Abstract

This study aims to determine students’ perceptions of hoax news content on TikTok. This research used a quantitative descriptive approach with a survey method. The respondents were 58 students of the PPKn Study Program, FKIP Universitas Sriwijaya. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results show that students generally have a critical and cautious perception of hoax news content on TikTok, although exposure to hoax information is still frequently encountered. Therefore, strengthening digital literacy among students is essential to prevent the spread of hoax news.

Abstract

This study analyzes the relationship between data communication network convergence and the escalation of global cyber warfare in the high-connectivity era. The integration of Internet of Things (IoT), cloud computing, edge computing, and 5G networks has created efficient yet vulnerable communication ecosystems. Using a qualitative comparative case study on SolarWinds (2020), Colonial Pipeline (2021), and Ukraine’s energy cyberattacks (2022–2024), the study finds that technological convergence expands cross-domain vulnerabilities (IT–OT–Cloud–Edge), triggers cascading impacts on critical systems, and accelerates the shift toward integrated digital warfare. The research introduces the Strategic Convergence Theory, emphasizing the need for zero-trust architectures, cross-sector cyber deterrence policies, and adaptive resilience-based governance to strengthen global cybersecurity.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat efektivitas penggunaan media audiovisual dalam pembelajaran menyimak bahasa Siswa Kelas V SD Negeri Layang IV Kota Makassar. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian pre- eksperimental designs dengan metode one group pre-test-post-test design. Subjek penelitian ini adalah Siswa Kelas V SD Negeri Layang IV Kota Makassar yang berjumlah 23 siswa. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini berupa tes awal (pre-test) dan tes akhir (pos-test). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat tingkat efektivitas yang signifikan penggunaan media audiovisual terhadap efektivitas pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia dengan keterampilan menyimak cerita Siswa Kelas V SD Negeri Layang IV Kota Makassar. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan terjadi peningkatan nilai yang dapat dilihat dari hasil posttest siswa setelah diberi perlakuan. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan nilai rata-rata dari posttest siswamen unjukkan bahwa persentase siswa yang memperhatikan penjelasan guru sebesar 95,65%, persentase siswa yang menyimak saat guru menjelaskan sebesar 95,65%, persentase murid yang aktif dalam melakukan pengamatan sebesar 100%, persentase siswa yang berani bertanya pada saat proses pembelajaran sebesar 82,60%, persentase siswa yang menulis laporan pengamatan dengan baik dan benar sebesar 86,95%, dan persentase siswa yang menjelaskan kesimpulan hasil pengamatan sebesar 82,60%, sehingga pembelajaran dengan menerapkan media audio visual dinyatakan berhasil karena jumlah murid yang mendapatkan nilai di atas KKM di atas 90%.

Abstract

This study evaluates the effectiveness of implementing Smart Box media to improve learning outcomes in Civics Education (PPKn) for 2nd-grade elementary school students, in the context of the low level of civic understanding in Indonesia and the need for innovation in interactive learning media. Adopting a quantitative method through a pure experimental design, the research was conducted at UPT SDN 220 Gresik involving 40 students (20 in the experimental group and 20 in the control group). The experimental group received learning interventions based on Smart Box media, while the control group used traditional approaches. Data collection was conducted through pretests and posttests, then analyzed using the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test, and N-Gain analysis. The normality test findings indicated a non-normal data distribution, leading to the application of non-parametric tests. The results of the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test showed a significant increase (p = 0.000) in the experimental group, with most students demonstrating progress in mastering Pancasila material. This study concluded that the Smart Box media is proven effective in improving Civics learning outcomes, as well as providing practical benefits for educators and students in creating an engaging and efficient learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the concept of truth in language use according to Ludwig Wittgenstein’s philosophical thought and its implications for English language teaching in EFL (English as a Foreign Language) classrooms. The research employs a qualitative approach using library research methods through the analysis of Wittgenstein’s works and recent academic literature in the fields of philosophy of language and pedagogy. Data were obtained from secondary sources, including relevant books and peer-reviewed journal articles, and analyzed using content analysis techniques. The findings indicate that Wittgenstein’s concept of “truth as use” directly influences a more communicative and contextual approach to English language teaching. The main finding reveals that a language-games-based approach enhances students’ communicative performance by balancing grammatical accuracy and social acceptability. Moreover, the results emphasize that learning evaluation should not only focus on propositional truth but also on functional truth, reflecting learners’ ability to use language appropriately in social contexts. Consequently, this research contributes theoretically by bridging Wittgenstein’s philosophy of language with modern pedagogical practices and offers a conceptual foundation for developing more pragmatic curricula and evaluation strategies in English language teaching.

