Abstract

The study aimed to evaluate the implementation and effectiveness of group guidance services utilizing sociodrama techniques to mitigate negative friendship circles among students at SMA N 1 Bae Kudus. This research is novel as it specifically addresses the impact of negative friendships on adolescent development and employs sociodrama as a therapeutic intervention. The quasi-experimental design involved a one-group pretest-posttest method, revealing a significant reduction in the average score of negative friendship circles from 93.75 (high category) to 75 (medium category), indicating an 18.75% decrease. Hypothesis testing using the Wilcoxon test showed a significant difference (p = 0.018), confirming the positive effect of sociodrama techniques in enhancing students' understanding and management of their social interactions. This study provides valuable insights for educators and counselors in addressing peer relationship issues in schools.

Data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman theory, which involves data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that caregivers play a crucial role in the social adjustment of new students at the Al-Mubarok Islamic Boarding School. This role is implemented through five aspects: spiritual (habituation of worship), intellectual (learning), physical (health activities), social (group interaction), and emotional (psychological support). The challenges faced by caregivers in implementing these aspects of social adjustment for new students lie in the diverse backgrounds of the students. The strategies employed during the social adjustment of new students include building mutual commitment and organizing daily collective activities while the students reside in the Islamic boarding school.

Abstract

The college period is an important transitional phase that requires students to adapt to complex academic, social, and emotional challenges. Difficulties in adaptation often reduce students' well-being and quality of life. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of classical guidance services based on growth mindset and distress tolerance training in improving students' quality of life. The method used is a quantitative approach with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest design. The research sample consisted of 30 students selected through purposive sampling. The data collection instrument used the Quality of Life Inventory (QOLI), and the analysis was performed using a paired sample t-test. The results of the study showed a significant increase in students' quality of life scores after participating in the training, both overall and in each dimension. These findings confirm that the integration of growth mindset and distress tolerance can strengthen students' cognitive and emotional aspects, thereby improving their psychological well-being and ability to adapt to academic pressure.

The time of big changes in education needs early learning places to be creative and flexible as technology, society, and how we learn change quickly. This study looks at how important it is for teachers to have good emotional intelligence and the ability to adapt when teaching kids with special needs in early childhood settings. The research used a qualitative method with a case study to look at an inclusive early childhood school. Information was gathered through watching what happened, talking to people, and looking at records. The findings show that teachers who have strong emotional intelligence are better at understanding the unique needs of each child with special needs and can change their teaching methods to fit those needs. Also, a teacher's ability to use technology and change how lessons are presented is very important for getting inclusive education right in today's digital world. Abstract

Immaturity in students' career planning is often not caused by a lack of information, but rather by mental barriers in the form of irrational thought patterns and cognitive distortions. This study aims to map the overview of previous career guidance implementations, identify the methods used, and analyze the opportunities and relevance of Cognitive Restructuring techniques as an alternative approach to improving the effectiveness of career guidance services. The method used in this study was library research by analyzing literature from accredited national journals from 2020-2025. The results of the study indicate that although various career guidance methods such as classical guidance, the use of digital technology media, and problem-solving techniques have proven effective in improving professional insight and student motivation, there are gaps where students' internal cognitive aspects have not been deeply touched. The research findings confirm that Cognitive Restructuring techniques through Doyle's seven-step procedure have very strong relevance in filling this gap. This technique has a great potential to help students identify, challenge, and replace irrational career-related thoughts with more rational, adaptive, and realistic mindsets. The conclusions of this study emphasize the importance of integrating a cognitive approach into career guidance services to ensure students not only have sufficient career information but also the mental maturity to make future decisions.

Abstract

This research examines the integration between the development of Islamic personality and children’s psychological well-being as the foundation for holistic character formation from early childhood to adolescence. This topic is increasingly relevant amid modern challenges such as digital media exposure, adolescent identity crises, and declining family communication, which require parents and educators to have adequate understanding in guiding children. Islamic personality is defined as moral character built upon fundamental Islamic values including faith, piety, trustworthiness, and noble conduct, grounded in the Qur’an and the example of Prophet Muhammad. Psychological well-being refers to the child’s inner condition of feeling secure, loved, and able to develop optimally, corresponding to the concept of nafs al-muthmainnah. These two aspects are interrelated; spiritual and moral foundations strengthen the child’s values, while emotional stability supports the effective internalization of Islamic principles. The study reviews character development across three stages: early childhood, which emphasizes adab, akhlak, and tauhid; middle childhood, characterized by cognitive, social-emotional, and moral-religious growth; and adolescence, which requires the strengthening of self-efficacy based on tawakkul. The findings conclude that character formation is gradual and interconnected, with spiritual values and supportive environments serving as key determinants in shaping an insan kaffah, an individual who is morally upright, intelligent, emotionally stable, and resilient

Abstract

This article presents a descriptive critical review of Ki Fudyartanta’s book Personality Psychology: Various Approaches, which maps a wide range of theoretical perspectives used to understand the structure, dynamics, and development of human personality. The book discusses six major approaches, namely the existential approach, the trait approach, field theory, the factorial approach, the stimulus response S R approach, and the biocultural religious approach. This review outlines the core concepts of each approach and highlights their contributions to explaining the psychophysical uniqueness of individuals. In addition to presenting Western theories that are empirical and mechanistic, Fudyartanta introduces an integrative biocultural religious framework that positions spirituality, cultural values, and moral orientation as fundamental components in shaping the personality of Indonesian individuals. The analysis demonstrates that understanding personality requires a multidimensional and contextual perspective that integrates biological, psychological, social, and religious dimensions to portray humans holistically

Abstract

The Effectiveness of Group Guidance Using the Problem-Solving Technique is closely connected to adolescent development, particularly in understanding themselves, regulating emotions, and building healthy social interactions. Initial observations at MTs Muhammadiyah Karangkajen showed that some students struggled to recognize their feelings, strengths, and weaknesses, and understand the impact of their behavior on others. This study examined the effectiveness of this technique in improving students’ self-awareness. Using a quantitative pre-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design, 101 seventh-grade students with low self-awareness scores were selected through purposive sampling. The Self-Awareness Scale was administered before and after the intervention, and data were analyzed using SPSS with normality testing and paired sample t-tests. Results indicated a significant increase in self-awareness, demonstrating the technique’s effectiveness in supporting students’ emotional and social development..
