Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve basic literacy among fifth and sixth grade students through a poetry reading competition in Ngadirejo Village. The low interest in reading literature, particularly poetry, and limited literacy activities were the reasons behind the poetry reading competition. The implementation method included planning, conducting, and evaluating the competition. The poetry reading competition was held on November 27, 2025, with six students representing fifth and sixth grades from three elementary schools in Ngadirejo Village participating. The results showed that the poetry reading competition improved literacy skills, increased student participation, and positively impacted the school's literacy culture. The poetry reading competition also encouraged teacher involvement in literacy development and led to the creation of a poetry corner. Therefore, the poetry reading competition can be an effective literacy strategy for fostering reading culture and literary appreciation among elementary school students.

Abstract

Technology-based learning is essential in the digital era to create interactive, engaging, and meaningful learning experiences for elementary school students. However, many schools have not fully utilized digital media, resulting in monotonous teacher-centered instruction. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of interactive Smart TV media in improving student learning outcomes at SDN Pangeran 1. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, with data collected through observations, interviews, and documentation involving teachers and students who used Smart TV during learning activities. Data were analyzed through reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that Smart TV effectively enhances students’ conceptual understanding, motivation, and participation through visual-audio presentations, educational videos, and interactive activities using applications such as YouTube, Quizizz, and Ruang Siswa. Teachers also benefit from real-time monitoring through digital assessments. Challenges include unstable internet connectivity and varying student readiness in operating devices, which can be addressed through guidance and offline content preparation. Overall, interactive Smart TV media provides significant contributions to improving learning quality and is recommended for sustainable integration into elementary learning practices.

Abstract

The regional dance arts program at SD Negeri 3 Pangkalpinang is held as a weekly extracurricular activity, with the main objective of developing expressive potential and internalizing character values in students in grades IV, V, and VI. However, observations indicate implementation constraints, particularly related to student absenteeism and significant limitations in program support facilities and infrastructure. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the regional dance arts program in its contribution to student character formation, using the Stake Evaluation Model. This evaluation framework examines three crucial components: Antecedents (Initial Conditions) in this program are based on strong arguments regarding efforts to preserve cultural heritage and instill character values. Secondly, Transactions (Implementation Process) in the program implementation are carried out consistently through weekly sessions with demonstration methods and group practice. Thirdly, Outcomes (Achievements) in the program are proven to provide measurable positive contributions to strengthening student character, especially in the dimensions of discipline, responsibility, cooperation, and self-confidence. The research methodology involves comprehensive data collection through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation analysis. The empirical evaluation results confirm that this program has successfully enriched aspects of student character development, particularly in strengthening discipline, responsibility, and collaboration skills. Therefore, this evaluation implies that the regional dance program plays a strategic role, not only as a mere extracurricular activity but also as an effective medium for preserving local culture and developing the holistic character of students at the elementary school level.

Abstract

In elementary education, the quick advancement of information and communication technology has revolutionized how we evaluate learning. Teachers may use digital- based assessments to evaluate pupils more effectively, interactively, and objectively. The goal of this research is to outline how digital-based learning evaluation is implemented in elementary schools, with an emphasis on the kinds of digital media employed, implementation techniques, and difficulties experienced. Through field observations done in six representative elementary schools, including public and private schools in urban and semi-rural environments, this study used a descriptive qualitative methodology. Information was gathered through direct observation, organized teacher interviews, and documentation of online assessment tools. According to the results, digital evaluation media like Google Forms, Wordwall, Quizizz, and instructional videos were frequently utilized for summative and formative assessments. Digital-based evaluation improves student engagement, motivation, and learning efficiency, but there are still issues with infrastructure and digital literacy. Generally speaking, when backed by sufficient resources and teacher proficiency, digital evaluation enhances the overall quality of learning.