Abstract

The limited innovation of learning media in studying local history with increasingly advanced technological developments has not been fully conveyed, materials such as the Palembang War of 1819-1821 are still little studied so that innovative teaching materials are needed that are in accordance with technological developments and the needs of students. This study aims to develop Cosmic media in Heyzine-based history learning that is valid, interesting and practical. This study uses the Alessi & Trollip development model which was implemented in class XI F1 MAN 1 Ogan Ilir. The validation results of this study show a value from media experts of 4.57, and a value from material experts of 4.69, both of which are included in the very valid category. The level of practicality of Cosmic can be seen from the value of educator responses which show a value of 97.3% and the value of student responses reaching 89.94% which when recapitulated can reach a value of 90.22% with a very good category. Thus, it can be concluded that the Heyzine-based Cosmic product with the material of the Palembang War of 1819-1821 is suitable for use as a learning medium, especially for learning history.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of parents in enhancing children’s obedience to Allah through discipline in performing obligatory prayers (shalat fardhu) in Kurao Pagang Village. The research employed a qualitative field research approach with a descriptive design to explore religious practices within the family environment. The research subjects were parents with elementary school–aged children. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted inductively through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while data validity was ensured using source and technique triangulation.The findings indicate that parents play a significant role in fostering children’s obedience in performing obligatory prayers. Open and persuasive communication, accompanied by consistent parental role modeling, serves as a key factor in shaping children’s religious awareness. Parents apply various educational methods, including exemplary behavior (uswah hasanah), habituation, positive reinforcement, emotional approaches, and disciplined supervision adjusted to the child’s age and character. However, several challenges were identified, such as children’s laziness, low spiritual awareness, negative influences of digital media, limited parental time, and unsupportive peer environments. Despite these obstacles, parents continue to demonstrate adaptive efforts and collaborate with social and religious figures to overcome these challenges. The study concludes that effective parental involvement within the family is essential in developing children’s discipline and consistency in performing obligatory prayers.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the differences between three types of Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), namely One-Way ANOVA, Two-Way ANOVA, and Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA) in research. The method in this study is a literature study by analyzing scientific sources relevant to the topic of study. The results of the analysis show that the fundamental difference between the three analyses lies in the number of independent variables and dependent variables used. One-Way ANOVA is applied to analyze the effect of one independent variable on one dependent variable. Two-Way ANOVA is used to test the effect of two independent variables on one dependent variable, including the possibility of interaction between independent variables. Meanwhile, MANOVA is used in research involving more than one dependent variable that is analyzed simultaneously based on one or more independent variables

Abstract

This study examines the legal standing and validity of land sale-purchase agreements that are not registered with the Land Office, as well as the legal consequences for the contracting parties and third parties. In Indonesia’s legal system, land transactions operate under two distinct regimes: civil law, governed by Articles 1320 and 1338 of the Civil Code, and agrarian law, regulated by the Basic Agrarian Law (UUPA) and Government Regulation No. 24 of 1997. From a civil law perspective, an underhand sale-purchase agreement remains valid as long as it fulfills the requirements of consent, legal capacity, a specific object, and a lawful cause. However, such an agreement only creates an obligatoir effect and does not transfer property rights until an official Sale and Purchase Deed (AJB) is executed before a PPAT and registered with the Land Office. Consequently, buyers face legal vulnerability regarding third-party claims and lack full legal protection. In certain cases, such as the Subang District Court decision, long-term possession, proof of payment, and the absence of objection by the seller can strengthen the buyer’s position to apply for a land certificate. Nonetheless, registration remains essential to ensuring legal certainty and protecting third-party interests.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the deep learning approach in enhancing the effectiveness of the Teaching Practice Program (PPL) at MA Riyadlus Sholihin, an Islamic boarding school–based institution characterized by strong religious values and traditional learning culture. Using a qualitative case study design, data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that student teachers applied deep learning from the planning stage by designing instructional tools that emphasize conceptual understanding, higher-order thinking activities, and the integration of pesantren values. During the implementation stage, strategies such as small-group discussions, case analysis, and guided reflection significantly improved students’ motivation, participation, and deep comprehension of the learning materials. Moreover, the approach contributed to strengthening religious values and fostering moral awareness within the pesantren learning environment. Despite its effectiveness, the implementation of deep learning faced challenges, including hierarchical traditional learning culture, limited learning facilities, and varied levels of students’ academic readiness. Student teachers responded to these challenges through pedagogical adaptation, flexible methods, and differentiated instruction. Overall, the study concludes that integrating deep learning into PPL enhances pre-service teachers’ pedagogical competence, elevates the quality of instructional practices, and increases the relevance of teaching experiences within Islamic boarding school contexts.
