Abstract

Rumah Quran Madani is located on Jalan Tanjung Bubuk, Bukit Baru, Ilir Barat 1, Palembang, in a densely populated area with many children. Although it has great potential as a Tahfidz Qur'an House, currently it only has 9 students, due to the lack of information and supporting media as well as outdated technology. To overcome this problem, we built a digital platform in the form of a website that is designed with an attractive and easy-to-use appearance. This website will display the full profile Rumah Qur'an Madani and detailed information on its programs, as well as facilitating the online registration process. In addition, this website will help in administrative management, by storing data and files neatly and structured, reducing manual record-keeping, and minimizing the risk of data loss. The attendance process will also be more efficient with the QR Code scanning feature, which stores attendance data directly in an online database, ensuring accurate and easily accessible information.

Binge-watching is an activity of watching between two and six episodes of a TV show in one sitting. This activity is mostly carried out by students and teenager. At FKM USU, many students binge-watch, and most of them do it because they want to overcome stress. Binge-watching that is done incorrectly will increase a person's risk of suffer various non-communicable diseases due to reduced activity and snacking while binge-watching. This activity can also increase a person's risk of suffering from Text Neck Syndrome and Computer Vision Syndrome because when someone binge-watches they tend to watch with the wrong posture and are reluctant to stop staring at the screen of an electronic device for hours. Programs or activities must be held within FKM USU to prevent students from suffering from Computer Vision Syndrome and Text Neck Syndrome due to binge-watching. This community service activity was carried out at FKM USU, by giving Eye and Neck Relaxation Training Using the 20-20-20 Rule to 27 participants with lecture and demonstration methods. Participants were also given pre-tests and post-tests and also carried out simulations to assess participants' understanding. Based on the pre-test and post-test results, of the 27 participants, only 19 (70.37%) increased their knowledge. Based on the simulation results, all participants got a score of 100, it can be concluded that the eye and neck relaxation training using the 20-20-20 rule that has been implemented can increase students’ knowledge and skills about the eyes and neck relaxation training using the 20-20-20 rule.

Abstract

Robusta coffee is one of the superior agricultural varieties in Salak District, Pakpak Bharat Regency because it has a strong aroma and a more bitter taste. Partner of one of the robusta coffee farmers in Salak District still use traditional tools to peel the coffee cherries they cultivate. This is an obstacle in the post-harvest processing of coffee. This coffee fruit peeling tool requires a lot of manpower, a long time, and a large percentage of unpeeled coffee cherries. Therefore, the community service team helped overcome the partner's problem with the aim of implementing post-harvest technology in coffee bean production. The method used was the provision of pulper and huller machines and practical training in using these machines in the application of post-harvest coffee processing. The results obtained were that almost 100% of the coffee fruit skin and coffee horn skin were peeled using the pulper and huller machines. The percentage of coffee beans produced by the pulper machine is 64-74% of wet coffee cherries and the percentage of dry coffee beans without horn skin produced by the huller machine is 38,18-42,19% of peeled coffee beans with pulper machine.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to empower members of the 015-016 Scout Group at SMP Swasta Dolok Ilir, Indonesia, through digital screen-printing training to foster creative entrepreneurship. The program was implemented using a participatory and experiential learning approach, integrating digital graphic design training, hands-on practice with Direct-to-Film (DTF) screen-printing technology, product production, and basic entrepreneurial orientation. Training activities were supported by international collaboration with lecturers from Malaysia as part of strengthening Indonesia–Malaysia cooperation in education and community engagement. The results showed a clear improvement in participants’ digital skills, creativity, and practical production abilities. Most participants were able to independently design and produce screen-printed products with acceptable quality standards. The provision of modern screen-printing equipment and the establishment of a Creative Entrepreneurial Corner within the school further supported program sustainability by enabling continuous practice and school-based entrepreneurial activities. Furthermore, participants learned how to package and brand their products while exploring e-commerce platforms to access broader markets. The establishment of a school-based Creative Entrepreneurial Corner under the Scout Group further strengthened program continuity, serving as a platform for ongoing practice and business development. Overall, this initiative demonstrates that integrating digital skills with entrepreneurial training can significantly enhance the self-reliance, creativity, and economic potential of rural youth, offering a replicable model for community development in similar contexts.
