Abstract

This study concerns the foundation of Sufi tenet developed by Syekh Amran Waly and discovers the communities? response to the tenet integration, the Study Council of Sufism Tawheed (MPTT) and Rateb Siribee (One-Thousand Zikr), within the northern and eastern Aceh, Indonesia. Qualitative approach was implemented as the observation, in-depth interviews and documentation studies were due to collect the data. The tenet was based on the Sufism styles developed by Syekh Abdul Karim al-Jili, which was ever considered heretical. The tenet integrations aim to restore the previous grandeur of Acehnese people by reconstructing the Sufism in accordance with the current conditions. However, some considered that those could act as a means of practicing Sufism, educate people and re-establish the Sufism glory in the past. Meanwhile, the others assumed that the teachings developed were deviant since those contain the style of Ibn Arabi and al-Jili Sufism, with the concept of Wahdah al-Wujud (Unity of Existence), which is dissimilar with the Sufism concept, Wahdah asy-Syuhud (Unity of Appearance), spread by the tenet developer?s father, Syekh Abuya Muda Waly al-Khalidy.

Abstract

This research studied the City Government’s endeavor of Banda Aceh to make the city as a civilized city model. Describing the efforts and constraints faced by the government, revealing responses of local citizens, and defining the present conditions of the city became the objective. A qualitative approach covering field observations, documents, and interviews, was applied and followed by data reduction, data display, and concluding. By involving related stakeholders, the new government duo headed by Aminullah Usman and Zainal Arifin has extended the Medium-term Development Plan to realize anew Long-term Development, Land Use, and Area Plan. Nevertheless, a lack of participation in the implementation of sharia appeared, less than optimal governance systems and uneven economic empowerment. Those generated varied responses from the lower, middle, and upper-class citizens. Therefore, to bring the glory of Banda Aceh, the duo has launched the concept of Banda Aceh the Brilliant City.

Abstract

The background of this study is to see how the Islamic education in  Sri Ratu Tajul Alam Safiatuddin’s period, at that time the kingdom of Aceh Darussalam peak of its glory (Century XVII), it was visited by many scholars (Ulama and the Poet), foreign and domestic. Among those who came, there are some scholars who stayed in Aceh and return to his homeland as well. While in Aceh, they became a teacher, especially in the science of religion and the author of books on various branches of science. Since the number of teachers and authors who live in Aceh make Aceh as "Qibla" the study of Islam and other sciences in the archipelago at that time. The purpose of this study was to determine how the system of Islamic education in the XVII century (1050-1086 H = 1641-1675 AD), the progress and the development of Islamic education in Aceh during the reign of Sri Ratu Tajul Alam Safiatuddin and compliance with the current context. Data from this study were obtained through the collection of a variety of references and relevant sources, then in their analysis authors use literature review, the results of the processing of these data are concluded that the Islamic Education In Sri Ratu  Tajul Alam Safiatuddin’s period was very advanced, because he encouraged the importance of education and science when he lead, at that time science and education in Aceh were developed so well, the literature of Malay-Aceh was very well-known to all over the world.

Abstract

This study concerns the process of resolving the Aceh’s conflict and the role of one of the leaders in Aceh's peace, Farid Husain. The purpose of this study is to examine and to discuss the history of the resolution of the Aceh’s conflict, and the role of Farid Husain in Aceh peace In collecting the data, this study uses historical and descriptive analytical methods. The method of data collection is through three methods, namely observation, interview and documentation study. The results showed that during the conflict in Aceh, very much effort was made by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia to resolve the Aceh’s conflict, starting from the reigns of President Soekarno, Suharto, BJ, Habibie, Abdurrahman Wahid, Megawati Soekarno Putri, to President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono's Government and Vice President M. Jusuf Kalla who became the solution to the peaceful conflict in Aceh through intensive direct dialogue between facilitated by the Crisis Management Initiative (CMI). Farid Husain was one of the people involved in the Aceh peace process who played a role in opening communication with GAM leaders and working behind the scenes to supply information about Aceh and GAM in the interests of the Indonesian peace team in resolving the Aceh conflict through peaceful means. The results of the study also found that the Aceh peace process was collectively carried out by various parties, not involving one actor, one of which was Farid Husain who played the role of To See The Actor, also involving various other figures including the Acehnese leaders themselves.

