Abstract

The habit of chewing betel nut has a long history of use. Betel nut are widely used among various communities and in several countries across the world. In Indonesia, betel-quid chewing is socially accepted habit that is integrated into both cultural (ceremonial situations) and routine aspects of daily life. Many people chew betel nut for the energy boost it produces. It may also result in feelings of euphoria and well-being. However, most of betel chewers don’t know that there is a relationship between betel nut and various oral lesion in the mouth. Betel nut chewing is implicated in oral submucous fibrosis (OSF) and its use along with tobacco can cause leukoplakia, both of which are potentially malignant in the oral cavity. Public health programs regarding the harmful effects of betel nuts, coupled with increased awareness by healthcare professionals of the signs and symptoms of this disease, can limit its prevalence significantly. Puskesmas Tiga Panah, as one of the primary health centre in Karo regency has potential role to empower Posyandu cadres in approaching people especially the chewers to educating them about the health risks of betel nut use, therefore, the culturally habit of betel chewing would be change into healthy behavior of chewing.

Abstract

The Sweembath Bahapal baths were built in 1930 by the Dutch government by employing plantation workers. This bathhouse was used as a place of entertainment by the Dutch. Currently, the management of the Sweembath tourism area has been handed over to the local community as the manager of village tourism. The preliminary survey shows the need for further development so that it is expected to improve the welfare of rural communities. Some of the problems that arise are related to the availability of infrastructure and facilities, as well as lack of promotion, which are inhibiting factors for the development of this tourism potential. Abstract

Fashion as a part of the creative economy today can not only be worked on by people who live in urban areas, but also people who live in villages, especially with the distribution and growth of information technology in the country. People who live in the village do not always have to be farmers or workers in the agrarian sector, but must also have job options that can be a lifestyle to continue to show their existence even though from the village, especially young people who choose to stay in the village. Through this service, we provide screen printing and digital printing training, and provide all the information about the potential and opportunities of this kind of business to the young people in Pintupohan Village, Pintupohan Meranti District, Toba Samosir Regency. By understanding the digital printing technique, it is hoped that it will be able to facilitate printing efforts in larger quantities, and of course provide better economic benefits as well. We also involve speakers and business actors who have been successful in this screen printing business so that participants can face-to-face with business actors and gain more in-depth experience and training. In the future, further dedication is needed which will be focused on a better marketing strategy to continue to support this service activity which is sustainable and effective.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology has resulted in significant changes to the loan process, whichhas certainly made it easier for people who need to take loans so that they no longer need to go to banks or other financial service institutions. However, online loans can also cause problems if they are not well understood. In order to understand Peer to Peer Lending (onlineloans) in Indonesia,we need to refer to Financial Services Authority Regulation No.11/POJK.In this regulation, peer to peer lending (online loans) is defined as an act of providinglending and borrowing services directly between lenders and information technology-based loan recipients. As of August 14th, 2020, there are 157 fintech companies already registered and licensed in the Financial Services Authority (OJK). OJK urges the public to use registered and licensed fintech lending services. To increase public awareness and knowledge in peer to peer lending (online loans), we conducted a socialization in the form of counseling to peoplein Sunggal Village, Medan Sunggal. The method used in this socialization is a focus discussion, starting with a lecture session then continued with a Q&A session among participants. The lecture session was conducted in order to deliver important learning materials for the participant to know and understand. Meanwhile, the Q&A session was conducted in order to complete unclear material and help to solve the problems related to Online Peer to Peer Lending. After participating in this socialization, the public can identify trusted online loan providers, which are providers registered with the Financial Services Authority (OJK). This means people can be spared from untrusted online loan providers and can report them to OJK when they found unregistered providers with bad intentions.
