In grade V students also consisted of 7 students with 5 academically gifted students, 1 non-academic gifted student and 1 academically and non-academic gifted student at SD IT Baiti Jannati with the aim of analyzing the learning styles of gifted students both in academic and non-academic fields. Data were obtained through questionnaires, observations, and interviews with students and teachers. Data were analyzed using a qualitative approach with a data reduction model, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the research conducted at SD IT Perguruan Baiti Jannati showed that the dominant learning style in grade IV is visual, because students prefer to learn by reading, writing, and viewing displays such as in games. The most dominant learning style in grade V is visual and kinesthetic, because students find it easier to understand material through direct activities, practice, play, and using aids. Abstract

Education does not only function as a means of transferring academic knowledge but also as a social process that plays an important role in shaping students’ character and personality. Schools serve as social spaces where students learn to interact, adapt, and understand the values and norms prevailing in society. Social dynamics that occur within the school environment, particularly at the primary and secondary education levels, become a primary medium for the internalization of moral values, social attitudes, and the continuous development of students’ character. This article aims to examine students’ social dynamics and the role of character education from the perspective of the sociology of education. The research method employed is a literature review by analyzing various scientific journals, books, and relevant academic sources. The findings indicate that social interactions among students, the role of teachers as agents of socialization, school culture, and the integration of character education into the learning process make significant contributions to the development of students’ social, moral, and academic attitudes. Therefore, the sociology of education approach serves as an important foundation in designing education that is not only oriented toward academic achievement but also toward the holistic development of students’ character in accordance with societal needs.

Abstract

Student participation is a crucial factor in the success of the learning process. However, in classroom learning practices, low student engagement is often found due to teacher dominance and the use of teacher-centered learning methods. This condition results in low student engagement in critical thinking, discussions, and expressing opinions. This study aims to explain active learning strategies to increase student participation in class. The research method used is a literature review by analyzing various scientific sources in the form of books and journal articles relevant to the concept and application of active learning. The results of the study indicate that the application of active learning strategies, such as group discussions, question and answer sessions, problem-based learning, and group work, can increase student engagement cognitively, affectively, and socially. Students become more active in asking questions, expressing opinions, working together, and are more motivated in participating in learning. In addition, active learning also contributes to increased student understanding of the subject matter. Thus, active learning strategies can be used as an effective solution to increase student participation and create meaningful and student-centered learning.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the perceptions of fourth-grade elementary school students regarding teacher feedback in the implementation of the Independent Curriculum, the obstacles experienced by teachers in providing feedback, and the solutions implemented by teachers to overcome these obstacles. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study type. Data were collected through student questionnaires, in depth interwiews and documentation involving fourth-grade teachers and fellow teachers. Data analysis was conducted using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model, which includes data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The resulst showed that student perceived the feedback provided by teachers to increase their metacognitive awareness, where student were able to identify arrors and understand the corrective steps that must be taken, as well as increasing intrinsic motivation. Although some of them still felt hesistant to ask and receive feedback directly. Barriers experienced by teachers include differences in characteristics, student comprehension, time constraints and student psychological factors. Solution implemented by teachers included verbal feedback, a personalized approach, peer tutoring, learning differention and strengthening appreciation for the process of student effort. This study concluded that teacher feedback needs to be provided adaptively according to student characteristics. It is recommended that teachers continue to improve flexible feedback strategies and create a supportive learning environment.

Abstract

In the 21st century, students are required to master critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity skills, while educators are expected to innovate by applying learning strategies aligned with technological advancements. However, observations in Grade IV at SDN Sungai Miai 4 Banjarmasin revealed that most students remained passive, lacked self-confidence, and faced difficulties in expressing their opinions orally. This study aims to improve students’ learning activity, communication skills, and learning outcomes through the implementation of a combination of Problem-Based Learning (PBL), NHT(NHT), and Scramble models. The research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) with three cycles, involving 18 fourth-grade students. Data were collected through observations, assessment instruments, and achievement tests, and then analyzed using descriptive qualitative and quantitative methods. The results indicated that teacher engagement increased to the “very good” category, student activeness reached an “almost entirely very high” criterion, and communication skills developed to an “almost entirely very good” level. Furthermore, students’ academic performance achieved both individual and group mastery standards, with 81% obtaining scores ≥70. Therefore, the integration of Problem-Based Learning, Numbered Heads Together, and Scramble models proved effective in creating an active and enjoyable Indonesian language learning environment while contributing positively to the enhancement of students’ competencies.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe development of social media such as Threads has given rise to the phenomenon of content creator teachers (GKK), which creates a unique linguistic dynamic between the language of formal education and digital communication. This study aims to describe the form, function, and meaning of GKK language registers on the platform. With a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected from the uploads of five GKK accounts (@fatkoer, @fikrisuhardi, @fiikriabdilah, @fakurly, @muchsinridlo) using listening, screen capture, and note-taking techniques. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model, referring to word form theory (Ramlan, Kridalaksana), language function (Halliday), and meaning theory (Santoso, Keraf). The results show that GKK registers are in the form of single and complex words through affixation, reduplication, and abbreviation, and are mediated multimodally via hashtags and emojis. Language functions are dominated by representational and heuristic, followed by personal, instrumental, regulatory, and interactional, while imaginative functions are not found. On the meaning aspect, the register contains denotative and connotative meanings with meaning changes such as metaphor and peyoration. The conclusion of the study confirms that the GKK register is a form of hybridization that serves multiple functions: as an educational tool and a strategy to build authority, closeness, and professional identity in the digital space. This register represents teachers' linguistic adaptation that combines the brevity and appeal of digital communication without leaving the pedagogical essence. Keywords: register, language, content creator teacher, social media, threads, sociolinguistics

Abstract

The problem in this research is that students experience difficulties in learning activities, which impacts their low ability to understand reading texts and express thoughts logically, as well as challenges in developing skills. Therefore, learning innovation is needed through a combination of Mind Mapping, Project Based Learning (PjBL), and Cooperative Learning models, aimed at describing teacher activities and analyzing improvements in student activities and psychomotor skills for second-grade students at SDN Pasar Lama 1 Banjarmasin. This research employs a qualitative and quantitative approach using Classroom Action Research (PTK), conducted over four meetings in the 2024/2025 academic year. The research subjects consist of 29 students. Data were collected through observations of teacher activities, student activities, and psychomotor skills, as well as written tests for quantitative data. Data analysis was performed using percentages and predetermined learning completion indicators. The results show that teacher activities in each meeting were carried out in the "Good" criteria and improved to a score of 35. Student activities increased from 14% in the "Good" criteria in the first meeting to 100% in the fourth meeting. Students' psychomotor skills also improved to 100% in the final meeting. Based on these results, the combination of Mind Mapping, Project Based Learning (PJBL), and Cooperative Learning models effectively enhances student activities and psychomotor skills.
