Abstract

The problem addressed in this study was the low level of mathematical knowledge among fifth-grade elementary school students. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) cooperative learning model in improving students’ mathematical knowledge. A quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group design was employed. The population consisted of 46 students. Saturated sampling was applied, with 22 students from class V B assigned to the experimental group and 24 students from class V A assigned to the control group. Data were collected using pretests and posttests, as well as through observation. The data were analyzed using the N-gain test. The results indicated that the implementation of the STAD cooperative learning model was effective in improving the mathematical knowledge of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 3 Metro Pusat.

Abstract

This study aims to critically compare the conceptualization of ‘adab’ in Islamic education according to Syed Muhammad Naquib al-Attas and M. Amin Abdullah. Using a qualitative approach with critical literature study design, this research analyzes the epistemological, methodological, and practical differences between the two thinkers. The results show that al-Attas positions ‘adab’ as a metaphysical-cosmological foundation that restores the hierarchical order of knowledge and existence, while Abdullah reconstructs ‘adab’ as an integrative-interconnective ethics capable of dialoguing with plural and fragmented contemporary knowledge. Although both place ‘adab’ as the heart of transformative education, their approaches differ in source of authority, methodology, and orientation. This study offers a dialectical synthesis of both paradigms, proposing ‘adab’ as an epistemic compass in the digital era, a foundation for inclusive identity, and holistic ecological ethics. The research concludes that the reactualization of ‘adab’ requires a combination of strong metaphysical foundations (al-Attas) and flexible contextual methodologies (Abdullah) to address contemporary challenges without losing Islamic identity. Abstract

This research is motivated by the problem of low student interest in learning Islamic Religious Education and Character Building, especially in the aspect of learning interest because learning is still dominated by conventional methods, monotonous learning models and the use of less varied learning media. A learning model is needed that can help students more easily understand the material and encourage cooperation between each other. One way that can be done to overcome obstacles in the learning process and increase student interest in learning is by implementing the right learning approach. A comprehensive and integrated approach is key in efforts to improve the quality of learning. One learning model that can be applied is PACE (Project Activity Cooperative Exercise). The study used a quantitative approach with a Quasi-Experimental Design type. The sample amounted to 60 students selected through a simple random sampling technique. Data were collected using a Likert scale questionnaire to measure Learning Interest, then analyzed with a regression test. The results of the study showed that the Project Activity Cooperative Exercise (PACE) learning model was able to increase student interest in learning through active involvement in projects, activities, cooperation, and exercises. This model is considered relevant because it not only emphasizes conceptual understanding but also fosters students' enjoyment, attention, and interest in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) and Character Education (Culture).

Abstract

Teacher conflict is an inevitable phenomenon in the dynamics of school organizations, arising from differences in perceptions, interests, communication patterns, and work systems. If not managed properly, conflict may negatively affect teacher performance, professional relationships, and the overall school climate. This study aims to examine teacher conflict management from the perspective of Islamic leadership ethics as an ethical and constructive approach to conflict resolution in educational settings. By examining academic journal articles and pertinent literature released between 2024 and 2025, this study uses a qualitative approach and a library research methodology. Data were analyzed using content analysis to identify key concepts, principles, and strategies of conflict management within Islamic leadership. The findings indicate that Islamic leadership ethics grounded in the values of justice, consultation (shūrā), patience, honesty, and trustworthiness play a significant role in managing teacher conflict effectively. Conflict management based on Islamic leadership ethics is not merely oriented toward problem resolution but also toward improving interpersonal relationships and fostering moral development within the school community. Therefore, the implementation of ethically grounded Islamic leadership contributes to creating a harmonious school environment, enhancing teacher professionalism, and supporting sustainable improvement in educational quality.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the importance of evaluating student learning outcomes in education, as well as the fact that some teachers are still unable to analyze learning and assessment optimally, particularly in terms of understanding, developing, and analyzing test items that are not yet fully in line with assessment principles, mechanisms, and procedures. This study aims to evaluate and analyze the quality of daily test questions for the subject of Pancasila and Civics Education at the elementary school level. The quality of the questions is reviewed in terms of validity, reliability, discriminating power, level of difficulty, and distractors. This study is a descriptive study. The research was conducted at MI Ma'arif Bego in the sixth grade with 30 students. Data collection was carried out using documentation techniques, which included assessment sheets, answer keys, and student answer sheets. There were 30 students participating in the research. The data obtained was then analyzed using Item and Analysis software version 4.3. The results of the study show that the test questions are 100% valid, the reliability of the questions is high, the discriminating power of the questions is good,  the difficulty level of the questions is 75% categorized as moderate, 25% categorized as difficult, and there are 5 questions with one of the options not functioning, so they need to be revised. Improvement measures can focus on questions that need revision and on refining distractors to optimize question quality.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the semiotic signs in the Mappadekko ritual tounderstand how they reflect the sacred values and cultural identity of the BugisBone community. Furthermore, it identifies the process of liturgical codification asa strategy for preserving the Mappadekko ritual and the resilience of the Torilangilanguage amidst modernization. The research also measures the level ofcommunity acceptance towards the adaptation of the Mappadekko tradition in thedigital era. A mixed-method (Sequential Exploratory) design was employed, withdata collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and questionnaires inPationgi Village, Bone Regency. The findings reveal that the Mappadekko ritual isa complex and structured semiotic system where every element functions as ameaningful sign. The Torilangi language, used in prayers and mantras with fixedpronunciation patterns, inherently signifies sacredness and spiritual connection.Liturgical codification, in both oral and practical forms, proves to be an effectivestrategy for maintaining the resilience of the Torilangi language. The community ofPationgi Village shows a high level of acceptance and positive views towardsadapting the Mappadekko tradition in the digital era, particularly for promotion andeducation, while emphasizing the importance of maintaining its sacred essence.

