Abstract

Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) learning in elementary schools requires appropriate learning models to optimally improve students’ learning outcomes. This study aims to examine the role of PJOK learning models in improving elementary school students’ learning outcomes through a literature review. The research method used was a literature study by analyzing ten national journal articles published between 2022 and 2025. The data were analyzed using a descriptive qualitative approach by reviewing research findings related to the implementation of various PJOK learning models. The results indicate that cooperative learning, Teaching Games for Understanding (TGfU), Problem Based Learning, discovery learning, game-based learning, blended learning, and differentiated learning models have a positive effect on improving students’ cognitive, affective, and psychomotor learning outcomes. Student-centered learning models are proven to be more effective than conventional learning approaches. Therefore, the implementation of varied and innovative PJOK learning models is essential to enhance the quality of learning and learning outcomes in elementary schools.

Abstract

This Research and Development (R&D) is motivated by a needs analysis through observation and interviews at Banjarsari 2 Public Elementary School, which shows the need for contextual teaching materials for the material "around the house" in grade 1. The objectives of the research are (1) to describe the process of developing environmental-based picture story teaching materials; (2) to assess the feasibility of the product through expert validation; (3) to describe students' responses to the use of teaching materials. The development model adapts Borg & Gall with six core stages: problem identification, design, development, expert validation, revision, and limited trials. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. Validation involved two material experts, two media experts, and two language experts. The validation results showed an average score of 78.18% and were categorized as "Feasible" based on percentage conversion criteria. Limited trials on grade 1 students resulted in an average response score of 92% with the category "Very Good" indicating high acceptance, understanding, and attractiveness. The conclusion is that the environmental-based picture story teaching material on the material around the house is in the appropriate and very good category for use as teaching material on the material around the house for the Indonesian Language subject for grade I.

Abstract

Indonesia's governance system still shows a significant gap between the ideal presidential concept, based on Pancasila, and the reality on the ground where the executive branch dominates everything. Institutions like the Regional Representatives Council (DPD) prove to be weak in controlling regional affairs, while regional autonomy is often hindered by massive cancellations of local regulations and financial imbalances between provinces. This research uses a mixed explanatory sequential approach in 10 selected provinces (period 2018-2024), with primary data from 30 interviews and direct observations combined with additional data from the Central Statistics Agency and the Ministry of Finance. Through panel regression analysis and content analysis, this study reveals crucial facts: the DPD essentially functions only as a rubber stamp for the executive, fund transfers from the center create a financial illusion, and regional autonomy remains merely formal without real substance. From these findings, an asymmetric autonomy model emerges with three core pillars: digital DPD, tiered regional authority hierarchy, and a Pancasila verification mechanism by the Constitutional Court. The proposed recommendations include revising Article 22D of the 1945 Constitution, laws on asymmetric autonomy, and a pilot project in Papua in 2027 to realize more equitable and prosperous democratic governance.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has transformed teachers’ approaches to conducting learning assessments. The transition from conventional to digital assessment requires teachers to master technological tools and develop innovations to ensure that evaluation processes are effective, accurate, and aligned with students’ learning needs. This study aims to analyze teachers’ innovations in technology-based assessment, identify the challenges they face, and examine the strategies implemented to optimize assessment practices at SMAN 1 Pontang. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, using interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings reveal that teachers have utilized various digital platforms such as Google Forms, local CBT systems, LMS platforms, and gamification-based applications. Nevertheless, challenges remain, including limited digital competence, infrastructural issues, technical errors, and pedagogical constraints. The school addresses these challenges through continuous training, infrastructure improvement, digital assessment policies, and collaborative teacher practices. The study concludes that technology-based assessment positively impacts the effectiveness of evaluation but requires systemic support and ongoing competency development.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low level of creative thinking among students in the learning process. This condition can be seen from the students' answers, which are still limited to the contents of the textbook without showing any creative ideas. One of the causes is the lack of teaching materials that can foster creative thinking skills. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effect of using scientific-based worksheets integrated with verses from the Qur'an on students' creative thinking skills. These worksheets are designed to stimulate interest in learning, foster curiosity, and encourage students to think creatively through the connection between learning concepts and Islamic values. The type of research used is experimental research with a Quasi Experimental design of the One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design type. The population and sample in this study consisted of 15 people, namely all fourth-grade students at SDN 09 Simabur, with a sampling technique of total sampling. The research instrument used was an essay test to measure students' creative thinking skills. The results showed that the average pretest score was 53.67, while the average posttest score increased to 89.67. Based on the significance test results, a value of 0.000 < 0.05 was obtained, indicating a significant effect of the use of scientific-based worksheets integrated with verses from the Qur'an on students' creative thinking skills. Thus, it can be concluded that scientific worksheets integrated with verses from the Qur'an are effective in improving the creative thinking skills of fourth-grade students at SDN 09 Simabur.

