<![CDATA[Poverty has been a major problem for millennial women in North Sumatra and becoming micro-entrepreneurs appears to be an effective solution to overcome it. This study aims to determine the impact of business strategy and human resource management on the competitiveness of small businesses owned by millennial women in Medan City. Respondents in this study were a list of women who owned and ran businesses located in the city of Medan. In total, 77 respondents were involved in this study by considering the aspects of age, last education, length of business, business capital, source of fund, and business sector. Based on the results of questionnaire data processing which was conducted by applying data quality test, descriptive statistical analysis, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis, as well as F and t-test, the study shows that the variables of both business strategy and human resource management simultaneously have certain impacts on the competitiveness of small businesses owned by millennial women in Medan City. Partially, the human resource management variable shows a significant impact while the business strategy variable does not show a significant impact on the subject matter.]]>

<![CDATA[The performance of executing nurses is one of the important factors in materializing the quality of nursing service at a hospital. Every hospital has problem with the performance of nurses especial those serving in the in-patient wards, and this problem is also experienced by Martha Friska Hospital Brayan Medan. The factors of organizational culture and nursing care standard application are still suspected to have influenced the performance of the nurses. The purpose of this explanatory survey study was to analyze the influence of organizational culture and nursing care standard application on the performance of the nurses serving in the in-patient wards of Martha Friska Hospital Brayan Medan. The population of this study was 125 nurses serving in the in-patient wards at Martha Friska Hospital Brayan Medan and 56 of them were selected to be the samples for this study. The primary data for this study were obtained through observation and questionnaire distribution and secondary data obtained through studying the documents available at Martha Friska Hospital Brayan Medan. The data obtained were analyzed through multiple linear regression tests at level of confidence 95%. The result of this study showed that the performance of the nurses serving in the in-patient wards at Martha Friska Hospital Brayan Medan was 51.8% and this belonged to inadequate category. The result of multiple linear regression tests showed that the variables of nurses’ involvement (p = 048), nurses’ adjustment (p = 0.004), nurses’ consistency (p = 0.006), mission of organization (p = 0.010), and the application of nursing care standard (p = 0.002) had influence on the performance of nurses in the in-patient wards at Martha Friska Hospital Brayan Medan. The management of Martha Friska Hospital Brayan Medan is suggested (1) Establishing the nursing care standards, directive service, job description and consistent guidance in health service provision,(2) Establishing the administration staff for every nurse station which job description is to calculate the cost of clients care in ward (3) Classification the patient-wards based on patient diagnosis (4) the nurses should improve their individual performance through the comprehensive application of nursing care standard referring to the need of clients.]]>

<![CDATA[This study was to figure out the effect of responsiveness to change, creativity, and ability to accept change on the competitive advantage of women’s small-scale businesses in the COVID-19 period in the coastal area of Medan. Respondents were women entrepreneurs in the coastal area of Medan with a total of 71 respondents. According to the data processing result on a questionnaire using multiple linear regression analysis, F-test, and also t-test, the study proved that variables of responsive to change, creativity, and ability to accept change simultaneously and significantly affected the competitive advantage for women’s small-scale business in the coastal area of Medan. Creativity significantly and partially affected the competitive advantage of women's small-scale businesses in the coastal area of Medan. Meanwhile, being responsive to change and the ability to accept change did not significantly affect the competitive advantage of women's small-scale businesses in the coastal area of Medan.]]>

<![CDATA[Entrepreneurs assemble and unite all the necessary resources i.e. money, people, business models, strategies and the ability to take risks to turn new inventions into a workable business. A business refers to a marketing mix consisting of product, price, place and promotion. As a marketing mix, promotion has several challenges to the effectiveness and efficiency of the marketing message to be conveyed. For this reason, the concept of integrated marketing communication emerged which combines several marketing communication tactics into an integrated manner to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of marketing messages. Knowledge, understanding and implementation of integrated marketing communications will help an entrepreneur to help market his brand. This paper aims to conduct a theoretical study between entrepreneurship and integrated marketing communication as a method of marketing promotion. <![CDATA[Potential tourism objects in an area, especially Samosir Regency, are very diverse, including natural beauty, history, culture that has its own charm. The tourism sector is one of the strategic sectors and the mainstay in Samosir Regency as a locomotive driving the improvement of the community's economy which contributes to the region's original income (PAD). The development of tourism objects in Samosir Regency is adjusted to the potentials of each community-based tourism object. The development of this tourism object is also stipulated by the Decree of the Samosir Regent Number 474 of 2017 concerning the Determination of Criteria and Classification of Tourism Objects in Samosir Regency which is carried out through the pattern of tourism development in ways or methods of work in optimizing the potential possessed. Criteria for tourism objects that have been regulated in tourism development policies can be used as a measure to develop tourism objects in Samosir Regency.]]>

