Abstract

This study aims to examine the application of the storytelling method in Islamic History learning to increase student enthusiasm and memory at MTsN 2 Bungo Regency. The background of this study stems from the low interest of students in Islamic History lessons, which are often delivered monotonously, resulting in students being less active and having difficulty remembering the material. The storytelling method is considered capable of creating an interactive and meaningful learning atmosphere through the power of stories in conveying historical and religious values. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method. The research subjects were eighth-grade students, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted thematically with a focus on increasing student enthusiasm and memory. The results of the study show that the application of storytelling has a positive impact on student learning motivation. Stories about Islamic figures delivered expressively are able to attract attention and build emotional involvement among students, making it easier for them to remember historical events. In conclusion, the storytelling method has been proven effective in improving the quality of Islamic History learning, especially in terms of student involvement and memory retention

Abstract

This study is motivated by the important role of parenting styles in shaping students’ personality, attitudes, and behavior, which in turn influence the need for guidance and counseling services at school. The purpose of this research is to describe the profile of students’ parenting styles at SMAN 1 Bonjol, including authoritarian, democratic, and permissive parenting styles, and to examine their implications for guidance and counseling services. This study employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive research design. The research subjects were 175 students of Grade XI Phase F at SMAN 1 Bonjol, selected through simple random sampling from a population of 313 students. The instrument used was a Likert-scale questionnaire consisting of 44 valid and reliable statements. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics in the form of percentages. The results showed that the overall profile of parenting styles was in the moderately high category, with a percentage of 90.86%, indicating variations in the application of democratic, permissive, and authoritarian parenting styles. The implication of these findings highlights the need for school counselors to develop services focused on strengthening positive communication between parents and students, providing information services and psychoeducation on conducive parenting styles, and fostering collaboration between schools and parents to support students’ optimal development.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using a snakes and ladders game media assisted by QR Code Canva Edu on third-grade elementary school students’ understanding of plane geometry concepts. The background of this study is based on students’ low level of understanding of plane geometry material due to the learning process being conducted in a one-way manner, with teachers delivering material primarily through printed learning resources such as textbooks and student worksheets as the main references. The snakes and ladders game media is a board game-based learning tool designed with squares containing learning materials and activities to help students understand plane geometry concepts in a concrete and enjoyable way. The integration of QR Codes in the snakes and ladders media functions to provide access to interactive digital content, such as animated instructional videos, thereby enriching the learning experience and increasing student engagement. This research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research subjects were third-grade students of SDN Kepuhkiriman 1, consisting of 50 students, with 25 students in the experimental group and 25 students in the control group. Data were collected using pretest and posttest instruments that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was conducted using normality testing, homogeneity testing, and hypothesis testing through an independent samples t-test. The results of the study indicate that there is a difference between the posttest scores of the experimental group and the control group. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of snakes and ladders game media assisted by QR Code Canva Edu has a significant effect on third-grade elementary school students’ understanding of plane geometry concepts.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using a QR Code-Based Multiplication Wheel media on the understanding of multiplication concepts among third-grade students at SDN Kepuhkiriman 1. The background of this research is based on students’ low understanding of multiplication, as learning activities tend to emphasize memorization rather than comprehension of multiplication as repeated addition. The QR Code-Based Multiplication Wheel is a manipulative learning medium in the form of a rotating wheel containing multiplication numbers and equipped with QR codes linked to interactive digital content, such as explanatory videos, animations, and practice exercises. This media is designed to help students understand multiplication concepts concretely through visual, kinesthetic, and digital activities. This research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental design with a Posttest-Only Control Group Design model. The research subjects consisted of two classes: class III A as the experimental group and class III B as the control group, each consisting of 25 students. Data collection was conducted through a learning achievement test in the form of multiplication concept understanding questions administered after the treatment (posttest). The data were analyzed using an independent sample t-test with the assistance of the latest version of SPSS software. The results showed a significant difference between the average posttest scores of the experimental group and the control group, with the experimental group achieving higher scores. The Sig. (2-tailed) value was less than 0.05, indicating that the QR Code-Based Multiplication Wheel media has a positive and significant effect on improving students’ understanding of multiplication concepts. This media can also serve as an innovative alternative for teachers in developing more effective and engaging mathematics learning.

Abstract

Basic education plays an important role in shaping students' abilities, attitudes, and characters through improving learning achievement. Learning achievement is influenced by various internal factors, especially learning interests and habits. This study aims to determine the effect of learning interests on Indonesian language learning achievement, the effect of learning habits on Indonesian language learning achievement, and the simultaneous influence of both on student learning achievement. The study used a quantitative approach with a causal associative method. The study population was all 27 fifth-grade students of SDIT Ahmad Yani, using a saturated sampling technique. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires to measure learning interests and habits and tests to measure student learning achievement. Data were analyzed using prerequisite tests, descriptive analysis, normality tests, and multiple regression tests. The results of the study showed a positive and significant influence between learning interests on student learning achievement, a positive and significant influence of learning habits on student learning achievement, and a positive and significant influence of interest and learning habits together on Indonesian language learning achievement of fifth-grade students of SDIT Ahmad Yani in the 2025/2026 academic year. Thus, it can be concluded that increasing learning interests and habits makes a real contribution to optimally improving student learning achievement. These results form the basis for teachers to design effective and sustainable learning.

