Abstract

This article argues that coffee is a transnational and global project in the colonial period to the present. The dramatic expansion of coffee in this period was partly brought about by foreign colonialism, and was emulated by the osing tribe. The Osing are exposed to a new culinary culture and make a new culture that is maintained until now. The culture of drinking coffee made a new festival called "Coffee with full bread". The 'gastro-cosmopolitan' culture in Banyuwangi revealed not only the extent to which the osing tribal community was confronted with transnational forces, but this influence was truly global and not limited to the osing community. this report shows that coffee is mobilized to create its own traditional osing community heritage, while also offering a platform for creative global consumerism. With the munim Osing coffee gives the sensation of being a whole Banyuwangi community with all the twists and turns in every steeping.

Abstract

This study aims to increasestudent interest and improve student IPS learning achievement bycooperative learning STAD with audio-visual in F class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Karangmalang in the second semester of academic year 2014/2015.This study uses a Classroom Action Research. Subjects were students of class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Karangmalang Sragen. This data collection is done by using interviews, tests, observation, and questionnaires.Technique authenticity of data by the method of triangulation techniques.Technical analysis is done by collection data, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The research process conducted three cycles, in each cycle includes four stages of action planning, action, observation and reflection.The results showed that: (1) Application of STAD cooperative learning in social studies learning can increase student interest class VIII F SMP Negeri 2 Karangmalang in the second semester of academic year 2014/2015, (2) use of cooperative learning STAD in IPS learning can improve learning achievement  eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Karangmalang in the second semester of academic year2014/2015. Increased student interest can be seen from the results of questionnaire student interest after the action, in cycle 1 reaches 26.5%, cycle 2 increased to 47.1%, and the third cycle increased to 88.2%. While student achievement on the initial conditions shows that the average score is 67.1 with classical completeness 55.9%, after the action on cycle 1 to increase the score of the average is 70.3 with classical completeness of 70.6%, cycle 2 increased average score becomes 73.4 with classical completeness 76%, and in 3 cycles increased, with an average score of 78.4 with classical completeness of 88.2%.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know which with the implementation of cooperative Jigsaw learning model can increase motivation and student learning outcomes on Social Science in VII-A Class, SMP Negeri 2 SambungmacanSragen. This research used Classroom Action Research (PTK) procedure. This subject of this research was VII-A Class, SMP Negeri 2 Sambungmacan Sragen with 32 students. This research consist of three cycles and each cycle in this research held in one meeting. The stages in this research are planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The methods of collecting observation data used observation, documentation, note field, and test. The technique of data analysis that used is qualitative data analysis technique. The result can be conclude: the implementation of Jigsaw learning model through image medium on basic competence describing the activity of economic principle can increase excitement or enthusiasm of student learning and lots of fun. The implementation of Jigsaw learning model through image medium can increase motivation and student learning outcomes quite high. Based on the questionnaire answer of Social Science learning motivation that given to student in the first cycle, can be known that the average is 128.13 or 64.06%, the second cycle is 134.53 or 67.27%, and the third cycle is 152.50 or 76.25%. While the value of cognitive post-test learning outcomes average in first cycle is 67.66 with completeness achievement 59.38, the second cycle is 76.09 with completeness achievement 78.13, and the third cycle is 85.00 with completeness achievement 100%, accordingly can be conclude thatthe implementation of Jigsaw learning model through image medium at Social Science learning can increase the motivation and student learning outcomes in VII-A Class, SMP NegeriSambungmacanSragen.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is the development of teaching media that can be realized in practice. In teaching and learning process, educators are obligated to develop teaching materials and supporting media as a learning tool. This is done in order to help learners to understand in receiving the lessons. As well as local history-based instructional media documentary film which is developed, by utilizing information technology, to facilitate educators deliver teaching materials and to help learners understanding the material which is received.The research method used is Research & Development (R & D) were adapted and modified by Borg & Gall. The step of the research include: (1) preliminary study (pro-survey), (2) development of the media, (3) Testing the effectiveness of the media. Testing  the effectiveness of the product is done by using experimental methods at STKIP-PGRI Pontianak, the researcher chose history education study program at the fifth the semester. The experimental study used two classes; those are A afternoon class as control group and B afternoon class as experimental group.The results obtained from the test of hypothesis of independent sample t test, p value = 0.020 (p <0.05) H0 is rejected, so there is a difference between the control and experimental class. It can be concluded that the history teaching medium with documentary films developed give significant influence on the student’ tolerance in the history study program at STKIP -PGRI Pontianak.

