Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of the 21st-century character-based Civic Education (PKN) learning model in fostering a sense of responsibility among elementary school students. A descriptive qualitative approach was used, with in-depth interviews conducted with classroom teachers, subject teachers, and the Principal at Sindang Laut Public Elementary School. The results show that character-based learning that integrates 4C skills (critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, communication) can increase students' moral awareness and social responsibility. Teachers act as facilitators of values through contextual, reflective, and collaborative activities such asocial projects and case-based discussions. Evaluation was conducted authentically by assessing changes in student behavior and engagement. The main obstacles, namely the lack of consistency in applying values outside of school and the influence of the digital environment, were overcome through collaboration with parents and the strengthening of school culture. This study emphasizes the importance of synergy between schools, families, and communities in shaping responsible character and recommends ongoing training for teachers to.

Abstract

The Nutritional Meal Program (MBG) plays a vital role in improving the nutritional status of school children while requiring strong public accountability to ensure effective and transparent implementation. This study aims to develop a civic oversight model for MBG at the school level to strengthen program governance and enhance service quality. Using a rapid integrative literature review, the study analyzed various scientific sources, government policies, and credible reports. The findings identified five key pillars of community oversight: data transparency, application of simple HACCP-based food safety standards, responsive complaint mechanisms, cross-stakeholder collaboration, and participatory audits. Strengthening these pillars contributes to better information access, ensured food safety, and faster response to complaints in MBG implementation. The study recommends the use of public dashboards, easily applicable food safety SOPs, and accessible complaint channels for school communities and the wider public. The proposed civic oversight model is expected to enhance MBG accountability and increase public trust in the quality of school nutrition services, ultimately supporting the program’s effectiveness and sustainability.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the complexity of intergenerational teacher conflicts that often hinder synergy in the Vocational High School (SMK) environment. This study specifically examines the implementation of Pancasila values in conflict resolution strategies and collaborative team building by school principals. Using a qualitative case study approach at SMK Maharati, data was collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document studies. The research findings reveal that conflicts originating from differences in educational paradigms, digital divides, and cultural diversity were successfully transformed through a leadership approach that operationalizes the principles of Pancasila. The principal acted as a facilitator who applied deliberation for consensus (fourth principle) in mediation, social justice (fifth principle) through reverse technology mentoring programs, and strengthened unity (third principle) and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika through cross-group collaboration designs. This study concludes that educational leadership characterized by Pancasila is not only effective in resolving conflicts integratively but also capable of building a sustainable collaborative culture that converts diversity into a source of collective strength. The practical implication is that this leadership model can be adopted as a framework for developing principal capacity in diverse societal contexts to create harmonious and productive educational ecosystems.

Abstract

This study intends to analyze the role and leadership strategies of school principals in maintaining and internalizing Pancasila values in vocational education, using qualitative research at SMKN 1 Badegan. The research approach used is qualitative with a phenomenological qualitative design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the principal, teachers, and students, participatory observation of learning activities, and analysis of curriculum documents and school policies. The results of the study indicated three main findings. First, value leadership was manifested primarily through the principal's direct modeling in school rituals and collaborative projects. Second, the internalization of values takes place contextually through integration into vocational practices such as teaching factories and project-based learning. Third, systemic challenges were found in the form of gaps in teachers' pedagogical capacity and the lack of adequate assessment instruments to objectively measure the internalization of values. This study concludes that value leadership in rural vocational schools requires a triadic approach that combines personal exemplary behavior, contextual curricular integration, and the strengthening of support systems such as teacher training and the development of authentic assessment rubrics. The implications of this study recommend capacity-building programs for school leaders and teachers, as well as the need to replicate studies in various vocational contexts to develop a more holistic model.
