Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the learning outcomes of integer arithmetic using bead media among fourth-grade students at MI Miftahul Huda Gempol Kurung Menganti-Gresik. This study is classified as Classroom Action Research (CAR), with 26 fourth-grade students as the subjects. Data collection techniques used in this research include tests and observations. The collected data were analyzed qualitatively for observational data and quantitatively for test data, and the research was conducted over two cycles. Based on the research results, it was found that in the pre-cycle, cycle I, and cycle II, the use of bead media improved the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students on the topics of addition and subtraction of integers. The teacher's activity level increased from 72% in cycle I to 85.33% in cycle II. The percentage of student activity rose from 73.33% in cycle I to 83.33% in cycle II. Additionally, student learning outcomes improved from 42.30% in the pre-cycle to 69.23% in cycle I, and further increased to 96.15% in cycle II.

Abstract

Science learning, especially heat transfer material in elementary schools, still applies conventional learning. This research aims to develop interactive multimedia assisted by iSpring as a learning medium to improve the cognitive learning outcomes of class V students on heat transfer material. The research sample consisted of fifth grade students at SDN 6 Ngunut selected using non-random sampling through a purposive sampling technique. This type of research is development (Research and Development) while the method used is the Borg and Gall model. The research was carried out at SDN 6 Ngunut involving 26 students. Data was collected through pre-test and post-test to measure improvements in learning outcomes. The results show that the validity of interactive multimedia as a result of the assessment by material experts is 78.75% in the valid category, the assessment by media experts is 75% in the valid category, and the assessment by educational practitioners is 95% in the very valid category. The effectiveness test results of this research show that interactive multimedia assisted by Ispring can significantly improve students' cognitive learning outcomes, as indicated by an increase in the average test score from pre-test to post-test. The average obtained from the pre-test was 59.84 and the post-test obtained an average score of 77.69. This shows an increase in value. This research is expected to contribute to implementing educational technology to improve the quality of learning in elementary schools

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out whether there is a comparison of the increase in critical thinking skills and student engagement between students who study using the teaching at the right level (TARL) approach and students who study using the conventional approach. The approach used in this research is mixed method. Based on the results of descriptive data analysis for the experimental class, the mean score for the students' pretest = 53.46 and posttest = 83.46. while in the control class the results were the student's average pretest score = 51.53 and the posttest = 75.36. This means that there is a difference in the increase in students' critical thinking abilities before and after being given learning using the TaRL approach. Meanwhile, the results of student involvement in the experimental class are that students can actively participate in class discussions, students can ask questions to obtain further information, students can work independently, students can solve problems flexibly, and students want to get satisfactory grades. Meanwhile, in the control class, the indicators achieved are fewer, namely students can ask questions to get further information, students can get to know teachers at school, students can work independently, so it can be concluded that there is a significant difference in increasing critical thinking skills and student involvement between students who study with the TARL approach and students who study with the conventional approach.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of student responses based on SOLO Taxonomy in solving math problems in terms of gender perspective at SDN Sutojayan 2 Blitar Regency. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach to obtain information from participants about the responses given. The subjects in this study were 6 female students and 6 male students in grade V, grade V math teacher, and principal. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation, tests, interviews and documentation. This study used tests to categorize students in five levels of SOLO taxonomy namely prestructural, unistructural, multistructural, relational, and extended abstract levels. The result of this study is that female students have a higher level of understanding, accuracy, and perseverance than male students so that it affects the responses given. Thus the results of the study can be concluded that female students are at a higher level than male students, namely at the relational level and men are at the multistructural level.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to develop interactive PowerPoint learning media on class 4 cultural diversity material, making it easier for teachers to deal with students who lack focus in learning. This research method uses development research with the ADDIE development model. The DDIE development design consists of 5 stages, namely: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. However, this research was only carried out in three stages, namely 1) the analysis stage consisting of analysis of educators, students and learning materials; 2) the design stage, namely the preparation of interactive PowerPoint learning media using the PowerPoint application; 3) development stage, namely producing learning media that has been designed at the design stage; 4) implementation stage, namely the trial stage carried out on students; 5) evaluation stage, namely the stage where revisions are made after receiving suggestions, comments and input from teachers, students and validators. Apart from production media, researchers also prepared research instruments, namely validation sheets. The validation sheet was filled in by 6 expert validators consisting of 2 media expert validators, 2 language expert validators, and 2 material expert validators. The results of this research show that interactive PowerPoint learning media meets the criteria for being very valid, with an average score of 89.1% from validators. Abstract

