Abstract

Harapan Jaya Autobus company has experienced difficulties in the process of ticket booking.Many customers have complained that the process of ticket booking gives less satisfaction to the customer. Therefore, website design and creation is needed to enhance customer service. There are three stages to design and build webiste of PO. Harapan Jaya to support marketing activities. The first stage is analyzing the curent system to determine the needs of the proposed system. The second stage is designing a data flow diagram based on system requirements analysis. The last step is designing a system that consists of database design, business applications system design, and user interface design. Database design consists of conceptual, physical, and logical database design. Business application system design consists of designing the system architecture, network architecture, and security system, while the design of the user interface is divided into the user interface for the back end and front end. The website is tested using black-box testing. The results of the testing process is the website works well and the user interface is user friendly

Abstract

Investigation can be a complex task without any supporting system that provide a necessary data or a relevant information (Data Warehouse). Such as investigation of the PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) in analyzing a train accident due to human error that occurs is limited. Analysis conducted by KAI only focuses on individuals who are related and have not been able to analyze in detail because of lack of data. Would require analysis of a train wreck with a systematic method integrated with data warehouse so that recommendations given on target. This study, initially conducted by interview data collection using the Critical Decision Method (CDM) and inferred using the Emergent Themes Analysis (ETA). Then used a systematic method of Human Factors Analysis Classification System Indonesian Railroad (HFACS-IR) to analyze human error especially train accidents that occurred in Indonesia. Later. Before the application is made investigations, required making accident scenarios by using Linking Causal Factor.

Abstract

A company should pay attention to operational risk to maximise its efficiency and effectivity.Identification of failure and the cause and the impact of the failure at milling station is needed to be done so that the sugar production process can run well. Here, we employ a failure mode and effect analysis to identify the failure and its effect. We obtain 22 operational risks with two critical risks. The two critical risks are then used as top event in analysing the cause of the failure. The result from fault tree analysis shows that there are 4 basic events, which are the turbine vibrates, schedule part’s change before failure, high rainfall and the schedule and priority of processing

Abstract

PT. LTX is a company engaged in manufacturing that produce tin plate coil form. Coil packaging process needs to be done before it is sent to the customer. In the process of packaging the coil is found on the machine appender bottleneck causing measurement stations of diameter and wrapping coil to be delayed which makes the time coil packaging is not optimal. This study aims to determine the simulation model of the existing coil packaging process, determining the proposed improvements to optimize the timing of coil packaging process, as well as find out the time optimal coil packaging process. This study uses a software simulation with ProModel 7.5. ProModel simulation results showed that the average time coil packaging process for 657.81 hours per month, so that made three design alternatives and the best improvement is the third alternative with the addition of resources such as forklifts and additional mounting stations crown that yield an average of 315.296 hours per month.

Abstract

Limited space in apartment force the resident to use their space effectively and efficiently. The resident need a furniture that can save the space and easy to be move. Furthermore, the furniture’s material has to be eco-friendly in order to make a better environment for the future generation. One of the common furniture is chair. Based on survey of 20 apartment resident in Jakarta, the resident stated 12 feature of chair: easy to move (15%); eco-friendly material (35%); foldable (25%), hangable (15%), simple (30%), storage (30%), space-saving (35%), durable (10%), multifunction (25%), comfortable (50%), provide backrest (10%), and aesthetic (5%). These costumer statements have generate 4 design concept that can fulfil the requirements. First concept is a storage chair with HDPE material. Second concept is a storage chair with plywood material. Third concept is an easy-saving chair with HDPE material. Fourth concept is an easy-saving chair with plywood material.