Abstract

Public Relations (PR) is one of the management functions in supporting the development and maintenance of common lines between the organization and its publics regarding the strategy, cooperation and marketing of an organization so that it is of high quality and competitive. This study aims to determine the public relations strategy in building the competitiveness and quality of education at universities in Aceh. The object of this research was conducted at one of the Universities in South West Aceh, namely STAIN Teungku Dirundeng Meulaboh, with research subjects including the Chair, Deputy Chair, Head of AUAK Section, Head of Sub Division of AUK, and Public Relations Officer. Research data collection techniques are carried out in 3 ways, namely: 1) observation; 2) questionnaire; 3) in-depth interviews; and 4) documentation study, while data analysis used 4 stages, namely: 1) data reduction; 2) data display; 3) verification; 4) and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of the study, it was found that: First, in carrying out building competitiveness and quality of education, STAIN Teungku Dirundeng Meulaboh has also compiled a Vision and Mission of Public Relations/Public Relations with the aim of raising the image of STAIN Teungku Dirundeng in the eyes of the community, and formulating a plan (plan ) public relations in the form of work programs and activities involving all sections of Public Relations to develop programs referring to the Vision, Mission, Goals and Objectives of STAIN Teungku Dirundeng Meulaboh. Second, STAIN Teungku Dirundeng Meulaboh has implemented a public relations strategy in building the competitiveness and quality of education in Aceh in the form of programs and activities including the following: 1) Media and Inter-Institutional Relations; 2) Internal Relations; and 3) Media Publication and Production. The implementation of the program is also carried out based on the annual public relations plan and a fixed schedule plan for STAIN Teungku Dirundeng which contains activities that will be carried out every week, month and year on a regular basis.

Abstract

AbstractCitizen growth will cause the increasing of amount trip due to fullfil the needs. School is a place that students go to, to get the education. Those activities can cause human movements and further can cause traffic jam if there are no proper configurations. The main aim of this study is to know the potential trip generation that caused by high schools in Bandar Lampung, to analize factor that affected by student movements and make the trip generation that caused by school’s function in Bandar Lampung. The main aim of this study is to know the potential trip generation that caused by high schools in Bandar Lampung, to analize factor that affected by student movements and make the trip generation that caused by school’s function in Bandar Lampung.The data were drawn from the responses of quesionaire that given to students of 4 high schools in bandar lampung and itsrelationship between transportation modes, vehicles ownership and pocket money. The data analysis is using category analysis and comparison descriptive. Trip generation from the category analysis counts from kepemilikan kendaraan, pemilihan moda dan besaran uang saku as one of factor that affected. The results of the category analysis obtained the total movement of students from the four schools that have been studied is 1259 movementsKeywords: high school students, trip generation, category analysis. AbstrakPertumbuhan penduduk akan mengakibatkan meningkatnya jumlah perjalanan guna memenuhi berbagai kebutuhan. Sekolah merupakan tempat tujuan aktivitas pelajar untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pendidikan. Aktivitas tersebut dapat menyebabkan perpindahan manusia dalam satu waktu dan kemudian hari dapat menimbulkan masalah seperti kemacetan apabila tidak dilakukan pengaturan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui potensi bangkitan dan tarikan perjalanan yang ditimbulkan dari dan oleh sekolah menengah atas di Bandar Lampung, menganalisis faktor yang mempengaruhi pergerakan pelajar dan membuat model bangkitan yang diakibatkan fungsi sekolah di Bandar Lampung. Pengambilan data dilakuan dengan pembagian kuesioer kepada pelajar di empat sekolah yang telah ditentukan. Pertanyaan-pertanyaan yang diajukan mengenai asal tujuan perjalanan, moda transportasi, kepemilikan kendaraan serta uang saku. Kemudian dilakukan analisis data yaitu analisis kategori dan desktiptif komparatif Model bangkitan yang diperoleh dari hasil analisis kategori dihitung dengan kepemilikan kendaraan, pemilihan moda, dan besaran uang saku sebagai faktor yang mempengaruhinya. Hasil dari analisi kategori didapatkan pergerakan total pelajar dari keempat sekolah yang telah diteliti adalah sebesar 1259 pergerakan. Kata kunci : pelajar SMA, model bangkitan, analisa kategori.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to investigate the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of educational quality improvement program. This study employs descriptive method with qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation study. Study participants are School’s Principal, Vice Principal, Chairman MGMPs, committees and supervisors. The results suggest that: 1) Planning for quality improvement program is designed by the school principal in accordance with the vision and mission of the school. 2) Implementation of planning for quality improvement program is carried out by assigning curricular activities, giving supports and motivation for teachers who continue their education to a higher level, strengthening the UAS and UAN system, inviting good speakers, holding regular meetings, and empowering school committee. 3) Monitoring the quality improvement program is under-taken by the school’s principal for individual teacher at the beginning and end of the semester to determine the level of achievement of the curriculum applied. 4) Evaluation of educational quality improvement program is performed by the principal and vice principal on annual, monthly and semester bases which covers both internal and external evaluations.Keywords: Strategy, Quality Improvement, and Education Abstrak: Peningkatan mutu pendidikan merupakan suatu keharusan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan sekolah dan masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: perencanaan, implementasi, pengawasan dan evaluasi program peningkatan mutu pendidikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data: observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian adalah Kepala Sekolah, Wakil Kepala Sekolah, Ketua MGMP, Komite Sekolah dan Pengawas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Perencanaan peningkatan mutu pendidikan dilaksanakan oleh Kepala Sekolah dengan menyusun program sekolah sesuai dengan visi dan misi sekolah. (2) Implementasi program peningkatan mutu dilakukan dengan melaksanakan program sekolah yang telah direncanakan seperti: pemberian tugas dalam kegiatan kurikuler dan kokurikuler, memberi dukungan dan motivasi bagi guru yang melanjutkan pendidikan ke jenjang yang lebih tinggi, pemantapan UAS dan UAN, mendatangkan narasumber, mengadakan rapat rutin, serta memberdayakan Komite Sekolah (3) Pengawasan program peningkatan mutu pendidikan dilaksanakan oleh Kepala Sekolah pada personil pada awal dan akhir semester untuk mengetahui tingkat ketercapaian kurikulum yang diterapkan. (4) Evaluasi program peningkatan mutu pendidikan dilakukan oleh Kepala Sekolah dan Wakil Kepala Sekolah setiap tahun, namun juga dilakukan secara bulanan dan semester. mencakup evaluasi internal dan evaluasi eksternal.Kata kunci: Strategi, Peningkatan Mutu,  dan  Pendidikan