Abstract

The development of educational technology requires innovative learning media that can enhance students’ learning independence, particularly in elementary mathematics learning. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of digital comic media in improving learning independence among fifth-grade students at SD Islam Sultan Agung 4 Semarang. A quantitative experimental method with a One Group Pretest–Posttest Design was employed. The research subjects consisted of all fifth-grade students. Data were collected using a learning independence questionnaire administered before and after the implementation of digital comic media. Data analysis involved descriptive statistics and N-Gain analysis to determine the effectiveness of the media. The results showed an improvement in students’ learning independence after the use of digital comic media, indicated by higher posttest scores compared to pretest scores. The average N-Gain score was 0.485, categorized as moderate, indicating that digital comic media is sufficiently effective in enhancing students’ learning independence. Digital comics present learning materials through visual and narrative elements that support students in managing their learning processes more independently. Therefore, digital comic media can be considered an effective alternative learning medium for improving learning independence in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study analyzes the Islamic education system in Andalusia as a model of scholarship and intellectual heritage that played a significant role in the advancement of Islamic civilization and the Western world during the classical period. This study aims to explain the structure of the education system, the characteristics of the scientific model, and the intellectual contribution of Andalusia to the development of the global scientific tradition. The study uses a qualitative method with a historical descriptive approach through literature study that utilizes secondary data in the form of books, scientific articles, and historical sources. Then, descriptive analytical analysis is carried out to understand the dynamics of education within the socio political and cultural context. The research findings indicate that the Andalusian education system emerged from a socio-political transformation that fostered government stability, open access to knowledge, and integration between religious and rational knowledge through educational institutions such as mosques, universities, scholarly assemblies, and large libraries. The research findings confirm that the support of the rulers, an organized institutional structure, an integrative curriculum, and scientific traditions such as the rihlah and the ijaza system gave birth to multidisciplinary scholars and made Cordoba a center of world civilization. Furthermore, Andalusian education served as a bridge for the transfer of knowledge from the Islamic world to Europe through the translation of Arabic scientific works. The implications of the research indicate that the Andalusian integrative education model has conceptual relevance as a reference for the development of contemporary Islamic education that is inclusive, holistic, and oriented towards the development of knowledge.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the use of Digital Comics as a learning medium in Integrated Science (IPAS) on elementary students’ Scientific Literacy. The research employed a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design involving 50 fifth-grade students of SD Negeri 2 Kota Gajah, divided into an experimental and a control class. The experimental class used digital comics, while the control class received conventional instruction. Data were collected through a valid and reliable Scientific Literacy test and analyzed using N-Gain. The results showed that the experimental class achieved higher improvement, with an average N-Gain of 0.48 (medium category), compared to the control class, which had 0.21 (low category) across all indicators. Thus, Digital Comics proved effective in enhancing Scientific Literacy in accordance with the Independent Curriculum. Keywords: digital comics, IPAS, scientific literacy,elementary school

Abstract

This study aims to develop and test the feasibility and effectiveness of computational chemistry-based inquiry learning media on Reaction Rate material at SMAN 14 Medan. The study used the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects were 29 grade XI students. The product was validated by media experts and material experts, with feasibility results of 92.77% and 93.64% in the very feasible category. Student responses showed an average percentage of 86% in the very good category, indicating high acceptance and interest in the media. Effectiveness tests through pretest and posttest showed an increase in the average value from 45.86 to 85.51, and an N-Gain value of 70.16% (high category). The results of the study prove that the developed learning media is feasible, practical, and effective in improving students' chemistry learning outcomes on Reaction Rate material