Abstract

The background of this research is the low ability of students to connect concepts with each other and to apply those concepts in problem-solving, as well as to use them in various contexts. This study aims to determine the effect of the Mind Mapping learning method on students' conceptual understanding abilities. This research is experimental, using a design consisting of a PreTest-PostTest Control Group Design. The population in this study is all seventh-grade students of MTs LKMD Giti for the 2025/2026 academic year. The sample in this study involved two classes, namely class VIIa (18 students), which was the experimental class given the Mind Mapping learning method treatment on Mathematical Concept abilities, and class VIIb (18 students), which was the control class that did not receive treatment. The sampling technique used in this study was total sampling. Data collection techniques used tests, observations, and documentation. Based on the research results, the Mind Mapping learning method affects the mathematical concept comprehension ability of seventh-grade students at MTs LKMD Giti. This is evident from the results of the Independent Sample T-Test, which showed a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 < 0.05. The effect size calculation using Cohen’s d of 1.774 indicates that the impact of the Mind Mapping method is in the large category.

Abstract

Craft learning in elementary schools is not only oriented toward the development of students’ motor skills and creativity, but also functions as a medium for cultural learning from the perspective of educational anthropology. This article aims to examine craft learning as a cultural process that represents the values, symbols and social practices of local communities within the educational context.This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach through a literature review and analysis of craft learning practices in elementary schools. The findings indicate that craft learning plays a role as a medium for cultural transmission, the strengthening of local identity, and the internalization of social and cultural values among students. Based on these findings, craft learning has a strategic role in integrating education and culture, as well as supporting social transformation in elementary schools.

Abstract

Character education at the elementary school level plays a strategic role in shaping students’ social attitudes and behaviors from an early age. In the context of Aceh, character education cannot be separated from the internalization of Islamic adab integrated with local culture. This study aims to analyze the internalization of Islamic adab based on Acehnese culture in the formation of elementary school students’ social character. This research employs a qualitative approach with a literature study design by analyzing various scholarly journal articles, research findings, and policy documents relevant to Islamic character education, Acehnese culture, and elementary education. The results indicate that the internalization of Islamic adab based on Acehnese culture is implemented through the integration of Islamic moral values into the curriculum, the habituation of Islamic school culture, teachers’ role modeling, and the utilization of Acehnese local wisdom such as narit maja as a medium for moral value inculcation. This internalization process contributes positively to the development of students’ social character, including politeness, social care, cooperation, and responsibility. However, the implementation of character education still faces challenges, such as variations in teachers’ competencies, limited learning resources based on local culture, and a lack of consistency in value application within the family environment. This study concludes that the internalization of Islamic adab based on Acehnese culture is a relevant and effective approach to shaping elementary school students’ social character and requires reinforcement through collaboration among schools, families, and communities to ensure sustainability.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to describe the implementation of Game-Based Learning (GBL) using interactive PowerPoint media to enhance the cognitive abilities of early childhood learners at TK Bunga Bangsa, Desa Temenggung, Kecamatan Limun, Kabupaten Sarolangun. The main problem addressed is the limited use of interactive digital media, which results in low learning motivation and engagement. A qualitative descriptive method was applied, with data collected through observations, interviews, and documentation. The results show that PowerPoint-based GBL creates a more engaging learning atmosphere through animations, colorful visuals, sound effects, and simple quiz games. Children demonstrated increased motivation, focus, participation, and conceptual understanding during learning activities. Teachers reported that this approach facilitated lesson delivery, encouraged creativity, and supported the development of critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Challenges included limited technological facilities, varying levels of teachers’ digital competence, and the need for further training to develop more innovative media. Overall, PowerPoint-based GBL is proven effective in supporting cognitive development, increasing student engagement, and enriching learning experiences in early childhood education settings. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan implementasi Game Based Learning (GBL) menggunakan PowerPoint interaktif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif anak usia dini di TK Bunga Bangsa Desa Temenggung, Kecamatan Limun, Kabupaten Sarolangun. Permasalahan utama penelitian adalah rendahnya penggunaan media digital interaktif dalam pembelajaran, sehingga motivasi dan keterlibatan anak kurang optimal. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan GBL berbasis PowerPoint menciptakan suasana belajar yang lebih menarik dan menyenangkan melalui animasi, visual berwarna, suara, dan permainan kuis sederhana. Anak menunjukkan peningkatan motivasi, fokus, partisipasi aktif, serta pemahaman konsep selama kegiatan berlangsung. Guru menyatakan bahwa media ini mempermudah penyampaian materi, mendorong kreativitas, dan menumbuhkan kemampuan berpikir kritis serta pemecahan masalah pada anak. Kendala yang ditemukan meliputi keterbatasan fasilitas teknologi, perbedaan kemampuan digital guru, dan kebutuhan pelatihan lanjutan untuk pengembangan media yang lebih inovatif. Secara keseluruhan, GBL berbasis PowerPoint terbukti efektif mendukung perkembangan kognitif, meningkatkan keterlibatan anak, dan memperkaya pengalaman belajar di lingkungan PAUD. Abstract

This research discusses the role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in dealing with digital bullying among teenagers in private Madrasah Aliyah. Digital bullying is a social problem that is becoming increasingly prominent along with the intensity of digital media use among teenagers. This research aims to analyze the forms of digital bullying that occur as well as the role and strategies of PAI teachers in preventing and handling it. This research uses a qualitative approach with the type of field research. The research results show that PAI teachers have a strategic role through internalizing moral values in learning, developing students' morals, as well as persuasive and educational approaches in handling digital bullying cases. This research contributes to the development of Islamic Religious Education studies that are responsive to the challenges of the digital era, especially in the context of secondary education.
