Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine student’s ability to write short stories using pictures media. The method used in this research is an experiment with a quantitative approach and a one-group pretest-posttest design. The instruments used are pretest and posttest. The data analysis techniques employed are validity tests, normality tests, and paired sample t-tests. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Kuningan with a sample of 30 students from class XI-3. The result of this research are: 1) students’ ability to write short stories before using picture media was still far from the Minimum Mastery Criteria (MMC) with an average score of 72,16; 2)students’ ability to write short stories after using picture media improved with an average score of 85,83; 3) based on the t-test (paired sample t-test ), the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, and the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected because the significance value (2-tailed) is 0.000 < 0.05. Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of picture media has a significant effect on students’ writing ability in short story lessons in class XI at SMA Negeri 1 Kuningan. Thus, it is also recommended for teachers to apply this method in their teaching.

Abstract

An encyclopedia book is a book that has thorough information that explains concepts and displays important images that are organized systematically and alphabetically. It may be used to exercise critical thinking abilities. The purpose of this study is to describe the validity, practicability, and efficacy of Banua Botanical Garden's encyclopedia of the clusiaceae family. The research development of this encyclopedia uses the Educational Design Research (EDR) research method with Tessmer's formative evaluation design. Expert exam subjects are three lecturers from the Biology Education Study Program at Lambung Mangkurat University, individual test subjects are four Phanerogamae course students, and small group test subjects are four Phanerogamae course students. Details of data are obtained from the instruments of content validity, practicality of content, practicality of expectations, and effectiveness of expectations. The study's findings revealed: 1) the validity of the encyclopedia of valid categories; 2) the practicality of category content and category expectations is extremely excellent; 3) The effectiveness of category expectations is very good for training students' critical thinking skills. The encyclopedia book clusiaceae family of Banua Botanical Garden can be one of the teaching materials that can improve the learning process in the Phanerogamae course because it has attractiveness, is easy to use and effectively trains students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This type of research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The data sources used in this research include the main source in the form of interviews with the Principal, Islamic Religious Education Teacher, and students from SD N 2 Gondang Purwantoro, as well as additional sources in the form of photos of activities. Data collection was carried out through a process of interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this research show that: The strategy implemented by Islamic Religious Education teachers in increasing PAI learning motivation at SD N 2 Gondang Purwantoro involves several actions, such as familiarizing themselves in the school environment, being a good example for students, collaborating with fellow teachers, and involving students in the process of learning religion at school. Students' learning motivation towards PAI at SD N 2 Gondang Purwantoro has increased quite significantly. This can be seen from the large number of students' participation in learning, including asking questions during the learning process, completing assignments, the high level of student enthusiasm during study hours, and the habit of praying before and after lessons. There are factors that support and hinder efforts to increase students' learning motivation towards PAI at SD N 2 Gondang Purwantoro. Internal factors, namely factors that come from within the student, as well as external factors, which include the role of teachers, school principals, and supporting assistance, both influence this process.

Abstract

This research is research and development aimed at developing Nearpod-based learning media regarding the planets in the solar system for elementary schools. This research uses a 4D development model, there are define, design, development and dissemination. This research was conducted on sixth grade students at SDN 194 Pekanbaru in the term of 2023/2024. The data collection techniques used were interview sheets, validation and practicality questionnaires. The data analysis technique used were descriptive qualitative analysis which is used to analyze data in the form of suggestions and input provided by expert validators from media suitability validation sheets. The results from the media validity test show that this media is categorized as very valid with a score 89.48%. This media development said to be very valid seen criteria from the product, material and language aspects. After conducting small group trials to see the practicality of the media developed, it can be concluded that this media is very good with a score of 90.5% obtained from teacher and student responses. From the validity and practicality results, it can be concluded that Nearpod-based media regarding the planets in the solar system in elementary schools is declared valid and very practical.

Abstract

Research has been conducted to describe the digital literacy of elementary school teachers in Banjarmasin. This research serves to provide an overview of elementary school teachers' literacy and the obstacles in Banjarmasin. The research is quantitative descriptive. The sample selection technique was purposive sampling. The subjects were 109 elementary school teachers in Banjar District. The results of this research are that teachers at elementary schools in Banjarmasin tend to have digital literacy skills in the good category. The average score reached 76.33%. The aspect of ability that teachers master most is information and data literacy which is in the good category at 83.64%. The security aspect is in the good category at 76.26%. The communication and collaboration aspects are in the good category at 70.87%. The problem solving aspect is in the good category at 80.73%.  The digital content creation aspect is in the good category at 71.99%.  Digital literacy is good mastered because it is supported by the independent learning program and community of peer teachers. Teachers lack mastery of aspects of digital content creation, seen from the lowest competency, this is because teachers prefer to use ready-made teaching media and lack the desire to create digital content.

