Abstract

Penelitian ini menilai pengaruh perangkat komunikasi satelit terhadap kinerja akademik mahasiswa sarjana di Negara Bagian Ogun, Nigeria. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain survei deskriptif. Teknik pengambilan sampel acak sederhana digunakan untuk memilih dua ratus (200) mahasiswa sarjana dari Departemen Teknologi Pendidikan, Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun, Negara Bagian Ogun. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah kuesioner yang disusun sendiri oleh peneliti. Analisis data dilakukan dengan statistik inferensial (uji t, ANOVA, dan analisis regresi berganda). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa akses dan pemanfaatan perangkat komunikasi satelit berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pembelajaran mahasiswa, dengan pemanfaatan memberikan kontribusi yang lebih besar dibandingkan akses. Namun, faktor gender tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap akses maupun pemanfaatan perangkat tersebut untuk tujuan pembelajaran. Sebagai simpulan, perangkat komunikasi satelit memiliki dampak positif yang signifikan terhadap kinerja akademik mahasiswa sarjana. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, direkomendasikan agar staf akademik dapat memanfaatkan tingginya tingkat akses dan penggunaan perangkat komunikasi satelit di kalangan mahasiswa dengan mengintegrasikannya ke dalam metode pengajaran dan pembelajaran. Misalnya, dosen dapat menggunakan video daring atau podcast untuk melengkapi perkuliahan atau memasukkan program televisi yang relevan ke dalam materi kuliah. Hal ini dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan, minat, dan hasil belajar mahasiswa.This study assessed the influence of satellite communication devices on undergraduates’ academic performance in Ogun State, Nigeria. Descriptive survey research design was adopted for the study. Simple random sampling technique was used to select two hundred (200) undergraduates in the Department of Educational Technology, Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun, Ogun state. The instrument for data collection was a self-constructed questionnaire. The data analysis was subjected to inferential statistics (T-test, ANOVA and Multiple Regression Analysis). Findings revealed that access and utilization of satellite communication devices significantly influence undergraduate learning, with utilization contributing more than access. However, gender does not significantly affect either access or utilization for learning purposes. In conclusion satellite communication devices have a significant positive impact on undergraduates’ academic performance. Based on the findings, it was therefore recommended that academic staff can leverage the high access and utilization of satellite communication devices among students by incorporating them into their teaching and learning methods. For instance, they could use online videos or podcasts to supplement their lectures or incorporate relevant television programs into their course content. This can enhance student engagement, interest, and learning outcomes.

Abstract

Rendahnya literasi sains siswa menjadi salah satu permasalahan utama dalam pembelajaran IPA dikarenakan proses pembelajaran masih didominasi metode konvensional yang bersifat abstrak dan kurang kontekstual. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran interaktif mobile learning berbasis etnosains untuk meningkatkan literasi sains siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan menggunakan model 4D yakni Define, Design, Develop, Diseminate. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII di SMP Islam Diponegoro Surakarta yang berjumlah 20 anak. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar angket dan lembar tes literasi sains. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) Media pembelajaran interaktif mobile learning berbasis etnosains memiliki kriteria valid dengan nilai validasi sebesar 4,59, 2) Media pembelajaran interaktif mobile learning berbasis etnosains serta efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi sains siswa dengan nilai N-gain sebesar 0,67, 3) Media pembelajaran interaktif mobile learning berbasis etnosains memiliki kriteria praktis dengan rerata respon positif sebesar 3,65. Temuan ini memperkuat pentingnya integrasi budaya lokal dalam pengembangan media digital di sekolah menengah. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media yang dikembangkan memiliki kualitas baik dan layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran.The low scientific literacy of students is one of the main problems in science learning because the learning process is still dominated by conventional methods that are abstract and less contextual. This study aims to develop interactive learning media for mobile learning based on ethnoscience to improve students' scientific literacy. This research is a development research using the 4D model, namely Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate. The subjects of this study were 20 students of grade VII at SMP Islam Diponegoro Surakarta. The research instruments used in this study were questionnaires and scientific literacy test sheets. Data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis. The results of the study show that 1) The interactive learning media for mobile learning based on ethnoscience has valid criteria with a validation value of 4.59, 2) The interactive learning media for mobile learning based on ethnoscience is also effective in improving students' scientific literacy with an N-gain value of 0.67, 3) The interactive learning media for mobile learning based on ethnoscience has practical criteria with an average positive response of 3.65. These findings reinforce the importance of integrating local culture in the development of digital media in secondary schools. Therefore, it can be concluded that the media developed has good quality and is suitable for use as a learning medium.

