The objective is to analyze the partial and simultaneous influence of both variables on performance. A quantitative causal survey was conducted using questionnaires distributed to 98 employees selected through census sampling. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS. The results indicate that work discipline and compensation have positive and significant effects on employee performance, with compensation showing a more dominant influence. The findings imply that integrating consistent discipline policies and strategic compensation systems enhances organizational performance sustainability.

Abstract

This study investigates how sustainable human resource management (HRM) inspired by Tri Hita Karana (THK) shapes the organizational performance of the Kayoman Pedawa community. Using a qualitative ethnographic design, this research collected data through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, which were analyzed thematically across parahyangan, pawongan, and palemahan. Findings show that HRM is manifested as social solidarity in recruitment (pawongan), spiritual motivation through rituals (parahyangan), and ecological responsibility via conservation practices (palemahan). The study argues that the sustainability of community-based organizations in Bali depends on integrating modern management practices with local philosophical values.

Abstract

Greenwashing has become a growing concern in corporate sustainability reporting, particularly in emerging markets such as Indonesia where ESG enforcement remains limited. This study examines the effect of financial performance on greenwashing, with institutional ownership as a moderating variable. Financial performance is measured using Return on Assets (ROA), while greenwashing is defined as the gap between ESG disclosure and ESG performance following Yu et al. (2020). Using panel data from 109 Indonesian manufacturing firms during 2017–2023, the results show that stronger financial performance reduces greenwashing, while institutional ownership weakens this relationship, indicating a tendency toward symbolic disclosure.

Abstract

This study tests the effects of tax planning, earnings volatility, and financial statement integrity on firm value, with financial stability as a moderator, among Southeast Asian technology firms (2022–2024). From the Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore stock exchanges, 29 firms were selected (87 firm-year observations). Random-effects panel regression with interaction terms indicates no direct impact of tax planning, earnings volatility, or reporting integrity on firm value, and no moderating effect of stability on tax planning or integrity. Yet stability significantly amplifies a negative volatility–value relationship: when firms are financially stable, higher earnings volatility lowers market valuation. Keywords: Earning Volatility; Financial Stability; Financial Statement Integrity; Firm Value; Tax Planning

Abstract

This study examines how compensation affects employee retention, turnover intention, and job performance, with job satisfaction as a mediating variable among Generation Z employees at PT Shopee International Surakarta. Using a cross-sectional survey, data from 270 respondents were analyzed with PLS-SEM. The results show that compensation increases retention, job performance, and job satisfaction, while reducing turnover intention. Job satisfaction strengthens retention and lowers turnover intention, but does not significantly affect job performance. These findings imply that compensation is essential for retaining Generation Z employees, whereas performance is shaped more by operational systems than satisfaction.

Abstract

Digital transformation remains context-specific for MSMEs, especially in non-metropolitan regions. This study examines its drivers among MSMEs in Kulon Progo Regency, Indonesia, using an exploratory qualitative design and MICMAC analysis of expert judgments from practitioners, academics, and government. Twenty variables were mapped through influence–dependence analysis. Results indicate that external forces customer digital demand, competitive pressure, digital infrastructure, ecosystem conditions, and cybersecurity concerns are primary drivers. Organizational and institutional factors function mainly as relays, while internal capabilities appear as outcomes. The findings highlight policy priorities to strengthen external enablers and intermediary mechanisms for sustainable regional MSME digitalization.
