Abstract

Problems that arise in the classroom learning process suggest that some students may not be paying sufficient attention to teaching and learning activities. This condition has an impact on the low effectiveness of learning and makes students tend to be more passive, such as not daring to express their opinions, having difficulty in making decisions, and showing high dependence on others. This study aims to measure the level of learning interest of students at SDI AN-NUR using a quantitative approach. The research subjects consisted of 25 fifth-grade students. The learning media used were the national wheel as a means to increase student involvement and participation. This study used a quantitative method in the form of a pretest and posttest of students, as well as using the national wheel indicator in the form of a satisfaction questionnaire from educators and students in the application of learning media. Data analysis was carried out technically through score calculations, pretest and posttest grouping, and learning media suitability. The results showed that the average score using the national wheel media was 72.2 (pretest) and 87.36 (posttest) after using the national wheel method. The gain score between the pretest and posttest scores was 15.16. It is hoped that the implementation of national education media will help students become more active in the learning process, increase their courage in expressing their opinions, and support the development of independent thinking skills more optimally.

Abstract

The phenomenon of undocumented migrants is a global humanitarian issue that places states in a dilemma between the obligation to enforce immigration laws and the humanitarian responsibility to uphold human rights. Indonesia, as a state founded on Pancasila, faces challenges in formulating policies and practices for addressing undocumented migrants that are not only oriented toward legal–formal aspects but also reflect humane and ethical values. This study aims to analyze how the values of Pancasila can serve as an ethical and normative framework in responding to the presence of undocumented migrants, particularly in the context of the relationship between law enforcement and the state’s humanitarian responsibility. This research employs a qualitative method with a normative–empirical approach, utilizing literature review of national and international regulations as well as case analysis of undocumented migrant handling in Indonesia. The findings indicate that immigration law enforcement practices still tend to position undocumented migrants merely as objects of legal violations, potentially neglecting humanitarian principles as embodied in the second and fifth principles of Pancasila. Therefore, a more integrative and humane policy approach is required, with Pancasila serving as the foundational basis for balancing legal certainty, human rights protection, and the state’s humanitarian responsibility. This study is expected to contribute conceptually to strengthening the Pancasila-based perspective in the formulation of just and civilized migration policies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between the use of the Zep Quiz platform and students' learning interest in Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) in eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Garut. This study is based on the phenomenon of low student learning interest in subjects that tend to be normative and conceptual. The method used is a quantitative approach with an ex post facto correlational design. The population and sample of the study included 48 eighth grade students selected through a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected using a closed-ended questionnaire based on a Likert scale that had previously been tested for validity and reliability to measure the variables of Zep Quiz utilization and student learning interest. Data analysis was carried out using Pearson correlation tests and simple linear regression, after ensuring that all prerequisites for statistical analysis, including residual normality, had been met. The results of the study indicate a very strong and significant positive relationship between the use of the Zep Quiz platform and student learning interest. This finding indicates that the more optimal the use of Zep Quiz in PPKn learning, the higher the student's learning interest. Thus, the integration of gamification-based learning media has been shown to have strategic potential in increasing student engagement and motivation in junior high school. This research provides empirical evidence for the development of gamification-based PPKn learning and can serve as a reference for educators and policymakers in designing interactive, contextual, and student-centered digital learning.

Abstract

Learning in the subject of Pancasila Education at the present time requires students’ creativity in its implementation. One approach that can be applied to enhance students’ creativity is the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model. This study aims to identify the effect of implementing the PjBL model on improving students’ creativity in the Pancasila Education subject at SMPN 1 Indralaya, particularly in Grade VII. The method used in this research is a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental research design, specifically the non-equivalent control group design. The sample was selected using a non-probability method with purposive sampling, resulting in Class VII F as the experimental group with a total of 37 students, and Class VII G as the control group with the same number of students. Data collection techniques included tests, observations, and documentation, while data analysis methods involved normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis testing using the independent sample t-test. The results showed that the significance value was 0.003 < 0.05. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of implementing the PjBL model on enhancing students’ creativity in the subject of Pancasila Education at SMPN 1 Indralaya.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) learning model on improving students’ understanding of Pancasila Education material among eleventh-grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Indralaya Selatan. The research employed a quantitative approach with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sample consisted of 34 students from class XI.F5 selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through tests, observations, and documentation. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ average scores, from 41 on the pretest to 84 on the posttest. The Paired Sample T-Test result indicated a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of < 0.001 (< 0.05), meaning that the NHT model significantly influenced students’ comprehension improvement. These findings suggest that the NHT learning model effectively enhances students’ conceptual understanding, individual and group responsibility, and critical thinking skills in Pancasila Education learning.

