Abstract

Archive management is an essential element in supporting the smooth administration of schools. However, archive management at Al-Hariri Private Vocational High School in Tebo Regency has not been carried out optimally due to limitations in administrative staff and supporting facilities. This study aims to analyze the performance of administrative staff in archive management, identify obstacles, and examine efforts to overcome these obstacles to improve the effectiveness of archive governance. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design, utilizing observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results indicate that the performance of administrative staff is not yet optimal, as evidenced by unsystematic archive arrangement and the absence of a dedicated archive room. The main obstacles include limitations in human resources and infrastructure. Efforts to overcome these obstacles have been implemented through internal collaboration, more organized manual archive arrangement, effective time management, support from the school principal, competency improvement through training, and the initial implementation of document digitization. This study emphasizes the need to enhance administrative staff competencies, provide adequate archival facilities, and strengthen school administrative management to ensure more effective archive management.

Abstract

Mathematical reasoning and literacy are essential for solving word problems. However, students still face difficulties because solving word problems requires not only numeracy skills but also the ability to understand information, analyze solution steps, and draw conclusions. This qualitative descriptive study aims to describe students’ mathematical reasoning and literacy skills in solving word problems. The study involved 12 students from classes XII F-5 and XII F-6 selected through purposive sampling, consisting of two students in each category: high, medium, and low reasoning and literacy abilities. Data were collected through tests, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that mathematical reasoning abilities in class XII F-5 were 9% high, 28% medium, and 63% low, while in class XII F-6, they were 27% high, 21% medium, and 52% low, indicating overall low reasoning skills. Meanwhile, mathematical literacy abilities in class XII F-5 were 22% high, 62% medium, and 16% low, and in class XII F-6, 15% high, 67% medium, and 18% low, indicating overall medium literacy skills.

Abstract

The basic assumption of this study concerns the vagueness of the existence of school committees, therefore, their participation is still being debated. This comparative case study explicitly adopts a qualitative method in which the investigation is directed at the Forms and differential aspects of the participation of two committees, namely Pattallassang and Batumenteng, which are modeled through the features of Nvivo 12 Plus. The study involved 10 respondents to obtain an overview of the specific and general aspects of the two committees, and data were collected using interview and observation techniques. The results of the analysis show that there are four forms of participation between the two committees, namely: a) Ensuring the Quality of Education Services; b) Social Service; c) School Management, and; d) Providing Assistance. While the differences in participation between the two are influenced by two general categories with specific sub-indicators, namely: 1) Knowledge Factor, and; 2) Motivation Factor or Participation Mode.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengeksplorasi kebudayaan Keraton Sumenep yang dikaitakan dengan ide critical spatial thinking serta dintegrasikan dalam pembelajaran matematika. Metode penelitian menggunakan studi literatur dengan menelaah dokumen, artikel jurnal, buku, dan sumber digital yang relevan tentang arsitektur, sejarah, dan struktur ruang Keraton Sumenep. Analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bangunan, benda peninggalan, dan ornamen Keraton Sumenep memuat beragam konsep matematis, seperti bangun datar dan bangun ruang, simetri, kongruensi, kesebangunan, titik, garis, serta sudut. Integrasi budaya lokal ini berpotensi memperkaya pembelajaran matematika, khususnya geometri dan pengukuran, sekaligus menumbuhkan critical spatial thinking. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa warisan budaya dapat dijadikan sumber kontekstual yang kuat dalam pendidikan matematika, sehingga pembelajaran menjadi lebih bermakna dan relevan dengan kehidupan sehari-hari.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to explore students’ perceptions of the implementation of school rules at SMP Islam Al-Azhar 57 Jambi. The research is motivated by the importance of school regulations in maintaining order and creating a conducive learning environment, while also addressing various behavioral challenges among adolescents. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach, involving students who had direct experience with the application of school rules. The findings indicate that most students consider the rules to be clearly formulated, easy to understand, and consistently enforced by teachers. However, students’ compliance varies, particularly regarding dress code regulations such as wearing headscarves, the length of socks, and haircut requirements, which some students find uncomfortable. Despite certain rules being perceived as strict, students acknowledge the benefits of school regulations, as they encourage discipline and contribute to a more orderly learning environment. Most students believe the existing rules are appropriate, with only a few suggesting minor adjustments. Overall, the implementation of school rules is considered effective, though further efforts are needed to strengthen students’ sense of responsibility to ensure optimal adherence. Abstract

This study employed multiple regression analysis, which showed a coefficient of determination of R² = 0.339, indicating that friendship quality and self-confidence have a significant role in loneliness. Loneliness is a common experience felt by many individuals. Internal and external factors, such as self-confidence and friendship quality, can actively influence feelings of loneliness, especially among university students in the late-adolescence to early-adulthood period. During this stage, students face various demands, ranging from completing their education to expanding social relationships. The purpose of this study was to examine the role of friendship quality and self-confidence in loneliness among university students. This study used a quantitative approach with 164 student respondents. The instruments used included the Friendship Quality Scale (FQS), the Self-Confidence Questionnaire, and the UCLA Loneliness Scale Version 3. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS version 27. The results showed that friendship quality had a more significant effect on loneliness (β = –0.365, p = 0.001 < 0.05) than self-confidence (β = –0.309, p = 0.001 < 0.05). Both variables simultaneously contributed to reducing loneliness levels. Although friendship quality had a stronger effect, the overall results indicate that both friendship quality and self-confidence play important roles in reducing loneliness among university students.

