Abstract

The coastal area of Desa Sungai Nibung is a conservation area with high biodiversity. This area has been used for various activities, such as capture and aquaculture fisheries, shipping traffic, and tourism. These activities could affect the waters, ecosystems, and biodiversity condition. Water quality is determined by several parameters, which one of the bioindicators is microalgae. The presence of certain microalgae contributes to the change in the color of the water which indicates the presence of HABS phenomenon. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the composition of microalgae in the waters of Desa Sungai Nibung. Water samples were taken by purposive sampling method in 5 stations with different environmental characteristics. Each station was taken surface water using a plankton net. Microalgae in the samples were then observed with a microscope and their abundance was calculated. The composition of microalgae consisted of 22 genera, belonging to Bacillariophyceae (14 genera), Dinophyceae (7 genera), and Chlorophyceae (1 genus). The Bacillariophyceae dominated the waters with a percentage of 63.66%. Microalgae abundance ranged from 3.94-7,329.25 ind/L with oligotrophic and mesotrophic categories. The diversity index was low to medium (0.74-1.78), Evenness index was low to medium (0.31-0.66), and dominance index was low to high (0.24-0.74).

Abstract

Denpasar City is one of the areas that has succeeded in reducing the prevalence to 5.5%, one of which is by providing guidance to prospective brides to reduce the risk of stunting cases by implementing the ELSIMIL application. This study was conducted to obtain an overview of the factors that influence the behavior of using the ELSIMIL application in Denpasar City so that it can be an effort to accelerate stunting reduction. Data were collected from 14 informants, both users and policy holders. Data collection methods through interviews, observations, and document studies with validity testing through source triangulation and method triangulation. The results of the description of the ELSIMIL application implementation show that performance expectations, effort expectations, social influences, and facility conditions affect usage behavior along with behavioral intentions according to UTAUT theory. Performance expectations, which include perceived usefulness, motivation, relative advantage, and belief in the future potential of the application, are the main factors supporting usage behavior. Effort expectations include perceived ease and complexity of information can be a factor that supports behavioral intentions. Social support from family and friends and application conditions can also influence ELSIMIL usage behavior

Abstract

Research into the development of Ethno-STEM integrated digital teaching materials is urgently carried out because of the enormous potential of this approach in holistically improving students' 21st century skills. Ethno-STEM combines local cultural values with STEM concepts, creating a learning context that is relevant to students' everyday lives. The problem with this research is that students' 21st century skills scores are still in the low category, and the application of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) based teaching materials is also still low. The research solution is to develop integrated Ethno-STEM digital teaching materials assisted by Augmented Reality to improve students' 21st century skills. The research method is development research using the Ploomp model. Development research consists of 3 stages, namely the preliminary stage, development stage and assessment stage. The results of the research are that Etno-STEM integrated digital teaching materials have valid and practical criteria for use in physics learning. Ethno-STEM integrated digital teaching materials assisted by augmented reality are valid for aspects of material substance, learning design, visual communication and software utilization. Ethno-STEM integrated teaching materials assisted by Augmented Reality received practicality scores with good criteria in the aspects of useful, easy to use, interesting, clear, cost-effective and ETno-STEM.

Abstract

Applying the project-based learning model in learning can train and develop scientific attitudes and problem-solving skills so that students can increase creativity, innovation, and critical perspectives. This research aims to determine the effect of the project-based learning model on student's science process skills and critical thinking. The research subjects of class X Phase E.  This research was quantitative research with a quasi-experimental research design with a non-randomized control-group pretest-posttest design. The instruments used are essay questions on science process skills and critical thinking. The test results were analyzed using Quade's rank analysis of covariance statistical test and the One Way Ancova test. The research results show that the average pretest-posttest score of experimental class students taught using the project-based learning model is higher than that of control class students taught using the problem-based learning (PBL) model. Hypothesis testing using Quade's rank analysis of Covariance and One Way Ancova tets informs that the use of the project-based (PjBL) model affects student's science process skills and critical thinking.

The data used in this research was obtained from documents indexed by Google Scholar from 2015-2024 using Publish or Perish and Dimension.ai. Research procedures use PRISMA guidelines. The data identified and analyzed are the type of publication, publication source, and the title of research on PBL model to improve generic science skill in science learning that is widely cited. The data analysis method uses bibliometric analysis assisted by VOS viewer software. The results of the analysis show that research trend on PBL model to improve generic science skill in science learning indexed by Google Scholar from 2015 to 2024 has experienced a fluctuating increase. Research trend with an increase in the number of publications from 2015 to 2018. However, in 2019 and 2022 the research trend on the generic science ability in learning has decreased from the previous year and the research trend increase again in 2023. There are many documents in the form of articles, proceedings, book chapters and edited books that discuss research about Problem Based Learning model to improve generic science skills in science learning. Key words that are often used in research of generic science are critical thinking, e module, science learning, PBL, etc.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the viability, practicality, and effectiveness of based on discovery learning (E-LKPD) in raising students' motivation to learn and cultivating their critical thinking abilities (CTS). This study adopts a quantitative methodology by utilizing the research and development (R&D) technique and the Borg and Gall model. Sixty-two students from SMA Negeri 1 Baitussalam's class XI make up the study sample. The average results of the viability test for the E-LKPD, reviewed from the aspects of material completeness, accuracy, currency, and alignment with objectives, obtained a percentage of 91.25% with the criterion of "very feasible." Meanwhile, the practicality of the E-LKPD based on the responses from students and teachers achieved average percentages of 87.38% and 82.5%, respectively, with the criterion of "very practical." The effectiveness assessment of the E-LKPD, based on non-test results of learning motivation with an N-Gain percentage of 0.56 and the students' CTS test results with a completeness percentage of 79.48, falls under the criterion of "quite effective." Therefore, it can be concluded that this discovery learning-based E-LKPD is viability, practicality, and effectiveness in enhancing learning motivation and achieving students' critical thinking skills (CTS).
