The number of narcotics abuse cases in Indonesia is increasing every year, so that it has become a national issue. The victims of narcotics abuse are just not spread in urban areas, yet the village areas are not excluded from the spread. Narcotics circulation also does not regard age, social level, and even gender. It is not seldom that the main target of narcotics circulation is the young generations; this fact indeed becomes a concern for every element in Indonesia, considering young generations are the pole of hope of a nation. The village is a strategic area for the smuggling and circulation of narcotics abuse. To overcome the circulation and abuse of narcotics, therefore anticipation through policy and prevention strategy by legislating a legal rule according to a local government's authority. The lack of knowledge in formulating policy through legislation as a legal rule for preventing narcotics circulation and abuse constitutes this counsel to Dagang Kerawan Village people. By providing legal counselling about narcotics abuse prevention through village regulation legislation, it is hoped to prevent, reduce, and eradicate narcotics abuse and circulation, especially in villages.

The mangrove forests that stretch along the coast of the Nias islands have great potential to improve the economy of the surrounding communities. One of the largest and most extensive mangrove areas is in Ba'a bay, located in Sisarahili bay, Siabang village, Sawo District, North Nias Regency. Mangrove forest turns out to be a natural resource and tourism potential that is crowded with visitors, supported by its existence in a wide stretch of coastline. However, the development of tourism potential still needs to be done to further increase the arrival of both domestic and foreign tourists. Several things have been done to support increased publication and promotion by increasing the human resources of tourism awareness groups through training and workshops, improving facilities and infrastructure, transportation and accommodation and also the application of information technology media to maximize publication and promotion, so that visitors are not only local people but also from outside the region. The use of page-based information technology and social media as media is implemented to support publication and promotion in accordance with the results of a survey conducted by the community service team for visitors who come. As many as 65% of visitors get information about mangrove tourism in Teluk ba'a from printed social media and 15% from websites / pages, while 20% get information from friends, online newspapers and communities around the mangrove tourism environment.

Referring to Ministerial Regulation of PAN-RB No. 16 of 2009 on Teacher Functional Status and Credit Score, it is clearly mentioned that one of the key components to apply teacher promotion is scientific writing (KTI). However, in fact, it was found that many teachers were independently constrained, especially in Sibolga City. As a result, the chance to get a higher rank and to be placed would be hampered. In addition, even some teachers are caught up in taking shortcuts by using the third part services to prepare their scientific writing, which of course, are not acceptable in publication ethics and academic values. In line with the results of preliminary observations made by the team, it was noticed that the teachers writing ability can be improved by providing them writing coaching class, including explanations and even training materials that need to be used in scientific writing. This writing coaching class is intended to provide teachers an opportunity to develop their skills, especially skill to write down scientific papers. Writing coaching class will be done by encouraging teachers to compose their ideas, formulating their problems, obtaining references sources, providing consultation rooms, implementing ethics and scientific publishing regulation, and selecting places where scientific papers will be published.

Cardiac arrest remains a prominent public health problem and cause of death globally. Despite there is no national data of Indonesia available currently, around 350,000 people in the United States and Canada experienced an arrest every year, and half of them were dead. The community knowledge and awareness about basic life support, particularly among mothers, is still low. Therefore, they cannot contribute effectively in providing first-aid to reduce the mortality. To improve this situation, we need an education and training program about basic life support for the PKK mothers and Posyandu cadres in West Medan to reduce the mortality rate of cardiac arrest in Indonesia. The activity was conducted in several stages, from basic data collection, lectures, basic life support practical training, evaluation and guidebooks handover. It was attended by 26 people, 15 women (57.7%) and 11 men (42.3%), with a mean age of 39 years old. No significant change was found in the level of knowledge and behavior before and after the activity (Z-score: 0,001; p= 1,000).

This activity was conducted in July and November 2020. Partners of this activity are a freshwater fish farmer community located on Jalan Gatot Subroto no. LK 336 IV, Sukamaju, Â Binjai Barat Distirct, Binjai, Sumatera Utara. The main problems faced by partners are 1) Farmers have difficulty in providing fish feed in the form of worms 2) The price of worms continues to increase, so it is difficult for breeders to provide good nutrition 3) Community do not yet know what it flies BSF (Black Soldier Fly) 4) The community does not yet know how to cultivate BSF 5) The community does not know that BSF Maggot is a high protein feed. The purpose of implementing this activity is 1) so that farmers get a replacement feed worm 2) Farmers can get fish feed with good nutrient and reasonably priced 3) BSF Maggot cultivation training, so farmers know 4) as a source of increasing income for freshwater fish farmers. The output target to be achieved from this activity program is that farmers can cultivate and use BSF as freshwater fish feed. Output details of the program produced include 1) training and assistance services for BSF Maggot cultivation 2) Video Activities 3) Scientific articles about mentoring cultivating devotion Maggot BSF. BSF extension and cultivation training activities have been carried out well, and have resulted in video activities on YouTube and also publications in online mass media. The conclusion of this activity partners know the advantages of BSF and can cultivate BSF properly.