Abstract

Darussalam is one of the names of the Student City Center (Kopelma) in Aceh. The city builder was designed by educational figures at that time as a post-war ideal in order to create a peaceful and peaceful Aceh atmosphere through educational and intellectual development. A. Hasjmy is one of the educational figures who did not have a central role in creating the initial foundation for the conception of Darussalam. This research is a qualitative research, and examines the ideal concept of Kopelma Darussalam as an education center. This research is expected to obtain an overview of how the ideal concept of Darussalam as a center for Islamic education in A. Hasjmy's view, with the data techniques used are interviews and documentation studies. Data analysis using steps of data reduction, data display, and withdrawal. Based on the results of this research, it can be implemented that A. Hasjmy has determined 4 main conceptions of Darussalam's ideal, including 1) Darussalam as a Model Campus; 2) Darussalam as a Symbol of Peace; 3) Darussalam is a Character Building; and 4) Darussalam as a Science Campus. Through the fourth concept, it is hoped that Darussalam will become a center of study and reference and be able to solve all problems in Aceh, as well as a place for developing knowledge to contribute to mankind, and be able to contribute to realizing the development of a dignified Aceh.

Abstract

Kajian ini menyangkut tentang Pendidikan Inklusi dalam Pembelajaran Beyond Centers and Circle Time (BCCT) di PAUD Griya Ceria Banda Aceh. Tujuan penelitian ini diantaranya ialah untuk mengkaji: Pertama, Bagaimana pelaksanaan pendidikan inklusi dalam pembelajaran BCCT di PAUD Griya Ceria Banda Aceh; Kedua, Apakah hasil yang dicapai dari pelaksanaan Pendidikan Inklusi dalam pembelajaran BCCT di PAUD Griya Ceria banda Aceh; dan Ketiga, Apakah faktor pendukung dan penghambat/kendala dari pelaksanaan pendidikan inklusi dalam pembelajaran BCCT di PAUD Griya Ceria banda Aceh. Kegiatan penelitian dilakukan pada PAUD Terpadu Griya Ceria Banda Aceh yang berada. Pemilihan tempat sebagai lokasi penelitian berdasarkan beberapa pertimbangan, antara lain: keberagaman peserta didik yng merupakan filosofi PAUD Terpadu Griya Ceria, sehingga peserta didik memiliki kesempatan belajar yang sama. PAUD Terpadu Griya Ceria juga menerima anak berkebutuhan khusus yang beragam.Kemudian, kurikulum yang diterapkan PAUD Terpadu Griya Ceria juga menggunakan metode BCCT. Adapun Teknik pengumpulan data yang utama dalam penelitian ini adalah wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Pelaksanaan pendidikan inklusi paad PAUD Terpadu Griya Ceria ialah mengalami kemajuan yang luar biasa; 2) Hasil yang dicapai pelaksanaan pendidikan inklusi dalam pembelajaran inklusi pada PAUD Terpadu Griya Ceria terdapat perubahan positif yang cukup signifikan; dan 3) Terdapat faktor pendukung dan kendala pendidikan inklusi pada PAUD Terpadu Griya Ceria. Faktor Pendukung diantaranya ialah: 1) Guru dan Kurikulum BCCT yang digunakan sangat sesuai dan menyentuh semua kebutuhan anak dan menggunakan Rancangan Program Individu untuk ABK. Sedangkan Kendalanya ialah: 1) sikap orang tua siswa yang kurang siap terhadap dianugerahi anak-anak inklusi; 2) Kemampuan guru dalam memahami BCCT atau pendekatan sentra, kemampuan menghadapi anak, dan memecahkan masalah di lapangan; dan 3) Sarana dan Prasarana masih kurang memadai
