BAREKENG: Jurnal ilmu Matematika dan Terapan is one of the scientific publication media, which publish the article related to the result of research or study in the field of Pure Mathematics and Applied Mathematics. Focus and scope of BAREKENG: Jurnal ilmu Matematika dan Terapan, as follows: - Pure Mathematics (analysis, algebra & number theory), - Applied Mathematics (Fuzzy, Artificial Neural Network, Mathematics Modeling & Simulation, Control & Optimization, Ethno-mathematics, etc.), - Statistics, - Actuarial Science, - Logic, - Geometry & Topology, - Numerical Analysis, - Mathematic Computation and - Mathematics Education. The meaning word of "BAREKENG" is one of the words from Moluccas language which means "Counting" or "Calculating". Counting is one of the main and fundamental activities in the field of Mathematics. Therefore we tried to promote the word "Barekeng" as the name of our scientific journal also to promote the culture of the Maluku Area. BAREKENG: Jurnal ilmu Matematika dan Terapan is published four (4) times a year in March, June, September and December, since 2020 and each issue consists of 15 articles. The first published since 2007 in printed version (p-ISSN: 1978-7227) and then in 2018 BAREKENG journal has published in online version (e-ISSN: 2615-3017) on website: (https://ojs3.unpatti.ac.id/index.php/barekeng/). This journal system is currently using OJS3.1.1.4 from PKP. BAREKENG: Jurnal ilmu Matematika dan Terapan has been nationally accredited at Level 3 (SINTA 3) since December 2018, based on the Direktur Jenderal Penguatan Riset dan Pengembangan, Kementerian Riset, Teknologi, dan Pendidikan Tinggi, Republik Indonesia, with Decree No. : 34 / E / KPT / 2018. Abstract

If the characteristic polynomial of a linear operator is completely factored in scalar field of then Jordan canonical form of can be converted to its rational canonical form of , and vice versa. If the characteristic polynomial of linear operator is not completely factored in the scalar field of ,then the rational canonical form of can still be obtained but not its Jordan canonical form matrix . Abstract

Marketing management is an activity to plan and organize marketing activities in order to achieve organizational or company goals efficiently and effectively. Problems arise when there are several or many different projects that can be implemented as company marketing projects. These projects are usually categorized by several objectives. These goals can be complementary or contradictory. In operation, decision-makers are required to choose and determine the right project to achieve the target. In this paper, we discuss a programming model using the zero-one goal programming approach, a selection of marketing projects to meet many objectives and constraints, and then give examples of its implementation. Discussion and implementation include goal programming categories: nonpreemptive goal programming and preemptive goal programming

Abstract

The area of the Batu Bulan dam is less than 183 hectares with capacity of 15 liters per second, the largest dam on Sumbawa island, located in Batu Bulan village, Moyo Hulu sub-district, Sumbawa regency, West Nusa Tenggara. Batu Bulan Dam is planned to be able to meet the irrigation needs, raw water, and has a potential for hydroelectric power plants. Considering the latter plans and the limited water supply from the dam, it is necessary to have a study for the optimization of the Dam's water allocation. By this study, the water allocation can be optimized and the planting patterns are managed. The goal of this research is the optimization of Batu Bulan Dam waters allocation for irrigation utilization, which is expected to improve dam operation patterns, to obtain the best cropping patterns and to obtain optimum benefits of rice and corn plants planted in the irrigation area. One method that can be used to solve the water allocation problem is linear programming with the objective is maximizing total profits and the constraints is water availability and land area

Abstract

This research developed a model of tuberculosis disease spread using the SIR model with addition of the medical mask usage factor. First, we create a diagram of the tuberculosis disease spread compartment through contact between individuals with medical mask usage. After that, we construct a system of nonlinear differential equations based on the compartment diagram and then find the disease-free equilibrium point, the endemic equilibrium point, and the initial reproduction number . We use linearization to analyze of the disease-free equilibrium point. The disease-free equilibrium point obtained is asymptotically stable at . The simulation result shows that the value of . It means that tuberculosis disease in the future will disappear. But if we reduce the value of medical mask usage and increase the value of tuberculosis disease spread, the value . It means that tuberculosis diseases can become an outbreak.

