Abstract

Kampung Akuarium is one of the historical places in the coastal area of North Jakarta. At the beginning, the area of Kampung Akuarium was dominated by swamps, so houses were built using stilt house construction. The development into a dense settlement which was then carried out evictions in the area and now it has become a residential area with the establishment of flats whose plans consist of 5 blocks. The purpose of this study is to explore in depth the changes that occur (especially regarding the function and spatial structure of the building and the surrounding environment) in Kampung Susun Akuarium. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with historical and architectural approaches to analyze problems in depth by exploring social and architectural phenomena. from time to time through detailed and in-depth data collection sourced from observations, interviews, documents and object description reports. Abstract

The Great Mosque of Sang Cipta Rasa is located in front of the Kasepuhan Palace Complex to the west of the square in front of the Kasepuhan Palace, Cirebon. The construction of this mosque was assisted by Sunan Bonang and Sunan Kalijaga. The physical work was carried out by the former Majapahit architect, Raden Sepat, assisted by 500 of his troops who were former Majapahit troops. (Budi, 2015). The religious shift from the end of the Hindu-Buddhist era to the entry of Islam affected the facade of the Great Mosque of Sang Cipta Rasa in Cirebon. Elements forming a building facade generally include the site entrance, ground floor zone, arcades, windows and building entrances, fences, roofs, and signs. and ornaments. This study uses a descriptive technique in its explanation. The research method used is a qualitative method, by observing the variable character of the facade of the Great Mosque of Sang Cipta. The purpose of this paper is to examine how the facade design of the Great Mosque of Sang Cipta on doors, windows, walls, and ornaments contains elements and components of Hindu, Javanese, Chinese and Islamic historical influences.

Abstract

This research focused on landscape design plan  to improve the sustainability of a tourist object. The method used is a programmed design which includes determining the problem, collecting relevant data and information, analyzing design decisions and ending with the determination of a landscape design plan. The data and information obtained consist of factual data, namely tourism activity programs, village tourism potential, landscape constraints for tourism sustainability, as well as normative data, namely spatial planning of tourist objects, sustainability principles, and landscape governance principles. The results of the analysis consist of determining the landscape theme, determining the type of vegetation design, and determining the variation of plant placement by criteria of tourism attributes and sustainability aspects.

Abstract

The research of the thermal environment of the school building is useful for determining the design strategy of a thermally comfortable school building. This research method is based on field measurements. A total of 8 classrooms from 4 public school buildings in Pontianak City with different characteristics of opening directions, orientations, and floor locations were selected in this study. The results showed that the air temperature and humidity in the classroom ranged between 26.9oC-33.5oC and 74.5%-84.2%. The average air velocity in the classroom is 0.24m/s. The globe temperature is higher than the air temperature with an average difference of 7.7oC. Protection against solar radiation and increased air velocity can be potential design strategies to achieve thermal comfort in classrooms.

Abstract

This reserach was conducted to explore student preferences to formulate the ideal canteen design criteria in this post-pandemic period. The analytical method used in this study is a content analysis method with the stages of open coding, axial coding, and selective coding through the data obtained using an online questionnaire. Based on the analysis, it was found that the dominant factors that became student preferences for the ideal post-pandemic canteen design criteria were "cleanliness and health" and "spacious room". Several things that can be considered to support these criteria are the availability of hygiene and health facilities, smoke-free rooms (cooking and smoking), additional signage, distance between furniture and visitors, additional barriers, consideration of space capacity, good air circulation, and open design.

Abstract

The RISHA applied to the Jayagiri house was compared with conventional technology, in terms of construction duration, costs, and environmental friendliness. The strength of the RISHA structure was be analyzed based on existing standards using SAP2000 and spColumn. The data were the literature studies and interviews with RISHA users, applicators, and the Directorate of Engineering Affairs for Human Settlements and Housing. Compared to conventional, the Jayagiri house is proven to be more eco-friendly with an efficiency value of 48.6 points. It was also built four weeks faster, with a lower cost of IDR123,043.90 per square meter, or 3.97%. The strength analysis shows that the capacity of the column reinforcement is still capable of carrying the designed load, the anchorage capacity of the X-direction beam has not met the requirements.
