Abstract

Learning media plays an important role in supporting students' understanding, especially in abstract material such as the conversion of units of weight. Good media is media that can have a positive impact and influence on its users. Therefore, this study aims to determine how much influence the use of Weight Conversion Board learning media has on the learning outcomes of 3rd grade students of MI Masjid Al- Akbar Surabaya. This research uses a quantitative approach with descriptive methods. The research subjects amounted to 16 students, and the data was obtained through a post-test after learning took place for one month using the media. The results of the analysis show that most students have met the KKM criteria standard of 70. Concrete visualization and direct manipulation through the conversion board are proven to help students understand the concept of weight conversion more meaningfully. Even so, some students still need guidance in order to get the appropriate results. So it can be concluded that the use of media alone is not enough to require further strengthening to support learning for students.

Abstract

The research on the application of the mind mapping model using Canva media in learning to write biographical texts for class X students of SMK Pelita Jatibarang in the 2024/2025 academic year aims to determine the results and process of learning activities in writing biographical texts. This study used two groups (experimental and control) which were conducted twice in each class to obtain pretest (before treatment) and posttest (after treatment) data. The pretest was given to determine students' knowledge and skills in learning to write biographical texts. Then the posttest was given to determine the effectiveness of using the mind mapping model using Canva media and its differences with the problem-based learning model using Vista Create media. In addition, observations will be carried out during the learning process to determine student activities during the learning. The results of student activities in learning in the experimental and control classes have differences in the average and criteria. In the experimental class, the average score was 46% with a very good category. While in the control class, the average value was 10% with a sufficient category. This can be concluded that the activity of students in the experimental class was higher than the control class. The difference in biographical text writing skills between the experimental class and the control class was shown by the results of the Wilcoxon and Mann Whitney statistical analysis tests. The results of the Wilcoxon and Mann Whitney nonparametric tests on the post-test scores of the experimental class and the control class both showed a significance value of Asymp.Sig.(2-tailed) = <0.05. from both results it can be concluded that there is an influence. So the mind map learning model using Canva media is an effective learning strategy.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the suboptimal utilization of technology-based learning media in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) instruction at the elementary school level, which causes learning activities to be predominantly teacher-centered, less engaging, and result in low student participation and understanding. Therefore, this research aimed to develop Sparkol Videoscribe-based learning media for Grade V IPAS that meet the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE development model, which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The product validity was assessed through expert validation questionnaires involving material experts, media experts, and language experts. The practicality of the media was measured using response questionnaires from teachers and students. The effectiveness of the media was determined based on the comparison of students’ pre-test and post-test results at SDN 24 Batuang Taba as the trial school and SDN 31 Tanjung Aur as the research school. The results showed that the learning media was categorized as very valid, with material validity of 86%, media validity of 86%, and language validity of 94%. The practicality test indicated that the media was very practical, with teacher responses of 91% and student responses of 92% at the trial school, and teacher responses of 94% and student responses of 93% at the research school. The effectiveness test produced N-Gain scores of 0.64 (64%) at the trial school and 0.60 (60%) at the research school, both in the effective category. Thus, the Sparkol Videoscribe-based learning media is valid, practical, and effective for use in IPAS learning in Grade V elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to describe how Qur’anic values are integrated into the evaluation system of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning at SMAN 1 Makarti Jaya. Evaluation in the Islamic perspective does not merely assess students’ cognitive achievements but also encompasses affective and spiritual dimensions grounded in Qur’anic values such as justice (al-‘adl), responsibility (al-hisab), balance (al-wazn), and honesty (ash-shidq). The research employed a qualitative descriptive method with a field study approach. Data were collected through interviews with PAI teachers, classroom observations, and analysis of assessment documents. The findings reveal that PAI teachers at SMAN 1 Makarti Jaya have implemented Qur’anic-based evaluation principles through a continuous, fair, and character-oriented assessment system, which includes initial, formative, and summative evaluations. This implementation aligns with the values of tazkiyah an-nafs (self-purification) and hisab (accountability), indicating that evaluation functions not only as a measure of learning outcomes but also as a means of moral development. The study recommends strengthening teacher training programs to design evaluation instruments systematically based on Qur’anic values to enhance the spiritual and moral dimensions of education.

Abstract

The development of information technology has driven significant transformations in educational management, one of which is through the implementation of the Mobile-Based Education Management System (MBEMS). This system allows teachers, students, and parents to access educational services via mobile devices. This study aims to describe trends in the use of mobile applications in educational management at a school that has implemented a digital system. The method used is a qualitative descriptive approach through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that at MA Ma'arif NU Sains Al-Qur'an Sumbang, teachers have utilized the e-Rapor application for grade processing, but learning outcome reporting has not been done online. Meanwhile, students use the digital library as a medium for literacy and independent learning. Communication between the school and parents is still conducted through the WhatsApp Group application, which serves as a means of conveying academic information, attendance, and announcements of school activities. Although not yet integrated into a single mobile-based management system, the implementation of this technology demonstrates a positive trend towards more efficient, transparent, and participatory educational management.
