Abstract

Technology that is developing very rapidly is also felt in the world of education, which is called learning technology. The birth of learning technology is in line with the progressivism philosophy that education must always change with the times. This research aims to analyze learning technology from the perspective of progressivism philosophy. The research method used uses qualitative methods. From the results of the analysis, it was found that the philosophy of progressivism and learning technology are similar in terms of the direction of development and change in education. Learning technology is a product of progressivism philosophy. This is because the philosophy of progressivism holds that education must adapt dynamically to the progress of the times, while learning technology is the world of education's response to these changes. In general, learning technology based on the philosophy of progressivism was found to have a lot of suitability both in terms of curriculum, learning process, and users, namely students and teachers.

Abstract

Education plays a crucial role in instilling religious and national character values in line with the second principle of Pancasila: humanity that is just and civilized. Character education aims not only to transfer academic knowledge but also to shape students' attitudes and behaviors. However, phenomena such as violence, bullying, and brawls highlight a crisis in character that requires serious attention. Therefore, character education must be a priority and involve schools, parents, and the community. School leadership, particularly spiritual leadership, plays a strategic role in shaping students' character. Spiritual leadership involves applying spiritual values in decision-making and daily interactions, which can strengthen moral and ethical quality in schools. At SMK Muhammadiyah 7 Gondanglegi, spiritual activities like Morning Spiritual Greetings and group prayers help build character and discipline among students. At SMAK Yos Sudarso Batu, activities such as morning prayers and celebrating major Catholic holidays support students' spiritual development. This research explores how spiritual leadership at both schools motivates teachers and affects performance and character development. Using a qualitative approach with interviews, observations, and documentation studies involving principals, curriculum deputies, and teachers as participants, the research highlights the role of spiritual leadership in motivating and improving teacher performance. At SMAK Yos Sudarso, the new principal implements transformational leadership through open communication and regular training, creating a positive team dynamic. At SMK Muhammadiyah 7 Gondanglegi, despite leadership changes, the principal ensures that the school's vision is accepted through active communication and workshops, addressing challenges with support and recognition that motivate staff. Religious activities like morning prayers and celebrations strengthen spiritual commitment and work enthusiasm. Emotional support and altruistic culture improve teamwork and dedication. This research confirms that integrating spiritual values, effective communication, and emotional support is essential in creating a high-quality and productive work environment, enhancing staff motivation and performance, and supporting the school's vision and mission.

Abstract

Mawlid an-Nabi is an annual event held on the 12th of Rabi' al-Awwal to commemorate the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Many countries around the world organize Mawlid al-Nabi celebrations with their own cultural characteristics. This study aims to provide an overview of Mawlid al-Nabi celebrations in various countries from a cultural perspective. The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) framework was applied to facilitate the data screening process. Study objects were obtained from online databases such as JSTOR, Scopus, The Lens, Proquest, and Google Scholar using Boolean operators, and data analysis was conducted using cultural theories by Koentjoroningrat and Geert Hofstede. This study reviewed 16 studies from 16 different countries. The findings indicate that most countries celebrating Mawlid an-Nabi reflect aspects of large power distance and dominant collectivism. Additionally, all cultural elements of the societies contribute to the diversity of Mawlid an-Nabi celebrations. In terms of celebration rituals, there are two distinct approaches: inclusive and exclusive. These two methods are practiced in both majority and minority Muslim countries. Variations in interpretations and perspectives of Sharia law among Muslim communities result in differing views and controversies regarding the celebration of Mawlid an-Nabi. The widespread and varied celebrations of Mawlid an-Nabi in various countries highlight the cultural richness of the Muslim community, particularly as a tribute to the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), despite some Muslim communities opposing it due to differing viewpoints.

Abstract

Amtsal al-Qur'an is a very effective method in making it easier for students to understand the learning materials provided by educators. Amtsal is also very important for visualizing something that is still abstract so that it becomes something that looks real. The proverbs in the Koran are stated in various sentences, so deeper knowledge is needed to understand them. This type of research uses library research or library research. For data collection techniques, researchers used documentation techniques. The data analysis technique that researchers use is the content analysis technique. The results of this research show that the Qur'an focuses its education on humans, placing it in harmony with the elements of creation, namely body, mind and soul. Therefore, the educational materials presented almost always lead to the education of the human soul, mind and body itself. Therefore, the process of delivering material in learning activities will be more interesting and efficient if the material is packaged using stories and parables, of course, this is based on the human instinct or tendency to really like parables.

Abstract

This study aims to see how Islamic religious education and ethics are implemented in one of the state primary schools in Bantul area, Yogyakarta, based on the 2013 curriculum. This study used a qualitative method. The data used in this study came from interviews with PAI teachers and observing teacher and student learning activities in one of the 3rd grade elementary schools in Bantul district. This study shows that PAI teachers have prepared all learning tools needed for learning, including making lesson plans, syllabus, prota, prosem, and teaching strategies. Learning can be done in various ways, such as lecture, question and answer, presentation, discussion, practice, and project-based learning. However, these methods are less effective because there are still students who lack confidence and enthusiasm for learning. The evaluation stage applied by PAI teachers assesses three domains, namely, cognitive (knowledge), affective (attitude), and psychomotor (skills). As for inhibiting factors, teachers try to maximize the supporting factors that are already available at school in terms of improving the quality of learning.

Abstract

This study explores the dynamics of implementing the sorogan method, a traditional learning approach in pesantren, within the Qur'anic Studies and Tafsir Department at UIN Sunan Kalijaga. The main objective of this implementation is to train and familiarize students with accessing Arabic-language canonical references. Analyzed qualitatively through a case study approach, data were collected through interviews with faculty and students, as well as non-participant direct observations during several lecture sessions. The findings reveal that while this method enhances the personal internalization of understanding, it also faces challenges such as time constraints and difficulty in formulating a format that integrates with the modern curriculum. This study also provides analyses that can serve as considerations and recommendations for optimizing the sorogan method in higher education learning.

Abstract

The Ummi method is a method that teaches reading the Koran properly and correctly. The purpose of writing this article is to describe the application of the Ummi method and find out the obstacles that arise in learning the Koran at SD IT Bakti 2 Nairatul Jannah. The conclusion results show that the implementation of the Ummi method of learning the Koran in the school is carried out through seven learning stages and the superiority of the Ummi method lies in the 10 pillars of the quality system. The obstacle found was that 2 out of 3 teachers had not been certified with the Ummi method. This has an impact on the learning process where there are still errors in reading and memorizing the Koran because the stages of instilling and understanding concepts have not been mastered by the teacher. Apart from that, it is felt that the Alquraan coordinator as the school principal is very busy with school administration matters, so internal control is still very lacking.