<![CDATA[Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan pemberdayaan ekonomi perempuan dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan keluarga dengan metode pelatihan dan pendampingan pemasaran digital kepada para ibu-ibu rumah tangga yang tergabung dalam Komunitas Wanita Pesisir Utara Kota Medan. Data yang digunakan diperoleh dengan cara pembentukan Focuss Group Discussion (FGD), pembentukan grup Whats App dan sosialisasi pelatihan. Peserta pelatihan pengabdian ini merupakan anggota dari Komunitas Wanita Pesisir Utara Kota Medan yang berjumlah sebanyak 25 orang. Berdasarkan hasil sosialisasi yang dihadiri oleh 25 orang ibu rumah tangga yang tergabung kedalam Komunitas Wanita Pesisir Utara Kota Medan, sebagian dari peserta merupakan pelaku usaha berbasis makanan olahan hasil laut atau ikan asin. Meskipun belum semuanya melakukan pemasaran digital dengan baik, namun antusiasme ibu rumah tangga dalam mengembangkan usahanya dan memperdalam bisnis online patut dibanggakan. Dengan dilakukannya pelatihan terkait pemasaran digital, serta monitoring, evaluasi, dan pendampingan kepada mitra melalui Whats App group, diketahui ternyata hampir semua ibu pengusaha kecil belum pernah melakukan pemasaran secara digital dan setelah mengikuti pelatihan dan pendampingan maka ada lima pengusaha yang dapat memasarkan produknya secara digital di Kecamatan Medan Belawan dan sudah mendapatkan izin IBM.Kata Kunci: Kesejahteraan Keluarga, Pemasaran Digital, Pemberdayaan Ekonomi]]>

<![CDATA[Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mendirikan forum anak desa sebagai pemanfaatan waktu luang untuk kegiatan positif bagi anak-anak di Desa Nelayan Seberang Kecamatan Medan Belawan yang diharapkan akan mengurangi bahkan menghapuskan kegiatan anak yang tidak bermanfaat. Data yang digunakan diperoleh dengan cara membuat pelatihan dibidang olahragadayung dengan peserta berjumlah sebanyak 17 anak yang tergabung kedalam pengurus Forum Anak Desa. Berdasarkan hasil kegiatan pelatihan terhadap anak-anak Desa Nelayan Seberang Kecamatan Medan Belawan, pemanfaatan waktu luang anak diisi dengan kegiatan olahraga, budaya dan seni terutama budaya seni lokal sesuai dengan bakat dan minat anak. Kegiatan ini berjalan dengan baik dan berkesinambungan dibawah kepengurusan forum anak desa yang telah terbentuk. Seperti diketahui forum anak adalah wadah anak untuk berdiskusi, bagaimana mengeluarkan pendapat sehingga diharapkan nantinya forum anak desa dapat berpartisipasi dalam musrenbang desa. <![CDATA[Housewives who are members of the women's community can minimize the impact of the Corona 19 Virus by empowering women through training and mentoring activities to make changes in lifestyle or lifestyle so that they become housewives who understand what it means about working and doing business from home, as well as maintaining distance, living healthy and communicate online. This activity also introduces the use of yardland to optimize housewives as human resources in empowering family-based housewives. Housewives, if trained and accompanied, can be at the forefront of maintaining and providing understanding for the family. This can be done through training and mentoring for housewives who are members of the 9 independent women's community groups in Bandar Labuhan Village, Tanjung Morawa District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra who will become cadres for members. other communities or interested housewives. Then from the students, 2 people were chosen to be trained to be motivators.]]>

<![CDATA[This study investigates the impact of compensation, occupational safety, and health on the productivity of online motorcycle taxi drivers in Medan City, utilizing a quantitative methodology. The research, encompassing 99 respondents from Go-Jek, Grab, and Maxim, employs multiple regression analysis, revealing a significant positive impact of compentations and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) on driver productivity across all platforms. The findings underscore that enhancing compensation and prioritizing safety and health are effective strategies for increasing productivity. The study suggests companies offering online motorcycle taxi services should develop policies to enhance the welfare and performance of drivers. Acknowledging the study's limitations, future research should consider additional factors for a comprehensive understanding. . JEL Classification: L21, L23, L25]]>

<![CDATA[Penyandang disabilitas masih banyak yang tidak dapat memiliki akses atau kesempatan seperti masyarakat non-disabilitas lainnya, salah satunya akses dalam memperoleh pekerjaan. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran pemerintah dalam mengupayakan ketersediaan akses lapangan pekerjaan bagi penyandang disabilitas di Kota Medan serta untuk melihat apa saja yang menjadi faktor penghambat tersedianya lapangan pekerjaan bagi penyandang disabilitas baik dari sektor pemerintah maupun swasta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, FGD, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan kondisi tersebut, masih terdapat permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh para disabilitas untuk mendapatkan pekerjaan. Diperlukan pemberdayaan masyarakat penyandang disabilitas guna meningkatkan skill dan kemampuan para disabilitas dengan tujuan dapat mencari pekerjaaan sesuai dengan keahlian para disabilitas, sangat dibutuhkan data berdasarkan jenis kedisabilitasan serta keahlian para disabilitas. Disamping itu perlu sosialisasi tentang kebijakan/ program dari Pererintah Kota Medan untuk pencari kerja disabilitas. There are still many people with disabilities who do not have access or opportunities like other non-disabled people, one of them is access to employment. The study aims to analyze the role of the government in ensuring the availability of access to employment for people with disabilities in Medan City and to see what factors hinder the availability of employment for people with disabilities, both from the government and private sectors. This research uses qualitative research methods with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques were carried out using interviews, FGD, observation and documentation. Based on these conditions, there are still problems faced by people with disabilities in getting work. It is necessary to empower people with disabilities to improve the skills and abilities of people with disabilities with the aim of being able to find work according to the skills of people with disabilities. Data is really needed based on the type of disability and the skills of people with disabilities. Apart from that, there is a need to socialize policies/programs from the Medan City Government for job seekers with disabilities.]]>