Abstract

One form of learning in implementing the Merdeka curriculum is the application of the PBL-STEM model which brings students closer to real problems. The aim of this research is to examine the effect of applying the PBL-STEM model on cognitive learning outcomes in the environmental change sub-concept material. The method used in this research was quasi-experimental and non-equivalent control group. The experimental class was held in class X-F with a minimum number of students 34 people, and the control class was held in class X-D with a minimum number of students 34 people. Data was collected from pretest and posttest scores (product cognitive). In the data analysis technique, the Wilcoxon test was used for pre-test and post-test. The results of the research show that the application of the PBL-STEM model has an effect on students' cognitive learning in learning the sub-concept of environmental change in class X, 7.03 (caring), 6.78 (sharing), and psychomotor 21.2 (high category).

Abstract

One of the challenges for students to maintain their own culture is their lack of understanding of Javanese script. Java has diverse ethnicities, cultures and languages, and these differences create a unique beauty. The method applied in class 3 of SDN 1 Sukosono in this research is the research and development (R&D) method. Researchers applied the ADDIE model which includes 5 phases namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The purpose of this research is to develop ACA Card learning media for Javanese script material and improve students' knowledge in understanding Javanese script. Based on the needs analysis, students have difficulty in understanding Javanese script, especially Carakan script. The results showed that ACA Card media that compiled sentences into cards and used attractive designs obtained validation results from material experts as much as 80% and from media experts as much as 75% with a percentage of decent categories. The ACACard media trial showed an increase in scores from pretest 53.87 to posttest 81.00 for 15 students. The results of the analysis test with paired sample t-tests on SPSS 26 show a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05, which means that there is a difference in the average acquisition of learning outcomes before and after the application of ACA Card media in Javanese script learning in elementary schools. Thus, the development of ACA Card media can be concluded to be effective for developing students' understanding of Javanese script material, especially Carakan script.

Abstract

Education plays role in shaping students who can preserve Pancasila as Indonesian characteristic. This study identifies challenges and examines the nature of best practices implemented by school through the implement of Kurikulum Merdeka to construct the Pancasila student characters in the 21st-century education era. The research method is qualitative descriptive approach with a research subjects are high school students of SMA Negeri 1 Ngemplak Boyolali. The research object is school policies in actualizing Pancasila as Indonesian characteristic. Data collected through by observations and documentations, then analyzed by data reduction, presenting results and drawing conclusion. The study results indicate challenges in the 21st-century education era related to excessive use of technologys and poorlys filtered access to information, leading to disruptions in students learning focus. The efforts made by the school involve constructing the character of students based on Pancasila values through the implement of Kurikulum Merdeka. This process carried out through by P5 activities in school, so students become accustomed. The educational approach applied by school in the 21st-century education era is student-oriented, then enabling them to adapt the challenges of changing times. School have made optimaly efforts to implement the construction of Pancasila student characters in this 21st-century education era.

Abstract

The main objective of this study is to provide a detailed and in-depth description of the results obtained after the implementation of the character education program in the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project at SMK Negeri 2 Pekanbaru. The study uses the CIPP model, which considers the aspects of Context, Input, Process and Product to comprehensively evaluate the program in question. This evaluation is a qualitative approach through a descriptive case study. The data needed for this assessment were collected through various methods such as interviews, field observations and analysis of related documents. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. Data sources come from the principal, vice principal in charge of curriculum, vice principal in charge of student affairs, school treasurer, head of administrative staff, the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project coordination team, teachers of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project, parents of students and students. The results of the study indicate that the character education program in the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project has been implemented well by SMK Negeri 2 Pekanbaru. At the context stage, the average achievement level is 93% with a good category; at the input stage, it is 82.18% with a good category; at the process stage, it is 85% with a good category; and at the results stage, it is 75% in the pretty good category. The characteristics that are strengthened in the implementation of the character education program in the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project, in general, are strengthening respect between fellow students and teachers and being able to take responsibility for their role as students at SMK Negeri 2 Pekanbaru.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the impact of the Merdeka Belajar curriculum on improving the academic achievement of level X students. This research uses a quantitative approach with descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. A sample of 55 students was randomly selected from the entire class X population at SMKN 5 Dumai, consisting of 5 students from each department. The collected data was then analyzed using a one-sample t-test by comparing the average score of the population in the semester before implementing the Merdeka Belajar curriculum with the scores in several samples after the Merdeka Belajar curriculum was implemented. The analysis results show a statistical t-test value of 14.05, which exceeds the critical t value (critical value) with a significance level of α = 0.05 (1.675), or in other words, the p-value is smaller than α. Therefore, the conclusion that can be drawn is that there is sufficient strong evidence to reject the null hypothesis (H0) and conclude that the average student score in the 2022/2023 academic year after implementing the Merdeka Belajar curriculum is higher than the average in 2021/ 2022 before the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar curriculum, at a significance level of 0.05.
