Abstract

The development of digital technology has brought significant changes to various aspects of life, including education. Social media is no longer used solely as a means of communication and entertainment, but has also become an important medium in informal education, particularly for Generation Z. Generation Z is a cohort that has grown up in the digital era and demonstrates a high level of engagement with social media platforms. This study aims to examine the role of social media in the informal education process of Generation Z, particularly in terms of knowledge acquisition, skill development, attitudes, and character formation. This research employs a qualitative approach using a literature review method. Data were collected through an analysis of relevant sources, including books, national and international journal articles, and previous studies related to social media, informal education, and the characteristics of Generation Z. The findings indicate that social media functions as an alternative learning resource that is flexible and easily accessible, a medium for fostering creativity and digital literacy, and a channel for internalizing social values such as tolerance, empathy, and social awareness. However, the use of social media in informal education also presents several challenges, including the spread of misinformation, digital addiction, and the potential emergence of negative behaviors such as cyberbullying and reduced face-to-face social interaction. Therefore, the active involvement of families and communities is essential in providing guidance and strengthening digital literacy so that social media can be utilized wisely and effectively to support the informal education of Generation Z. Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between social behavior and learning outcomes in the Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subject among fifth-grade students of MI Miftahul Falah Banyumanis Jepara in the 2024/2025 academic year. The research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The population as well as the research sample consisted of 26 students, selected using a saturated sampling technique. Data on social behavior were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire covering the dimensions of cooperation, tolerance, empathy, and social communication, while data on IPAS learning outcomes were obtained from students’ report card records. Data analysis included descriptive statistics and Spearman’s rho correlation test. The results showed that students’ social behavior was predominantly in the high and very high categories, whereas IPAS learning outcomes were mainly in the high category. The Spearman’s rho correlation analysis yielded a coefficient of 0.997 with a significance level of p < 0.001, indicating a very strong and statistically significant positive relationship between social behavior and IPAS learning outcomes. These findings suggest that the better the students’ social behavior, the higher the IPAS learning outcomes they achieve. Abstract