Abstract

Penelitian ini ialah jenis penelitian meta analisis dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan sebelumnya. Teknik analisis data dipenelitian ini ialah analisis statistik kuantitatif dengan aplikasi SPSS 16. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui bagaimana penerapan penggunaan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada hasil belajar peserta didik.  Sumber data pada penelitian ini yaitu dari dua puluh artikel yang kemudian dianalisis dan didapatkan dua belas artikel yang sesuai dengan penelitian. Dari dua belas artikel yang dianalisis dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan PBL dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik dari hasil rata- rata pretest 57.54, kemudian dibandingkan dengan hasil rata-rata postest 80.84 mengalami peningkatan pada hasil belajar peserta didik dan dilihat dari uji N-Gain rata-rata tersebut termasuk dalam kategori tinggi yaitu lebih dari 0,7 yang artinya efektivitasnya tinggi. kemudian untuk N Gain persen nilai mean 77.49 lebih besar dari 76% maka tafsirannya efektif atau bisa diartikan penerapan model pembelajaran PBL efektif.This research is a type of meta-analysis research from research that has been conducted previously. The data analysis technique in this research is quantitative statistical analysis with the SPSS 16 application. The aim of this research is to find out how to apply the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model to student learning outcomes. The data source in this research was twenty articles which were then analyzed and twelve articles were obtained that were in accordance with the research. From the twelve articles analyzed it can be concluded that learning with PBL can improve student learning outcomes from the average pretest result of 57.54, then compared with the average posttest result of 80.84 there is an increase in student learning outcomes and seen from the average N-Gain test This average is included in the high category, namely more than 0.7, which means the effectiveness is high. then for N Gain percent the mean value is 77.49 which is greater than 76%, so the interpretation is effective or can be interpreted as implementing the PBL learning model effectively.

Abstract

This research explores the experiences of college students benefiting from the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4P’s) and the Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) in the Philippines, two government initiatives designed to support impoverished households and disadvantaged students. Through in-depth interviews, the study examines the beneficiaries' experiences, challenges they face, and their coping and budgeting strategies. The research identifies four central themes: the importance of financial security, especially in covering tuition fees; the aspiration to excel in education, fostering optimism and practicality; a prevailing sense of pragmatic optimism in informed spending decisions; and the ability of beneficiaries to effectively prioritize expenditures. These findings have broader implications, potentially guiding policy improvements for the 4P’s and TES programs to enhance their effectiveness. Additionally, they may motivate college students to persevere in their academic pursuits and inspire them to achieve their educational goals.

Abstract

Implementasi Pembelajaran Kuliah Kerja Lapangan (KKL) berbasis inquiry telah dilakukan program studi S3 Ilmu Lingkungan UNS. KKL berfungsi mengaplikasikan teori di dalam kelas dengan di lapangan sehingga akan berpengaruh pada hasil belajar dan keefektifan pembelajaran. Melalui KKL berbasis inquiry, mahasiswa memperoleh pengalaman langsung dalam menjelajahi dunia kerja dan masyarakat, dengan penekanan pada pengembangan keterampilan analitis, kemampuan pemecahan masalah, serta pengambilan keputusan yang didasarkan pada data. Pendekatan inquiry memberi peluang bagi mahasiswa untuk aktif terlibat dalam proses pembelajaran, dengan cara mengajukan pertanyaan, melakukan penelitian, dan mencari solusi atas tantangan yang dihadapi di lapangan. Penelitian ini membahas tentang implementasi Kuliah Kerja Lapangan berbasis inquiry pada mahasiswa S3 Ilmu Lingkungan. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa yang  melakukan kuliah kerja lapangan di TN Baluran. Analisis data dimulai dengan wawancara kepada subjek penelitian tentang implementasi Kuliah Kerja lapangan, sedangkan untuk data hasil belajar digunakan tabulasi. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara, implementasi pembelajaran KKL S3 Ilmu Lingkungan atas tiga tahapan, yakni tahapan persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan sesudah KKL. Tujuan KKL ini adalah meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep teoritis, mengaplikasikan pengetahuan mahasiswa terhadap situasi dan kondisi TN Baluran serta menemukan problem solving atas permasalahan lingkungan di TN Baluran. Pembelajaran KKL berbasis inquiry ini berperan penting dalam pencapaian IKU, terutama dalam aspek peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran, pengembangan kompetensi mahasiswa, serta mempererat hubungan perguruan tinggi dengan dunia industriImplementation of inquiry-based Field Work Lecture (KKL) learning has been carried out by the UNS Environmental Science Doctoral study program. KKL functions to apply theory in the classroom and in the field so that it will influence learning outcomes and learning effectiveness. Through inquiry-based KKL, students gain direct experience in exploring the world of work and society, with an emphasis on developing analytical skills, problem solving abilities, and decision making based on data. The inquiry approach provides opportunities for students to be actively involved in the learning process, by asking questions, conducting research, and finding solutions to challenges faced in the field. This research discusses the implementation of inquiry-based Field Work Lectures for PhD students in Environmental Science. The method used is a qualitative method. The subjects of this research were students who did fieldwork at Baluran National Park. Data analysis began with interviews with research subjects regarding the implementation of fieldwork lectures, while for learning outcome data tabulation was used. Based on the results of the interview, the implementation of KKL learning for Doctoral Environmental Sciences consists of three stages, namely the preparation, implementation and post-KKL stages. The aim of this KKL is to improve the ability to understand theoretical concepts, apply student knowledge to the situation and conditions of Baluran National Park and find problem solving for environmental problems in Baluran National Park. This inquiry-based KKL learning plays an important role in achieving IKU, especially in the aspects of improving the quality of learning, developing student competencies, as well as strengthening relations between universities and the industrial world.

