Abstract

This study analyzes how students perceive the use of video conferencing software for educational purposes during the epidemic. During a pandemic, the researcher focuses on the students' use of Zoom, Google Meet, and Skype. This study's samples consist of six UIN Ar-Raniry English Language Department students with the online learning experience. This qualitative research collects data through interviews using purposive sampling. Several positive responses revealed that video conferencing software offers numerous advantages during the pandemic. Utilizing Zoom, Google Meet, and Skype is the most effective method for applying online learning throughout the pandemic's hard conditions. However, challenges such as adaptability to technological use, technical difficulties, and lack of computer literacy are inevitable.

Abstract

In spite of being included into receptive skill, reading is no longer considered as a passive activity of learning. It is known that readers should be actively engaged during the reading process in attempt to achieve comprehension. This study sought the impacts of the application of modeled reading in increasing students’ reasoning skill, both verbally and logically. Conducted by following quasi experimental characteristics, this study employed one-group pretest post-test design. There were 23 college students involved as the samples who were given a pretest, teaching treatment, and a post-test. The instruments used were two types of test: verbal reasoning test and logical reasoning test. Each set consists of 10 questions. During the data collection or test, the students were given 25 minutes to answer each set, for both the pretest and the posttest. Later, the data were analyzed using normality test and t-test to see if there is any significance increase after the treatment. The results unveil that both skills enhance after the treatment with modeled reading. First, students’ ability in verbal reasoning ability increases from 34.7 to 77 and logical reasoning ability increases from 65 to 83.4 in average. In conclusion, applying modeled reading can expand students’ cognitive ability in sharpening their verbal and logical reasoning which are beneficial during their learning, especially in reading comprehension.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of the articulation learning model at SMP Negeri 1 Pontang, especially in the subject of Islamic Religious Education. The method used is a qualitative method using SWOT analysis. The approach in this study is presented descriptively. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Pontang, Pontang District, Serang Regency, Banten Province. This research explains in detail the flow of articulation learning and also presents about Strenght, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats. The results of this study show that the articulation learning model on the strength aspect can train students' absorption and train students' readiness. On the aspect of weakness, this learning model can only be used by certain subjects. The opportunity aspect of this learning model, students are trained in speaking, can speak loudly and clearly. Meanwhile, on the threat aspect, this learning model can not be completed if a teacher is not able to manage learning time, because the articulation learning model requires a lot of time. With the implementation of the articulation learning model in PAI subjects, there are no longer students who think that PAI subjects are boring subjects.

Abstract

The Qur'an is one of the miracles of Allah bestowed to the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him-PBUH). As a miracle, its authenticity will be maintained until the end of time. One way to maintain the purity of the Qur'an is by memorizing it. Recently, either children or adults have been enthusiastic about memorizing the Qur'an, as proven by the opening of tahfiz schools by the government, society, or private educational institutions. The high interest in memorizing the Qur'an is God's guidance to maintain the purity of His words. On the other hand, parents also play a significant role in encouraging their children to memorize the Qur'an. Interestingly, although busy with work and the heads of the family or housewives, parents in Banda Aceh have successfully educated their children to become hafiz and hafizah. This qualitative study aimed to investigate the tahfiz learning model applied by families in Banda Aceh, Indonesia, to investigate the tahfiz learning model applied by families. The data was collected by observing and interviewing four hafiz families in Banda Aceh as research samples. The study results revealed that the tahfīẓ learning methods used by hafiz families were talaqqī, tasmī', tikrāri, and murāja'ah. The techniques used were ifrādi, tsawāb wa iqāb, and uswah. To conclude, The effective tahfiz learning model applied in Banda Aceh families was طريقة تكاملية (integrated method).

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students' mathematics, especially the material on trigonometric functions due to abstract mathematics and teachers who must have skills in the field of technology because they can help explain the learning material in totality. The aims of this study are (1) to determine student learning outcomes using the application of Geometer's Sketchpad software in learning material on trigonometric functions and (2) to determine the comparison of student learning outcomes with the help of Geometer's Sketchpad software can be better than student learning outcomes without Geometer's Sketchpad in class. X SMA/MA. This research is a quantitative research with a pretest-posttest control design. Sampling in this study was taken by total sampling.learning trigonometric functions in class with the help of Geometer's Sketchpad. The teacher uses infocus and guides students in the process of drawing graphs and students are also able to explain the amplitude, period, maximum value and minimum value and are able to write equations that match the graph. It is stated that the application of Geometer's Sketchpad software in learning trigonometric function material is better than learning trigonometric functions by not using software. It is proven by the posttest value which is significantly increased from the pretest value of the experimental class(2) The results of the experimental and control class posttest data that have been carried out and obtained> that is 5.87 > 1.68. Then it can be concluded that it is rejected and thus accepted, so that the learning outcomes of trigonometric function material with the help of Geometer's Sketchpad can be better than student learning outcomes without Geometer's Sketchpad in class X SMA/MA.