Abstract

Tapis was the one of traditional cloth that contained in Lampung society. There was a philosophy values that contained in some kind of the pattern of Tapis. This study aimed to; (1) a. know the learning model of Lampung Culture that have been implemented; b. know the needs of the learning model of Lampung Culture; c. know how big the culture awareness of the students in History Education Study Program of  University of Lampung; (2) Develop a learning model to integrate the philosophy values of Tapis in Lampung Culture at History Education Study Program of University of Lampung ; (3) Assess the effectiveness of learning model to integrate the philosophy values of Tapis on the learning the Lampung Culture to improve the culture awereness of History Education students. This research used the developmental research method (Research and Development/R&D). The method was used to produce some product and examine the effectiveness of those product. To be able to produce the product, the requirement analysis research was used in this research to examine the effectiveness of the product in order to serve the function in the society. This research was held at the sixth semester students of History Education Study Program. There were two classes; A class  as a experimental class and B class as a control class. This research was held of the even semester in the school year 2015/2016. The result of the effectiveness of the achievement (cognitieve) showed there was a significant difference in students’ ability between experimental and control class. The result showed the score of t value 8.557 in the level of significant 0.78 was higher than 0.05 (0.78 > 0.05). It could be conclude that experimental and control class were not in the same varian and the mean competence also was not same. The result of t value in the attitude assessment showed the score of thit (2.015) >ttab (1.678) in the level of significant 0.02 was lower than 0.05 (0.02 < 0.05), it could be conclude that Ho was rejected and the mean score before and after the treatement to the experimental class was not same. The result indicate that there was a significanct influence of the learning model of Lampung culture based on the philosophy values of Tapis to improve the Culture Awereness of the students. In conclusion, the integration development of the philosophy values of Tapis on the leaarning model in Lampung culture was effective to improve learning outcomes and the culture awereness of the students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study to analyze: 1) Increased social attitudes of students with cooperative learning Group Investigation (GI) XG grade students of SMA Banyumas, 2) Improvement of learning achievement of students with a history of cooperative learning Group Investigation (GI) at XG grade high school students Banyumas country.This type of research is a classroom action research (Classroom Action Research). This research was conducted with three cycles, each cycle consisting of four phases, namely: 1) planning action, 2) the implementation of the action, 3) observation, and 4) reflection. Each cycle executed on the basis of competence. Techniques of data collection is done in three ways: 1) observation, 2) test, and 3) questionnaire.The results of the implementation of the actions done shows social attitudes questionnaire scores average initial condition 64.03%, at the end of the first cycle of 68.05%, at the end of the second cycle of 733.72%, and at the end of the third cycle of 75.03%. While the test results to learn from baseline 66.80%, at the end of the first cycle of 72.31%, 78.20% in the second cycle, and at the end of the third cycle of 82.68%, and the obtained results above the minimum value of 75. The data completeness showed an increase in the quality of learning in the classroom XG history that includes an increase in social attitudes and achievement of students learning history. Increasing students' social attitude reflected in the interaction and participation of students during the learning process, while improving student learning outcomes addressed by increasing student learning outcomes and the number of students who achieve mastery learning in each cycle, based on the results of this study concluded that the use of cooperative learning approach Investigation Group (GI) is effective for improving social attitudes and learning achievement of students in the class history XG.

Abstract

The history lessons that have existed in the school curriculum generally only discuss the development of the times, occupation, the struggle for independence, and social, political, economic and cultural changes (government). All of these factors discussed are about human life and human interests. Based on these problems, in the curriculum of history subjects especially at the high school level it is necessary to add environmental education using the Ecopedagogy approach that is expected from this, students can have ecological intelligence such as empathizing with all forms of life, anticipating undesirable natural conditions, reducing natural damage, protecting cleanliness, understanding how nature supports human life, and how the symbiosis of mutualism between humans and nature if humans are able to protect it. So that through history lessons in the context of environmental education using the ecopedagogy approach can reduce environmental damage, natural damage that goes on by nature does not get better but is increasingly damaged.