Inclusive education requires assessment tools that are appropriate to the characteristics of students with special needs, particularly students with intellectual disabilities. This study aimed to develop a summative assessment book that is valid, practical, and effective in improving the learning outcomes of students with special needs in Grade II at SDN 24 Banda Aceh. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which consists of the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The research subjects were Grade II students with intellectual disabilities at SDN 24 Banda Aceh. Data were collected using expert validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, and learning outcome tests. The results indicated that the developed summative assessment book was categorized as highly valid, highly practical, and effective in improving students’ learning outcomes. Therefore, the summative assessment book is feasible for use as an evaluation tool for students with intellectual disabilities in inclusive elementary schools. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the forms of social conflict contained in the novel "Plan Besar untuk Mati dengan Tenang" by Wisnu Suryaning Adji. The method applied in this study is content analysis. The researcher acts as the main instrument supported by research aids. The research data are in the form of quotations sourced from the novel "Plan Besar untuk Mati dengan Tenang". Data collection was carried out through documentation techniques or literature studies, while testing the validity of the data used source triangulation techniques. The results of the study show the existence of two forms of social conflict, namely (1) family conflict in social roles characterized by differences of opinion among family members and (2) conflict between social groups shown through conflicting views within a group. Based on the results of data processing, 10 data were found that reflect both forms of conflict, with details of 5 data including family conflict in social roles and 5 other data including conflict between social groups.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of early childhood education as the foundation for children’s cognitive, social-emotional, language, and physical development during the golden age period. A scientific approach is considered relevant in early childhood learning because it emphasizes observing, questioning, experimenting, reasoning, and communicating in constructing knowledge through direct experiences. However, its implementation in early childhood education institutions still faces several challenges, including limited facilities, an imbalance between the number of teachers and students, and varying levels of teachers’ understanding of the approach. This research aims to analyze the implementation of the scientific approach in early childhood learning at PAUD Amrina Sungai Pinang and to identify its supporting and inhibiting factors. The study employed a qualitative descriptive method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the scientific approach has been implemented through exploratory activities such as observation, simple experiments, discussions, and presentations, although it has not yet been fully optimized. Supporting factors include teachers’ commitment and institutional support, while inhibiting factors involve limited facilities, time constraints, and the limited number of educators. Efforts to overcome these challenges include utilizing the surrounding environment as a learning resource and enhancing teachers’ creativity in designing learning activities. The study concludes that the scientific approach has significant potential to improve the quality of early childhood learning when supported by adequate teacher competence and facilities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi keefektifan model pembelajaran Game Based Learning (GBL) berbantuan Media Smart Snake Ladder dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa kelas IV di SD Negeri Gedanganak 03. Masalah utama yang diidentifikasi adalah rendahnya pemahaman konsep di kalangan siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, dengan populasi seluruh siswa kelas IV dan sampel diambil dari kelas IVA sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan kelas IVB sebagai kelompok kontrol. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji statistik, termasuk uji normalitas, homogenitas, independent sample t-test, dan regresi linear. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara pemahaman konsep siswa di kelas eksperimen dan kontrol, dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05; (2) terdapat pengaruh positif yang signifikan dari penggunaan GBL berbantuan Media Smart Snake Ladder terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa, dengan R Square = 0,820 yang menunjukkan kontribusi sebesar 82%; (3) penerapan model pembelajaran ini secara signifikan meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa. Kesimpulannya, model pembelajaran GBL berbantuan Media Smart Snake Ladder terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to systematically examine the implementation of deep learning in elementary schools through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The review focuses on five main aspects: the concepts and principles of deep learning, supporting instructional models and strategies, the role of teachers in pedagogical practice, the impacts of deep learning along with the assessment approaches employed, and implementation challenges as well as existing research gaps. The literature search was conducted using reputable academic databases, with publications limited to the last five years to ensure the relevance of findings to contemporary curriculum developments and educational practices. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis to identify key patterns and trends across the reviewed studies. The findings indicate that deep learning in elementary education is consistently understood as a pedagogical approach that emphasizes conceptual understanding, active student engagement, meaningful reflection, and the development of higher-order thinking skills. The depth of learning is found to be more strongly influenced by teachers’ pedagogical design, the quality of learning interactions, and the use of continuous formative assessment than by the adoption of specific instructional models or technologies. However, most existing studies remain short-term in nature and are predominantly conducted in urban school contexts. Therefore, further longitudinal and context-sensitive research, particularly in rural areas, is needed to strengthen the sustainability of deep learning implementation in elementary schools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini didasari oleh pentingnya pembelajaran seni musik, khususnya pembelajaran bernyanyi paduan suara. Lagu Mars dan Hymne menjadi materi yang esensial karena berfungsi sebagai media pembentukan karakter, dan kekompakan vokal. Meskipun demikian, urgensi penelitian ini terletak pada kondisi proses pembelajaran bernyanyi paduan suara di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Denpasar yang masih cenderung bersifat konvensional, kurang terstruktur, dan belum mampu menjamin pemerataan kualitas vokal peserta didik. Kondisi ini berpotensi menghambat pencapaian tujuan pembelajaran paduan suara sehingga diterapkan metode drill, yang menekankan latihan terarah, dan konsistensi latihan untuk meningkatkan kualitas suara kelompok. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mendeskripsikan implementasi metode drill dalam pembelajaran bernyanyi paduan suara, (2) menguji efektivitas metode drill terhadap peningkatan keterampilan vokal peserta didik, dan (3) mengidentifikasi faktor pendukung serta penghambat dalam penerapannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan mixed methods, dengan data kualitatif untuk menggambarkan proses pembelajaran dan data kuantitatif untuk mengukur peningkatan keterampilan bernyanyi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode drill efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan bernyanyi paduan suara. Rata-rata nilai peserta didik meningkat dari 71,46 pada pre-test menjadi 83,58 pada post-test, dengan hasil uji-t menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan (p < 0,05) yang berarti terdapat peningkatan yang nyata pada kualitas bernyanyi paduan suara setelah penerapan drill. Selain itu, penerapan metode drill juga berdampak positif terhadap kekompakan kelompok berdasarkan pengorganisasian peserta didik melalui empat formasi vokal yakni sopran, alto, tenor, dan bass untuk memaksimalkan penyeragaman warna suara. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi praktis bagi guru seni budaya dalam mengembangkan strategi pembelajaran paduan suara yang lebih efektif serta menjadi rujukan bagi penelitian lanjutan di bidang pendidikan seni musik.

Abstract

This article explores the implementation of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) principles from the perspective of Islamic business ethics. The study emphasizes how the foundational values of Islam—such as justice, accountability, trust (amanah), transparency, and responsibility—align with modern GCG frameworks. Using a qualitative literature study approach, this article examines academic journals, books, and regulatory documents that discuss intersections between Islamic ethics and corporate governance practices. The findings indicate that Islamic ethical principles substantially reinforce the integrity and effectiveness of GCG implementation in organizations, especially those operating within Islamic economic frameworks.

Abstract

This study examines how individuals express themselves through the disclosure of previously suppressed emotions in response to specific situations. The research was conducted on the Curhat Bang Denny Sumargo podcast channel, which featured Serly Tjoanda, the Governor of North Maluku, in an episode titled "Dare to Reveal! Suspected Mastermind of Illegal Mining." In the episode, Serly Tjoanda reveals various events related to alleged illegal mining after a long silence since her husband's death. This research is important for understanding an individual's psychological state in facing certain situations through John Searle's pragmatics, with a focus on expressive speech acts. This study aims to analyze the forms, functions, and types of expressive speech acts dominant in the podcast episode. The research data consists of podcast conversation transcripts, while secondary data were obtained from books, journals, scientific articles, and previous research related to speech acts. The results show seven forms of expressive speech acts, with a total of 20 data points: expressions of gratitude (2), apologies (2), happiness (2), praise (3), complaints (6), congratulations (2), and expressions of sadness (3).
