Abstract

Since the outbreak of COVID-19, the business income of women members of the PKK group in Rambung Barat Village has decreased because the purchasing power of the surrounding community has decreased. Marketing of business products is only done locally. These problems require a strategy so that products can be marketed widely by utilizing digital marketing. The women members of the PKK group already have solutive and innovative products but if the product photos presented are less attractive then consumers will not be interested. In online marketing, consumers only see photos of the products offered. Creating attractive product photos and being able to convey the message of the product is expensive if it has to be done by a professional. This activity aims to increase knowledge and expertise in taking product photos that are carried out independently. So that it can compete and attract potential consumers to make purchases. The method used is by conducting training and mentoring. Participants filled out the pretest and post test to see the extent of the knowledge gained. The results of the activity show that this activity has a positive impact. There is increasing knowledge about using smartphone applications to make good and attractive product photos. PKK members have been able to make product photos that can be used in digital marketing. So that later the product is increasingly known to the wider community and the existing products are increasingly sold in the market.

Abstract

Rural communities often pay less attention to cow dung waste and its handling, as well as environmental preservation and environmental health. For rural communities, cow dung waste is considered of no value and is often underestimated. In the cattle farmer community, they almost do not care about their cow dung waste and they usually make it into compost for plant biological fertilizer. In fact, there are other alternatives that can be used as alternatives to energy and can also be economically valuable from materials that are underestimated by the community. Apparently, cow dung waste has a gas that can be reactivated when mixed with the right ingredients. Besides having an unpleasant smell, cow dung waste can also pollute the environment. Therefore, it is a challenge to be able to process cow dung waste into useful materials and make rural communities more creative, productive, and independent. In addition, it is hoped that the processing of cow dung waste can be used as a solution in an effort to make the village environment more beautiful and healthier. The processing of cow dung waste is considered important and useful, so the community service team provided information about making biochar from cow dung waste which can be used as an alternative energy substitute for charcoal. In addition, the community service team also taught the cattle farmer community about the importance of maintaining a clean environment and the dangers caused by cow dung waste.

Abstract

Since the first outbreak of Covid-19 disease in March 2020 until now, the pandemic has been occuring for almost two years and the number of cases are still increasing without signs of ending while the number of cases has almost reached four million cases (3,950,304 cases as of 19 August 2021). While transmission of Covid-19 is still increasing in Indonesia, reasons apart from the lack of implementation of health protocols also causes increase in number of cases, such as community activities that cause overcrowding, the forced retrieval of Covid-19 corpses from hospitals and the handling of corpses and mistakes in burial process is suspected to be one of the factors in the transmission of Covid-19 in the community that cannot be controlled. In order to anticipate a spike in cases of deaths due to COVID-19 and the possibility of dying at home or dying outside the hospital, training on the management of relocation and burial of COVID-19 bodies will be carried out in collaboration with the Medan city government. The target groups for the training on the management of curing and burial of COVID-19 bodies are BABINSA, BHABINKAMTIBMAS, sub-district employees and PUSKESMAS employees in the city of Medan with an estimated number of participants around 167 people divided into three sessions starting from August 24, 2021 to August 26, 2021. The objectives of this community service program are (1) to improve the skills of health care officers throughout the city of Medan in managing the handling of COVID-19 corpses. (2) improve the skills of health care officers throughout the city of Medan in the management of COVID-19 funerals. (3) anticipating the surge in deaths of COVID-19 cases so that they can still be handled according to the protocol for handling COVID-19 bodies. The method of carrying out the activity is the lecture and question and answer method which is then followed by a technical workshop / Management of Beginning and burial of COVID-19 bodies. Which will be held on 24-26 August 2021 at 14.00 WIB until finished.