Abstract

This study aims to examine in depth the role of the Scout Movement in supporting the implementation of anti-corruption education through character building, positive attitude habituation, and internalization of moral values in students at junior high school in Medan. The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative approach and literature review. Anti-corruption education emphasizes the formation of self-integrity, honesty, discipline, responsibility, social concern, and the courage to reject all forms of corrupt acts. The Scout Movement was chosen as the object of study because it has a systematic, structured, and non-formal education system based on direct experience, so that values can be instilled in real terms through the daily activities of Scout members. Through the implementation of the Scout code of honor in the form of Satya and Darma Pramuka, routine training activities, leadership simulations, educational games, teamwork, social activities, and the habituation of exemplary behavior from mentors, anti-corruption education can take place in an integrative, fun, and effective manner. The study results show that active student involvement in Scouting activities can increase moral awareness, strengthen character and integrity, foster a sense of civic responsibility, and foster a firm stance against fraud and corruption from an early age.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Nearpod media on improving students' critical thinking skills in Pancasila Education learning at SMA Negeri 10 Palembang. The study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design involving an experimental class and a control class. The learning process in the experimental class was conducted using Nearpod media, while the control class followed conventional learning. Data were obtained through pre- and post-learning critical thinking tests and were analyzed statistically. The results showed that students' critical thinking skills improved in both classes, but the improvement in the experimental class was greater than in the control class. This finding confirms that the use of Nearpod media has a positive and more effective effect on developing students' critical thinking skills in Pancasila Education learning. Furthermore, research findings indicate that the integration of interactive learning technologies can create a more engaging learning environment, encourage critical thinking, and increase student participation in analyzing teaching materials. These findings can serve as a guide for teachers in maximizing digital-based learning methods in schools.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze scouting education as a medium for student character building by exploring implementation, developed character values, method effectiveness, and supporting and inhibiting factors in organizing scouting programs. The research method uses a qualitative approach with literature review techniques analyzing indexed scientific journals from 2020 to 2025 through content analysis to identify patterns, themes, and consistent findings from various literature sources. The research results show that the implementation of scouting education is carried out systematically through routine training, ceremonial activities, and materials based on Dasa Dharma with methods of habituation, exemplary, assignment, lectures, and educative sanctions. Character values formed include religious dimensions, independence, discipline, responsibility, leadership, honesty, tolerance, mutual cooperation, and environmental care. The effectiveness of scouting methods is demonstrated through learning by doing approaches, educational games, and outdoor activities that create meaningful learning experiences. Supporting factors include principal support, experienced coaches, and adequate facilities, while inhibiting factors include lack of parental support, insufficient student understanding, and time limitations. This research concludes that scouting education effectively shapes students' holistic character through integration of adaptive and innovative scouting methods according to the developmental needs of students in the contemporary era.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are essential competencies in 21st-century learning, yet national assessment results indicate most students have not optimally developed these skills. This study aims to analyze the improvement of students' critical thinking skills through the Four Pillars of Nationhood extracurricular activities at SMA Negeri 1 Tanah Abang. The research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the supervising teacher and vice principal for student affairs, non-participant observations of extracurricular activities, and documentation. The findings reveal that the Four Pillars of Nationhood extracurricular activities successfully enhance six indicators of critical thinking skills interpretation through contextual problem identification, analysis through discussion of cause-effect relationships, inference through discussion conclusions, evaluation through reflection and one day one hour program, explanation through student presentations, and self-regulation through memorization progress recording. The learning strategies implemented include using current issues, interactive discussions, peer review of opinions, and literacy assignments. Observation results show strategy implementation achieved a score of 90 percent in the excellent category. The Four Pillars of Nationhood extracurricular activities proved effective as an alternative platform for optimizing critical thinking skills through structured, systematic, and contextual non-formal learning.