This research aims to determine the factors inhibiting creative thinking in students in learning science and science in the independent curriculum for class IV SDN 022 Muara Langsat. The research method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach with data collection techniques namely interviews, observation, questionnaires and documentation. The subjects of this research were class IV students consisting of 25 students and 1 homeroom teacher, and data collection instruments in the form of interview guidelines, observation guidelines, questionnaires, and documentation review. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman Model which consists of data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The results of the research questionnaire showed that there was 21,8% reaching level 4 (very creative), 31,4% reaching level 3 (creative), 36,6% reaching level 2 (quite creative), and 10,2% reaching level 1 (less creative).

Abstract

The influence of the Outdoor Learning method on students' interest in learning science subjects in grade III of SD 023 Pandau Jaya. The formulation of the problem in this study "Seeing that there is an influence of Outdoor Learning on students' interest in learning science subjects in grade III of SD 023 Pandau Jaya" So as to find the goal of knowing whether or not there is an influence of the Outdoor Learning method on learning interest. This study is a quantitative study with a pre-experimental design type. The population in this study were all grade III students totaling 33 students. One group Pretest and posttest design were used for sampling. This study used a t-test which obtained the results α = 0.05> sig 0.000 with a significance level of 5%. So the hypothesis is accepted, with the conclusion that there is an influence of the Outdoor Learning method on students' interest in learning science subjects in grade III of SD 023 Pandau Jaya.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the Influence of Student Self-Confidence and Learning Motivation on Science Learning Outcomes in Grade V Students. From the results of the pre-research, it is known that the learning motivation and self-confidence of Grade V students are still lacking. This can be seen when science learning takes place. This study uses a quantitative writing type. The method used is a survey method with a correlational approach. The data sources in this study are primary data (questionnaire results) and secondary (documentation). The research instrument used is a questionnaire that is tested through 2 tests, namely validity and reliability tests. While for the analysis of the data obtained, testing will also be carried out. Namely the normality test, homogeneity, linearity, multiple regression equations and hypothesis tests. The results and discussion of the findings can be concluded that: There is an influence of learning interest on the science learning outcomes of Grade V students.

Abstract

In the context of elementary school education, students' interest in science subjects is often less than optimal due to the perception of difficulty and the abstract nature of the material. This study aims to determine the relationship between the use of multimedia and students' interest in science education at the elementary school level. This study uses a quantitative approach method. The quantitative approach is also called a positivist approach because it is based on the philosophy of positivism. Research is conducted to compare the similarities and differences between two or more facts based on a certain framework of thought. to find out how one treatment with controlled conditions correlates with another. The data technique used in this study is the "product moment" correlation statistical analysis technique to analyze the relationship between the use of multimedia in the teaching and learning process in the field of science. Based on the results and discussion of the findings, it can be concluded that the use of multimedia in Natural Science learning in class V of SD Negeri 37 Pekanbaru has a significant positive influence on students' learning interest, so that it can increase the effectiveness of the learning process. This can be seen in the Fhiting value = 109398.203 with a significance level of 0.000 <0.05, then the regression model can be used to predict the participation variable or in other words there is an influence of the multimedia variable (X) on the learning interest variable (Y). Abstract

Mathematics learning is often considered difficult by students, so an effective approach is needed to improve students' critical thinking skills and learning motivation. This study aims to compare the effect of realistic mathematics learning approaches and scientific approaches on critical thinking skills and learning motivation of fifth grade students at Kebonsari 04 Elementary School, Jember Regency. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a treatment by levels design. The population of this study was fifth grade students consisting of two classes, VA and VB, with a total of 56 students selected through a simple random sampling technique. The instruments used in this study were critical thinking ability tests and learning motivation questionnaires. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive statistics, two-way ANAVA tests and Tukey's advanced tests. The results showed significant differences in the critical thinking skills of students who took realistic mathematics learning compared to the scientific approach, both in students with high and low learning motivation. The realistic mathematics approach was more effective in improving students' critical thinking skills, especially for those with high learning motivation. However, the scientific approach still made a positive contribution to developing students' scientific abilities. Keywords: realistic mathematics, learning motivation, scientific learning