Abstract

Bahan ajar IPAS Terpadu berbasis kearifan lokal pada materi Indonesiaku kaya budaya dapat menjadi fasilitas penunjang atau pendukung dalam upaya untuk memberdayakan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan menganalisis informasi yang ada untuk menemukan solusi dari masalah yang dihadapi. Output penelitian dan pengembangan ini berupa bahan ajar IPAS pada materi Indonesiaku kaya budaya dalam bentuk flipbook yang valid, user friendly, sesuai kebutuhan, dan dapat diakses menggunakan android, laptop, mupun komputer. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mengembangkan dan menghasilkan bahan ajar IPAS Terpadu model pembelajaran PBL pada materi kearifan lokal yang valid dan layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Metode penelitian ini yaitu penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) dengan merujuk kepada model 4-D yang meliputi 4 tahap penelitian yaitu Define, Design, Development, and Disseminate. Tekhnik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan V-Aiken dengan instrumen penelitian berupa lembar angket skala likert 1-5. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data yang telah dilakukan bahan ajar IPAS yang dikembangkan mendapat skor kelayakan total sebesar 0,89 dan termasuk dalam kategori valid. Sehingga bahan ajar layak dan dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran.Development of integrated science and science teaching materials based on local wisdom on culturally rich indonesian material in state elementary schools 5 sources can be supporting facilities in an effort to empower critical thinking skills and analyze existing information to find solutions to the problems faced. The output of this research and development is in the form of IPAS teaching materials on local wisdom material in the form of flipbooks that are valid, user friendly, according to needs, and can be accessed using Android, laptop or computer. The aim of this research is to develop and produce integrated science and science teaching materials with a PBL learning model based on local wisdom materials that are valid and suitable for use in learning. This research method is research and development (R&D) with reference to the 4-D model which includes 4 research stages, namely Define, Design, Development, and Disseminate. The data analysis technique in this research uses V-Aiken with a research instrument in the form of a 1-5 Likert scale questionnaire. Based on the results of the data analysis that has been carried out, the developed science teaching materials received a total feasibility score of 0.89 and are included in the valid category. So that teaching materials are suitable and can be used in learning.

Abstract

Makalah ini menyediakan templat untuk mempersiapkan makalah untukHasil belajar merupakan cara yang pendidik lakukan untuk mengetahui ketercapaian pembelajaran yang telah dilakukan. Hasil belajar kognitif siswa di sekolah masih cenderung kurang dan memiliki berbagai faktor penyebabnya. Minimnya inovasi pembelajaran mengakibatkan siswa tidak terlibat secara aktif dalam proses pembelajaran sehingga eksplorasi materi pelajaran yang diberikan terkesan monoton dan berdampak pada hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan LKPD terhadap hasil belajar kognitif siswa kelas VII. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri di Kota Serang Kelas VII dengan materi Zat dan Perubahannya. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII sebanyak 206 siswa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Pre-eksperimental Design dengan teknik analisis deskriptif kuantitatif yang menggunakan quasi eksperimen berupa pretest dan post-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukan terdapat tingkat keefektivitasan menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning berbantuan LKPD terhadap hasil belajar kognitif pada kelas VII A 63.33%, VII B 56,9%, dan kelas VII D 73,8% dengan kategori cukup efektif. Peserta didik mengalami peningkatan hasil belajar pada materi komposisi zat dan perubahannya.Learning outcomes are a way that educators do to determine the achievement of learning that has been done. Students' cognitive learning outcomes in schools still tend to be lacking and have various contributing factors. The lack of learning innovation results in students not being actively involved in the learning process so that the exploration of the subject matter provided seems monotonous so that it has an impact on student learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model assisted by LKPD on cognitive learning outcomes of seventh grade students. This research was conducted at public junior high schools in Serang City Class VII with the material of Substance and its Changes. The research subjects were seventh grade students totaling 206 students. The type of research used in this study is Pre-experimental Design with quantitative descriptive analysis techniques using quasi experiments in the form of pretest and post-test. The results showed that there was an effectiveness level using the Problem Based Learning learning model assisted by LKPD on cognitive learning outcomes in class VII A 63.33%, VII B 56.9%, and class VII D 73.8% with a fairly effective category. Students experience an increase in learning outcomes in the material composition of substances and their changes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Problem-based Learning with Teaching at the Right Level approach on learning outcomes and group discussion skills of environmental change material for class X6 SMAN 1 Jember. This research included Classroom Action Research (CAR) which was carried out in 2 cycles. The research design used has a cyclical form that refers to the Kemmis & Taggart model with four main activities, namely planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The data collection of learning outcomes was carried out through post tests while group discussion skill data was carried out through observation to students referring to Greenstein indicators. The results showed an increase in learning outcomes and discussion skills in cycle 2 with a percentage of classical completeness of 91.67% and an average group discussion skill of 85.67% with a very good category.