Abstract

The Purpose of this study is to exsplore: (1) the learning plans in the use of visual media Museum Jenderal Sudirman Purwokerto, (2) the learning action in the use of visual media Museum Jenderal Sudirman Purwokerto, (3) result the learning in the use of visual media Museum Jenderal Sudirman Purwokerto, (4) the learning obstacle in the use of visual media Museum Jenderal Sudirman Purwokerto. This study is done in SMP Muhammadiyah Purwojati Kabupaten Banyumas.This study uses descriptive qualitative method. Sources of data used are informants, documents, documentations, place and event. The techniques for collecting the data are in depth interviews, observations, and document using purposive sampling technique. This study uses source triangulation, methodolical triangulation, investigator triangulation, and theory triangulation as its data validity. The data analysis technique used is interactive model include data reduction, data serving, and coclusion drawing or verification.            The result of this study are as follow: (1) in the learning plans, teacher set the SK and KD, desain the method, make RPP, prepare the media, and make questions. (2) the learning process consist of three activity steps; they are: pre activyti, main activity which consist of exsploration, elaboration, and confirmation, and post activity whisch is the last activity consist of reflection and assessment. (3) result learning in the use of visual media Museum Jenderal Sudirman Purwokerto shows succes (4) facilites and the lack of creativity of the theachers become obstacle in learning. To overcome the obstacles, the school will complete its facilities.

Abstract

Background: Learning media have an important functions in learning process, especially on historical subject.  As a given of instructional media information could be help teachers overcome the problem of material that was difficult to explain verbally. Therefore, in this study of developed historical of instructional media that could be to increase a variety of media as well as supported the activities of historical teachers in the classroom. These products of this development are graphic media like a comic book. The historical of the comic media based on Raden Intan I struggle to increase the values of nationalism students’. This research aimed to find out: (1) to know using media on historical subject at SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Raya; (2) to know process of development comic instructional media based  Raden Intan I struggle at SMA N 1 Tanjung Raya; (3) to determine the effectiveness of using comic media historical based on Raden Intan I struggle to increase students’ nationalism.Methods: This study was a research and development one referring to Research and Development  method (R&D) by using Borg and Gorl, and Sugiyono.  This hypothetical model adopted Molenda’s ADDIE model, the procedure of this research are, preliminary studies, the development of instructional media, and test the effectiveness of instructional media. Analysis of feasibility test using Likert scale with 5 ranges and effectiveness test of instructional media using t-test. Conclusion: Based on the result of pretest and posttest experimental class, it could be found that 8.569 at significance level of 0.000>0.05, therefore could be said that any influence toward of using media. Effectiveness of nationalism the results using t test, which means that the value of 4.257 at significance of 0.000>0.05. It meant that the result of experiment class before and after treatment had unequal. Such the historical of comic based on struggle Raden Intan I on instructional media have more effective for improving students’ achievement and nationalism. Based on the results that show the experimental class have better than control class.

Abstract

This research aims (1) to understand and analyze the socialization process of the curriculum 2013 on the history teachers in SMA Negeri 1 Boyolali; (2) to explain the implementation of the curriculum 2013 in the history learning with the scientific approach in SMA Negeri 1 Boyolali; (3) to explain the implementation of education character through the history lesson SMA Negeri 1 Boyolali; (4) to examine the impact of history learning on the increased character of students; ( 5 ) to explain the obstacles and efforts of the teachers in the implementation of the history learning in the curriculum of 2013 in SMA Negeri 1 Boyolali.The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. It is said as descriptive qualitative study since it puts more emphasis on the process. This form will be able to capture the various descriptive qualitative information with a meticulous and full of nuances that are more valuable than a mere statement of amount or frequency in the form of figures. Strategy used is a case study, where the researcher has to gather data completely and precisely of the case to know everything that is hidden from the problems researched.The results of the research show that (1) in the socialization process of the curriculum 2013 in SMA Negeri 1 Boyolali, all the history teachers has followed training. The training was held by the Institute of Development and Empowerment of the School Principal (LPPKS); (2) the teachers have run history learning with the scientific approach with Problem Learning Base model; (3) the implementation of education character through the history lesson runs well, the teachers always input character values in the history learning. The values which are in the material that are taught by the teachers of class X IIS 1 and XI MIA 4 namely the religious value, honest value, hard work value, creative value (think logically, and critically), independent value, democratic value, nationality spirit value, the love of homeland value, and the responsibility value; (4) In the history learning that has been implemented by the teachers, the impact on the increased character do not directly come up with a sudden or instant. The simple impact is the students are pleased and interested with the history lesson, when the teachers explain material and conduct a discussion, the students are enthusiastic; (5) In the implementation of hstory learning in SMA Negeri 1 Boyolali, there are obstacles found. The obstacles are found in the learning device which are many and complicated, the Learning Design Plan (RPP) and the assessment. Besides is the lack of the material in the history learning book in curriculum 2013. The effort that has been done, the teachers are disciplined in making the planning (RPP) or assessment, and to overcome the lack of material, the teachers direct the students to collect information from various sources.