Abstract

CV. Kembar Jaya is a metal casting manufacturing company which applies Make to Order (MTO) system. It,s characteristic of scheduling is dynamic batch on flow shop production system. This scheduling method has risen the tardiness of order completion and high level of pouring scrap. To solve this problem, a rescheduling procedure which able to increase the system’s performance is needed. To increase the system performance, a development of batch dynamic scheduling algorithm has been done to minimize the mean tardiness and total pouring scrap. The algorithm consists of setting molding area initialization and five sub algorithms. Sub algorithm of sorting order and determinating batch size will sort and breakdown the order into batches. Sub algorithm of molding area repairing will determine molding area allocation for batches. To prevent the drop temperature, sub algorithm of determination pouring time will identify the pouring temperature for batches. Sub algorithm of batch scheduling will schedule batch to work station. Then sub algorithm of rescheduling will accommodate the dynamic environment when order was inserted. Mean tardiness from the scheduling algorithm application is 7.39 hours or minimize mean tardiness until 65.72 %, from the current scheduling algorithm. Application of the scheduling algorithm can reduce total pouring scrap into 0 kg or 100 %.

Abstract

ProNers Home Care and Nursing Solution is a Home Care company established in 2007 in Surakarta – Central Java. According the fact that ProNers is a service company that make priority to public service, and also the excalation of ProNers’s status to a legal company since July 2012, ProNers needs to redesign the business process and the organizational structure, and to design standard operating procedure (SOP) to carry out their activity. The research uses Business Process Improvement (BPI) method with process reengineering approach which is steps to improve business processes or provide a new processes. First step is to studied the actual business process so we can determine the needs of human resource. Then it will be described in detail in the SOP. The research proposes a more appropriate business process design so the objectives of the company can be achieved. Matrix organizational structure with more focus on job specialization by adding two employees, each of them handle administration and finance division and marketing division. The final design of the SOP consists of nineteen SOPs.

Abstract

Compilation of Daftar Urut Kepangkatan (DUK) is one of the routine duty in human resource unit of Sebelas Maret University (UNS). Variable which must be paid attention in compilation of DUK are position, year of service, occupation practice, education and age. The change in structural PNS is very dynamic, so that DUK’s renewal done every months. Existence of some variable which must be paid attention in compilation of DUK and also the change in structural PNS UNS, hence needed of integrated information system so that DUK is up to date and valid. One of the information system development method by paying attention and desire requirement of consumer is Rapid Application Development (RAD). RAD method use approach of prototyping. Using this method, design of information system will be focused at desire requirement of human resource unit UNS.

Abstract

Nowdays, an increasing trend in industrial companies is to conduct outsourcing for those products and activities considered to be outside the company's core business. Because of the financial importance and the multi-objective nature of supplier selection decision, in this paper we make an effort to highlight those crucial aspects to process qualitative and quantitative performance measures. In this paper, we use a multi-criteria decision aid method (PROMETHEE) to solve such problems, and then perform a sensitivity analysis to analyze simultaneous change of the weights importance of performance criteria. The whole suppliers selection model presented here (PROMETHEE techniques plus sensitivity analysis) seems to be a useful tool inside the final decision phase of a supplier selection process.

Abstract

Salah satu proses produksi shuttle cock yang kritis dalam arti dapat mempengaruhi kualitas produk adalah pada waktu pemotongan bulu ayam. Hal ini dikarenakan bentuk bulu hasil potongan dapat mempengaruhi bentuk cock itu sendiri. Selama ini pemotongan bulu ayam untuk produk cock dilakukan secara manual dengan bantuan alat gunting satu persatu sehingga hasil yang diperoleh sangat lambat dan memiliki bentuk cenderung beragam. karena itu pengusaha industri kecil memerlukan alat bantu pemotong bulu yang dapat digerakkan secara manual. Kegiatan ini mencoba membuat alat potong yang dapat membantu proses pemotongan bulu. Nilai tambah dari alat yang digunakan adalah adanya alat pemanas untuk membantu proses pemotongan bulu. Dengan alat pemanas ini bentuk potongan menjadi lebih rapi, dan dapat memotong tiga hingga lima buah bulu ayam.