Abstract

The axioms of fields satisfy over sets of numbers such as , , and . Generally, a set matrix is not commutative for binary multiplication properties, such that cannot satisfy of field axioms. In this paper we will discuss the circulant matrix set which satisfies the commutative properties of multiplication, then it will be shown that the definition of a field is satisfied by the circulant matrix . This can provide a new perspective on a field formed by matrix.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the level of students' algebraic reasoning in solving recursive relation problems using tower hanoi props in terms of learning styles. This research is a descriptive exploratory research with a qualitative approach. The instruments in this study consisted of learning style questionnaires, Mathematics Ability Tests, Problem Solving Tasks, and task-based interviews. The research begins with giving tests of mathematical ability and learning style agket to 8 semester VI students of the STKIP PGRI Sumenep mathematics education study program in Sumenep to obtain three subjects, each with visual, auditory and kinesthetic learning styles with equal mathematical abilities and of the same gender. After that, it was followed by giving problem solving tasks and task-based interviews twice. Time triangulation is used to check the validity of the data. The data analysis technique consists of 5 stages, namely data categorization, data reduction, data presentation, data interpretation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that the visual subject is higher than level 2 but has not reached level 3, the auditory subject is at level 2, and the kinesthetic subject is at level 3. The three subjects have reached the stage of solving the problem, but the one who can solve the problem until they find the final solution is only the kinesthetic subject. The implication of research in learning is that teachers can more easily design learning according to their learning styles so that they can hone students' algebraic reasoning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya perbedaan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII SMP menggunakan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan aplikasi Swishmax dan model pembelajaran konvensional pada materi prisma dan limas. Tipe penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian eksperimen (Experimental Research), dengan desain penelitian Posttest Only Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP yang terdiri dari 7 kelas. Sampel dalam penelitian ini diambil dengan menggunakan teknik Purposive Sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes akhir yang terdiri atas tiga soal berbentuk uraian. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dan statistik uji-t. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII3 sebesar 37.86 dan rata-rata hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII4 sebesar 21.84. Hasil uji prasyarat menunjukkan bahwa data pada kedua sampel berdistribusi normal dan memiliki varians yang homogen, selanjutnya dilakukan pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji beda rata-rata atau uji-t dan diperoleh nilai sig (2-tailed) < α atau 0.003 < 0.05, sehingga menyebabkan H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima yang artinya terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII SMP menggunakan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan aplikasi Swishmax dan model pembelajaran konvensional pada materi prisma dan limas.

Abstract

The growth of GDRP of Manokwari regency has a negative growth in the last few years, this shows the poor performance of the regional economy as a result of the utilization of production factors that are not optimal. This research aims to calculate and analyze the growth of economic sectors, the competitiveness of the economy and the growth profile of economic sectors in Sorong city with a proxy for GDRP from 2013 to 2018. The analysis method used is quantitative desctitive method with Shift-Share analysis approach. The research results show that positive growth in the economy of West Papua has had a positive impact on economic sectors in Sorong city. The sector that has the biggest impact from the economic growth of West Papua province is the construction sector and the smallest is the electricity and gas sector. At the provincial level, the sectors with negative growth are Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing sectors, Mining and Quarrying sectors, as well as the manufacturing sector which causes sluggish growth in the same sectors in the city of Sorong. In terms of competitiveness, only the Mining and Quarrying sector in the city of Sorong has competitiveness against the same sector in West Papua province. Only six economic sectors with progressive growth and as many as eleven economic sectors have negative growth.

Abstract

In ordered to prevent the transmission of Covid-19, the government of Tarakan city quarantines immigrants who entered Tarakan city. The government of Tarakan city have created a procedure for implementing the quarantine. Based on these procedures, this article aims to model the quarantine procedure using a Petri net. The Petri net model of the quarantine procedure for immigrants in the context of preventing Covid-19 in Tarakan City consists of eighteen transitions and sixteen places. The evolution of circumstances indicated by the matrix analyzed against the quarantine procedure for domestic immigrants with the final destination of Tarakan city. The determination of marking must be determined seriously so that this quarantine procedure can run smoothly according to purpose. The number of officers must be carefully taken into account so that there is no accumulation of queues of immigrants who was carry out the inspection. The capacity of quarantine places and hospitals must also be well prepared so that they are always available and ready to accept immigrants who was be quarantined.

Abstract

Ms.Excel merupakan sebuah aplikasi lembar kerja yang menyediakan menu pengolahan data. Aplikasi pengolahan data pada Ms.Excel dapat diaktifkan secara gratis di menu Toolbar yaitu menu Analysis ToolPak. Berdasarkan menu analisis tersebut hampir seluruh data statitik dapat diselesaikan sama dengan menggunakan aplikasi-aplikasi statistik yang berbayar saat ini. Jika mahasiswa mampu menggunakan Ms.Excel secara optimal pastinya sangat memudahkan dalan hal pengolahan data pada penelitian tugas akhir. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan analisis data menggunakan Ms.Excel pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir di Universitas Teuku Umar (UTU). Data kemampuan diperoleh melalui soal pengolahan data yang dikerjakan pada lembar kerja Ms.Excel. Soal meliputi materi statistik deskriptif, penyajian data, uji instrumen dan uji hipotesis. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh fakta bahwa mahasiswa mampu menghitung statistik deskriptif sebesar 34%, penyajian data 43%, 13% pada uji instrumen dan terakhir 10% pada uji hipotesis. Secara kumulatif, kemampuan pengolahan berbasis Ms.Excel pada mahasiswa akhir Universitas Teuku Umar berada pada kategori sedang.