Abstract

This study investigates the effects of teacher competence, principal leadership, and school infrastructure on teacher performance, with work motivation serving as a mediating variable, in three public junior high schools in Batealit District. A quantitative causal design was applied using total sampling, involving 59 teachers who completed a Likert-scale questionnaire. Data were analyzed through SEM-PLS. All indicators met validity requirements, with loading factors between 0.701 and 0.876 and AVE values above 0.50 for Teacher Competence (0.607), Principal Leadership (0.635), Infrastructure (0.585), Work Motivation (0.614), and Teacher Performance (0.658). Reliability was exceptionally strong, supported by Cronbach’s Alpha values of 0.945–0.988 and Composite Reliability values of 0.950–0.988. The structural model shows that teacher competence (p = 0.183) and infrastructure (p = 0.201) do not directly influence teacher performance, whereas principal leadership has a significant direct impact (p = 0.005). Work motivation significantly affects teacher performance (p = 0.007) and is influenced by teacher competence (p = 0.029), principal leadership (p = 0.009), and infrastructure (p = 0.040). These three variables also demonstrate significant indirect effects on performance through work motivation, with p-values of 0.033, 0.044, and 0.048. The R² values of 0.612 for work motivation and 0.712 for teacher performance, together with a Q² value of 0.888, indicate strong predictive relevance. The study concludes that work motivation is the primary driver of teacher performance, while principal leadership is the most influential factor. Recommendations emphasize enhancing teacher motivation, strengthening competence development, improving leadership effectiveness, and upgrading infrastructure to support better performance.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the results of the analysis of the needs of teachers and students, which indicate that they have not yet been able to develop students' understanding of natural and social phenomena holistically. However, in practice, there are still various obstacles in IPAS learning, especially in fostering students' critical and scientific thinking skills. One of the problems often encountered is the lack of teaching materials that can produce scientific concepts with religious values, particularly from an Islamic perspective. The purpose of this research is to develop a scientific-based Student Worksheet that integrates verses from the Qur'an. The type of this research is Research and Development (R&D) using the 4D model, which includes Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The data collection technique used is the Validity Questionnaire and the Practicality Questionnaire. The results of this study indicate that the LKPD developed based on the results from validators 1, 2, and 3 are categorized as very valid with a total score of 98%, and the results of the teacher practicality test are categorized as very valid with a total score of 100%, while the results of the student practicality test are categorized as very valid with a total score of 99%. Based on this, it can be concluded that the Scientific-Based LKPD integrated with Quranic verses in the IPAS subject for 4th grade elementary school is categorized as valid and practical.

Abstract

The education in Indonesia is currently experiencing enormous problems due to the spread of Covid 19, The Indonesian education paradigm emphasizes holistic development through PAI, but formal learning often over-focuses on theoretical cognitive aspects. This study examines how the Mosque Youth Organization (Remaja Masjid) at SMPN 19 Surabaya bridges this gap. Using a qualitative case study , the research investigates the process of transforming affective experiences into cognitive understanding of PAI material. Findings show Remaja Masjid acts as both a practical facilitator and an incubator for religious leaders. Crucially, the organization generates a positive affective climate where enthusiasm stimulates intellectual curiosity (rasa ingin tahu). This motivation leads to voluntary and deeper cognitive learning of PAI concepts. The organization primarily functions as an accelerator for students already possessing a basic religious foundation, enhancing their existing potential.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the contribution of arm muscle strength and balance to the under-passing ability of volleyball extracurricular students at SMPN 6 Palopo. Using a quantitative correlational approach with a total sample of 32 students, data were collected through a push-up test to assess arm muscle strength, a modified Bass Balance Test to measure balance, and an under-passing test to evaluate technical performance. Descriptive analysis indicated that students’ physical and technical abilities were in the moderate to good category, and normality tests confirmed that all data were normally distributed. The results of the regression analysis showed that arm muscle strength contributed significantly to under-passing ability with a determination coefficient of 94.5%, balance contributed 42.7%, and both variables simultaneously contributed 93.9%. These findings highlight the substantial role of physical components—particularly arm strength and balance—in enhancing under-passing skills. Therefore, coaches and physical education teachers are encouraged to include strength and balance training components in their volleyball training programs to improve students' performance.