Abstract

Based on the author's initial observations at PAUD Istiqamatuddin Nurul Muarif regarding using APE during learning, the PAUD has used several APEs in learning. However, the APE used was not adequate to train fine motor development and did not vary to attract children's interest. The purpose of the study was to develop and see the feasibility of APE Multifunction Beams in developing fine motor skills for children aged 4-5 years. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE model using Dick and Carey Theory which consists of five stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. With instrument validation sheet material experts and media experts as well as children's observation sheets. Based on the assessment of 2 APE validation and 2 material experts, for material expert validation the total scores from V1 and V2 are 69 and 67, so the maximum total score is 80, so that the percentage results are 80% and 86% which fall into the very feasible category. While the APE validation scores V1 and V2 are 69 and 67, the number of frequencies is 16, so that the percentage results are 86.25% and 83.75% which are in the very feasible category. Then for the results of the observation sheet the child's fine motor skills got a score from the validator of 308, with the number of questions as many as 5 multiplied by 15 children, then the ideal total score obtained was 375 so as to obtain a percentage result of 82.13% which was included in the very feasible category. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the multifunctional APE beam can develop fine motor skills for children aged 4-5 years and is very suitable for use in the learning process.

Abstract

The purpose of writing this article is to describe and give an overview of ARCS learning model loaded with safety education in the new normal era. Using the writing method of literature review the author collects information related to learning in the new normal era, ARCS learning model and safety education from sharing sources ranging from books, journal articles and news media. ARCS is an instructional design learning model developed by Keller that focuses on motivation. Become a learning model to increase students' learning motivation. The ARCS model is very appropriate in the new normal era in the form of student protection through an educational perspective. It is hoped that with this reference educators can more optimally create a new normal era teaching plan that must apply health protocols strictly by paying attention to the psychological needs of students. This motivational model has four aspects that represent various motivational characteristics that exist in each individual, consisting of: attention, relevance, confidence and satisfaction. The safety educatin charge was initiated to provide provisions to students for the importance of protecting themselves and the environment from the current pandemic situation. Learning arcs model loaded with safety education can be carried out in various educational units while maintaining safety and health. So that learning activities take place optimally.

Abstract

The COVID pandemic that has hit all countries in the world has made the 2013 curriculum a modern learning approach that is appropriate to current conditions. Modern learning places students as learning subjects, and teachers act as facilitators. The research method used in this research is descriptive-qualitative. Aims to determine the implementation of the recitation method in the learning process. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, it can be seen that the recitation method can be a solution to support learning objectives. The recitation method can stimulate student abilities such as independence, responsibility, and discipline. Therefore, the recitation method is an appropriate learning method that can be carried out by subject teachers in an effort to increase students' learning motivation and train students' independence and responsibility.

Abstract

This research was conducted to describing the use of quizizz media as an ICT -based learning evaluation application and improve evaluation results through quizizz. This Classroom Action Research was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects in this study were students of class VIA SD Negeri 1 Glanggang as many as 24 students in the 2021/2022 Academic Year. The results showed that quizizz can be used as a learning evaluation application. There is an increase from the results of the evaluation using the quizizz media. This is evidenced by the increase in the value of learning outcomes before the action through the pre-test with an average of 68.12 to 81.25 in the first cycle and 82.70 in the second cycle, which means it can increase students' learning motivation and the quizizz media is effectively used as a learning evaluation.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the design of leaflet learning media based on local cultural wisdom in Cirebon for Class VIII social studies subjects at Cirebon Muhammadiyah Middle School, as well as its feasibility. This research uses qualitative research methods with an R&D approach with the ADDIE development model. The research was conducted at the Keraton Kacirbonan, which is a historical place in Cirebon City. The subjects of this research were tour guides and the community around the Keraton Kacirbonan. Miles and Huberman's qualitative data analysis technique was used in steps, namely: data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The result of this research is the creation of leaflet learning media based on the local wisdom of Cirebon culture, Keraton Kacirbonan as a learning resource for social studies subjects, material on the Plurality of Indonesian Society. Leaflet learning media components include: cover; content of lesson material; history of Keraton Kacirbonan; and practice. This learning media has material suitability in the "Very Good" category, and media suitability in the "Good" category, so it can be concluded that leaflet learning media is suitable for application in learning in schools.