Abstract

As technology continues to grow, the internet and social media are increasingly used for communication and self-expression, especially among teenagers. However, this ease of access also leads to misuse, including cyberbullying. This study aims to explain how well 11th-grade students at MAN 1 Muaro Jambi understand flaming as a form of cyberbullying. Using a quantitative descriptive method and Simple Random Sampling, 36 students were selected as respondents. Data were obtained through a questionnaire and analyzed using frequency and percentage. The results show different levels of understanding: rude language (8%), openly expressing anger (15.22%), using capital letters or symbols to show emotion (20.35%), and verbally attacking others (11.69%). Overall, students’ understanding of flaming as cyberbullying is considered fairly good.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The thesis by Maria Virginia Usmauk, student ID 2101140159, Elementary School Teacher Education Program, Year 2025, titled "Pengembangan Media Video Animasi Berbasis Aplikasi Canva Untuk Menumbuhkan Kesadaran Lingkungan Pada Siswa kelas III UPTD SD Negeri Kelapa Lima Kupang," aims to develop animated video media based on the Canva application for social science learning (IPAS) in third grade elementary school. The main problem addressed is the habit of many students frequently littering and showing little care for the cleanliness of the school environment and surroundings, which leads to many diseases and environmental pollution. One effort to overcome this environmental problem is to instill environmental care attitudes in students from an early age, starting with maintaining school cleanliness by disposing of trash in its place. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D). The research subjects consisted of 26 third-grade students. Data was collected through expert validation questionnaires, teacher and student response questionnaires, documentation, and tests. The results of expert validation for media and material experts showed percentages of 87.5% and 91.6%, respectively, with a "very feasible" category. Teachers and students rated the developed media as very practical with percentages of 88.54% and 96.875%, respectively. The n-gain analysis of student learning outcomes showed a percentage of 61%, categorized as "Quite Effective." These findings demonstrate that the animated video media based on the Canva application for social science learning in elementary school is very feasible, practical, and effective in fostering environmental awareness in students.

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) Determine the implementation of the Snowball Throwing learning method in the subject of Mathematics with numbered material. 2) Increase the learning activity of students through the Snowball Throwing learning method in the Mathematics subject of numbered numbers. 3) Increase the critical thinking of students through the Snowball Throwing learning method in the subject of Mathematics of numbered material. This research is a Class Action Research (PTK) with a Kemmis and Taggart spiral model consisting of four stages, namely Planning, Action, Observation, and Reflection. The research subjects were 20 students in grade IV of SD Negeri Gedongkiwo Yogyakarta. Data was collected through observation, questionnaires, tests and documentation, then analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively descriptive. The validity of the data is carried out by examining credibility using triangulation techniques. The results of the study showed a significant increase in the activeness of learning and critical thinking in mathematics using the Snowball Throwing method. In the aspect of learning implementation, the percentage increased from 64% (poor category) in the first cycle of the initial meeting. to 71% (quite good in the final meeting. In the second cycle of the initial meeting, the implementation increased to 88% (good) and reached 94% (very good) at the final meeting. The learning activity of students also increased, from pre-cycle by 51% (good), then increased in cycle I to 54% and 68% (good), and experienced an increase in meaning in cycle II to 77% and reached 89% (very good). The students' critical thinking skills also developed, as seen from the overall completeness of 40% of pre-cycle students who obtained an average score of KKM, increased in cycle 1 from 55% to 65%, and in cycle II from 75% to 90% with 18 students who obtained an average score of KKM.

Abstract

Globalization has brought significant impacts on the shifting values and cultural identity of the nation, particularly in the field of arts education. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Ki Hadjar Dewantara’s educational philosophy in Dambus dance education as an effort to preserve cultural identity in the global era.The philosophy of ing ngarso sung tulodo, ing madya mangun karso, tut wuri handayani serves as a conceptual foundation for shaping an arts education process that instills educational values. This research employs a qualitative method with an ethnocoreological approach. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation studies involving students, teachers, and cultural communities. The results show that cultural values such as religiosity, mutual cooperation, politeness, and patriotism are internalized in the movements, music, costumes, and symbolic meanings of the Dambus dance. The implementation of Ki Hadjar Dewantara’s philosophy in dance education is reflected in three main aspects: (1) educators serve as moral exemplars and guardians of cultural values; (2) students are actively engaged in learning processes that foster a sense of belonging to local culture; and (3) appreciation activities and Dambus dance performances function as a medium to strengthen identity and cultivate national awareness amid the currents of globalization. Thus, Dambus dance education based on Ki Hadjar Dewantara’s philosophy becomes an effective means of fostering cultural awareness, character, and an identity rooted in Indonesian personality.
