Abstract

Desa Pasar Sorkam is about 34 km from Sibolga City, and 45 km from the capital of Central Tapanuli Regency, Pandan. So far, Sorkam District has been divided into two regions, namely West Sorkam District. Pasar Sorkam Village consists of 5 hamlets and has been led by 13 previous Village Heads. The people of Pasar Sorkam Village come from various tribes and regions, namely Bataak, Java, Nias, and Padang. The majority of the people of Pasar Sorkam Village have a livelihood as fishermen who have been awarded and depend on the sea conditions that lie wide and only a small part work as farmers. The problems faced by farmers and fishermen in Pasar Sorkam village are that the utilization of fishermen's products is not optimal due to limitations regarding the use of technology such as digital marketing. So that the development of the handling of processed marine products is still running slowly and is still not in line with expectations. This activity was carried on August 8, 2022 with assistance and monitoring carried out until August 22, 2022 at SD Muhammadiyah 01 Medan with a total sample of 60 people. The results showed an increase before and after the activity, before the activity was carried out as many as 31 (51.7%) respondents were at a moderate level of knowledge, 37 (61.7%) positive attitudes and 32 (53.3%) good behavior respondents. After the activities were carried out, 47 (78.3%) respondents had high knowledge, 60 (100%) positive attitudes and 46 (76.7%) good behavior. Abstract

The hydrometeorological flood disaster in Indonesia is influenced by climate change and inappropriate land conversion. Mitigation is generally carried out in the context of reducing losses due to the possibility of a disaster, be it loss of life and/or loss of property that will affect human life and activities. This Community Service activity was carried out in the Tanjung Rejo Village, which is located on Jalan Abadi Gang Balai Desa No. 13-B Medan District. The distance from the University of North Sumatra to Tanjung Rejo Village is 3.7 Km via Jl. Dr. Mansyur (about 11 minutes). Tanjung Rejo Sub-district is a sub-district located on lowland with an altitude of 24-37 meters above sea level and an average temperature of around 24°C to 32°C with an average Rainfall of 1,800-2,000 mm/year. In order to define an appropriate and accurate mitigation plan or strategy, it is necessary to carry out a risk assessment. Disaster mitigation activities should be routine and sustainable activities. This means that mitigation activities should have been carried out in the long period prior to disaster activities, which often come sooner than expected, and even have greater intensity than originally thought.