Abstract

E-book IPA bebasis etnosains merupakan media pembelajaran hasil inovasi dari perkembangan teknologi, dengan maksud untuk menjadikan pembelajaran IPA berbasis kearifan lokal menjadi menarik dan mudah dipahami oleh siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan produk dan respons siswa terhadap media pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan 4D oleh Thiagarajan. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 34 siswa kelas VII-E SMPM 15 Brondong. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Media e-book IPA berbasis etnosains layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran dengan nilai rata-rata validitas pada aspek media sebesar 0,90 dalam kategori sangat valid dengan nilai rata-rata reliabilitas sebesar 99,14% dalam kategori sangat reliabel. Pada aspek materi memperoleh nilai rata-rata validitas sebesr 0,96 dalam kategori sangat valid dan nilai rata-rata  99,61% dalam kategori sangat reliabel. (2) Respons siswa terhadap e-book IPA sangat baik dengan nilai rata-rata pada uji coba skala kecil dan skala besar sebesar 84,20% dan 86,20% dalam kategori sangat baik, menunjukkan bahwa siswa sangat tertarik untuk membaca e-book IPA berbasisi etnosains.Ethnoscience-based Science E-books are learning media, as a result of innovation from technological developments, to make science learning simple and interesting, and easy for students. The development design was 4D for Thiagarajan. This research aims to determine the feasibility of learning media, and students responses to learning media. The media trials were conducted on 34 students in classes VII-E at SMPM 15 Brondong. The result showed that: (1) Science E-book media were suitable for use as a learning medium with an average validity result of 0.90 in the media aspect in the very valid category and an average media reliability result of  99.14% in the reliable category. The average validity result on the material aspect was 0.96 in the very valid category, with an average media reliability result of 99.61% in the reliable category, (2) The average readability result for the small group were 84.20% in the high-interest category. The average readability result in the big group was 86.20% in the high-interest category, indicating that student are very interested in reading the Ethnoscience-based Science E-books.

Abstract

Kemampuan presentasi merupakan keterampilan seseorang dalam mengungkapkan informasi, pikiran, juga perasaan yang ada di pikirannya dengan menggunakan kata-kata, tulisan, gambar, simbol, dan angka. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah: mengetahui pelaksanaan, aktivitas siswa dan efektvitas  pembelajaran yang menerapkan model pembelajaran Example Non Example dengan pendekatan Scientific Literacy terhadap kemampuan presentasi siswa kelas VII SMPN 1 Nguntoronadi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Quasi Experiment Design dengan desain penelitian “non equivalent pretest-posttest control group design”. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII SMPN 1 Nguntoronadi yang terdiri dari 27 siswa untuk kelas eksperimen dan 26 siswa untuk kelas kontrol. Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar observasi kemampuan representasi, tes dan angket. Data selanjutnya dianalisis dengan uji t. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah kemampuan presentasi siswa yang menerapkan model pembelajaran Example Non Example dengan pendekatan Scientific Literacy memiliki perbedaan apabila dibandingkan dengan kemampuan presentasi siswa yang menerapkan model pembelajaran konvensional. Hal ini dapat dilihat melalui nilai signifikansi hasil uji T yaitu sebesar 0,000.Presentation ability is a person's skill in expressing information, thoughts, as well as feelings that are in his mind using words, writing, pictures, symbols, and numbers. The purpose of this research is: to determine the implementation, student activity and learning effectiveness of applying the Example Non Example learning model with a Scientific Literacy approach to the presentation skills of seventh grade students of SMPN 1 Nguntoronadi. This research used the Quasi Experiment Design approach with the research design "non-equivalent pretest-posttest control group design". The research sample was the seventh grade students of SMPN 1 Nguntoronadi consisting of 27 students for the experimental class and 26 students for the control class The research instruments were observation sheet of representation ability, test and questionnaire. The conclusion of this study is that the presentation skills of students who apply the Example Non Example learning model with a Scientific Literacy approach have a difference when compared to the presentation skills of students who apply conventional learning models. This can be seen through the significance value of the T test results which is 0.000.