Utilization of information technology is a very important requirement for every component of society. Easy, fast and accurate data and information access can optimize routine daily work. Mawaridussalam Islamic boarding school Batang Kuis as an Islamic education institution that plays a role in shaping the character and personality of the next generation of the nation is expected to be able to optimally manage finances and provide good service to the academics of the Islamic boarding school. Until now, financial management is still done manually using bookkeeping, there is no specific financial application used in Islamic boarding school financial management, so it is difficult and slow in recording, processing, controlling and reporting financial activities. Based on these problems, an application is needed that can be used by the treasurer and board of boarding school leaders for financial management systematically. The method applied is the User Centered Design approach and the target that was successfully achieved is the availability of web-based financial management applications that are used properly to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of financial management in Islamic boarding schools.

The outbreak of the corona virus has forced orphanage children to gather at home to carry out learning and playing activities. The activity of gathering in one house can cause a high risk of Covid-19 transmission. The implementation of the community service program carried out by lecturers from the Food Science and Technology Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara is a training for making red ginger wedang at LKSA Anak Gembira, Medan Tuntungan, Medan. Red ginger wedang is a drink that is healthy and refreshing for the body, where the aim of this training is that partners can practice it and consume it to maintain their immune system at LKSA Anak Gembira in preventing Covid-19. The training activity for making red ginger drink was attended by 24 people consisting of 2 orphanage owners and 22 orphanage children. After that, the consumption of red ginger was carried out and questionnaires were administered to measure the level of understanding of the benefits and preferences of the respondents towards red ginger after the training was held. The results of the questionnaire show that 93% respondents understand the benefits of red ginger for health and 87% like red ginger wedang.

The archiving process uses a certain system in the preparation, maintenance of records so that they can be recovered quickly and precisely and easily for destruction of archives based on certain criteria. The archive itself has enormous benefits for educational organizations, because the archive is information on activities carried out by schools. Archives in schools need to be well managed, so that archives can be used effectively and efficiently and have good accessibility. The arrangement of archives usually has several problems including, documents cannot be recovered because they are lost, the number of documents is always increasing every day, the storage area for documents is too small compared to the number of documents, so the space is insufficient, not to mention the lack of staff capacity, and the system. The storage is not in accordance with the principles of archiving. For this reason, this service is aimed at providing knowledge and skills in arranging archives in accordance with RI archiving principles, namely using an alphanumeric archive storage system, through training followed by practice and evaluation. Adequate archive facilities and infrastructure are needed in schools for this training. After the dedication was carried out, teachers and administrative staff experienced an increase in knowledge and skills in compiling personal archives and schools got the facilities and infrastructure that supported archiving. Furthermore, an evaluation of the application of archiving in schools is carried out in order to determine its effectiveness in school management.

The online learning system is still having problems. As a result of the observations of the USU team, several obstacles were felt not only by the teachers at MIN 2 Serdang Bedagai but also by students and parents. The problems that occur are quite diverse. Starting from limited signal, limited devices suitable for online learning, to the lack of technological knowledge of teachers and students on online applications that support the teaching and learning process. There are various online applications available today, such as Google Classroom, Zoom, Google Meet, Youtube, and others. These various online applications play an important role in helping students and teachers in the distance learning process. The USU team conducted training using the online application Google Classroom and Zoom. Google Classroom and Zoom were chosen because they are easier for the teacher to implement, besides that the two online applications facilitate coordination and communication between teachers and students, so that the material being taught can be discussed more easily, more freely and can be updated more quickly. In this community service, Online Learning training was conducted for the Elementary School / Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Level with Various Online Applications at MIN 2 Serdang Bedagai. This community service has reached the implementation stage of training which begins with the initial survey stage, provision of training modules and also training. The next stage is monitoring and evaluation and feedback.Â

The habit of chewing betel nut has a long history of use. Betel nut are widely used among various communities and in several countries across the world. In Indonesia, betel-quid chewing is socially accepted habit that is integrated into both cultural (ceremonial situations) and routine aspects of daily life. Many people chew betel nut for the energy boost it produces. It may also result in feelings of euphoria and well-being. However, most of betel chewers donâ€™t know that there is a relationship between betel nut and various oral lesion in the mouth. Betel nut chewing is implicated in oral submucous fibrosis (OSF) and its use along with tobacco can cause leukoplakia, both of which are potentially malignant in the oral cavity. Public health programs regarding the harmful effects of betel nuts, coupled with increased awareness by healthcare professionals of the signs and symptoms of this disease, can limit its prevalence significantly. Puskesmas Tiga Panah, as one of the primary health centre in Karo regency has potential role to empower Posyandu cadres in approaching people especially the chewers to educating them about the health risks of betel nut use, therefore, the culturally habit of betel chewing would be change into healthy behavior of chewing.