Abstract

Fenomena roleplay di Instagram semakin berkembang sebagai ruang pelarian bagi remaja dan dewasa muda untuk mengekspresikan diri, bereksperimen dengan identitas, dan mengurangi tekanan sehari-hari. Aktivitas ini sering digunakan sebagai bentuk escapism, yang berpotensi mempengaruhi life satisfaction atau kepuasan hidup individu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara escapism dan life satisfaction pada roleplayer di Instagram. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional dan melibatkan 427 partisipan berusia 18–25 tahun yang aktif bermain roleplay minimal tiga bulan terakhir. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah Dualistic Model of Escapism Scale (DMES) dan Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS) bahasa indonesia oleh Akhtar (2019). Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa escapism berhubungan positif dan signifikan dengan life satisfaction (r = 0.332, p < 0.001). Dimensi self expansion memiliki hubungan paling kuat dengan life satisfaction (r = 0.349), sedangkan self suppression juga berhubungan positif namun lebih lemah (r = 0.262). Hubungan positif artinya kenaikan variabel escapism diikuti oleh variabel life satisfaction, dalam kasus ini semakin seseorang menggunakan roleplay sebagai pelarian maka life satisfaction mereka meningkat.

Abstract

Speech in the marriage proposal procession is an important part of traditional communication that is full of cultural meaning and social values. This study aims to describe the form, function, and implicature of speech used in the traditional marriage proposal procession in Jepara Village, BPR Ranau Tengah District. A qualitative-descriptive approach was used with observation and interview methods, documentation and recording of the village head, traditional leaders, and the local community. The results of the study indicate that speech in the marriage proposal procession is indirect, subtle, and full of Ranau cultural symbols. There is the use of proverbs and traditional expressions that have a pragmatic function as a form of respect, expression of good intentions, and efforts to maintain harmony between families. Speech implicature shows a collective understanding of customary norms and values, such as respect, humility, and caution in conveying intentions.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the mind mapping learning model on the poetry writing ability of class X students at SMA Negeri 1 Penukal Utara. The background of this study is based on the low ability of students in writing poetry, especially in finding themes and arranging appropriate diction. The study uses a quantitative approach with an experimental design. The research subjects consisted of two classes, namely the experimental class taught using the mind mapping model and the control class with a conventional learning model, each consisting of 30 students. Data collection was carried out through a poetry writing test at the end of the treatment (post-test). The results showed that the average post-test score of the experimental class students was 73.3, while the control class obtained an average of 56. Hypothesis testing using the Independent Sample t-Test showed a significance value of 0.000 <0.05, which means there is a significant influence of the use of mind mapping on students' poetry writing ability. Thus, the mind mapping learning model is proven to be effective in improving poetry writing ability because it helps students develop ideas, structure poetry, and enrich the use of language creatively.

Abstract

Descriptive text is a composition that describes an object (in the form of people, objects, places, events and some) with words in the actual situation to the reader so that the reader seems to feel, experience, remember the events or things written by the author. Based on this, the problem in this study is how to apply learning to write descriptive texts using picture media to class VII students of SMP Negeri 4 Sungai Rotan. Objectives This research is to determine the influence of learning to write descriptive texts through interactive learning media on students in class VII of SMP Negeri 4 Sungai Rotan. The method of this research is a quantitative experiment. The results of this research show that interactive learning media has an influence on the results of learning to write descriptive texts on students in class VII of SMP Negeri 4 Sungai Rotan. Therefore, Interactive learning media can be applied in learning Indonesian.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an interactive learning media based on Articulate Storyline for multiplication and division of whole numbers up to 100,000 for fifth-grade elementary school students. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE development model, which consists of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages. The subjects of the study were fifth-grade students of SD Negeri Ngadi. Data were collected through expert validation sheets, practicality questionnaires for teachers and students, and learning achievement tests in the form of pretest and posttest. The validity results showed that the media was categorized as valid by material experts and very valid by media experts. The practicality test indicated that the media was very practical, with a teacher response percentage of 100% and a student response percentage of 95%. The effectiveness of the media was analyzed using the N-Gain Score, which resulted in an average N-Gain value of 0.707, categorized as high. These results indicate that the interactive learning media based on Articulate Storyline is valid, practical, and effective for improving students’ learning outcomes in multiplication and division of whole numbers up to 100,000. Therefore, the developed media is feasible to be used as a supporting learning medium in elementary school mathematics learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of technology-based academic supervision on the performance of public junior high school teachers in Bantarkawung District. Technology-based academic supervision was implemented through the use of digital media, particularly classroom learning video recordings created by teachers. This research employed a quantitative approach. The population consisted of 105 teachers, with 83 teachers selected as the research sample. Data were collected using questionnaires that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis techniques included descriptive statistics, t-tests to examine partial effects, and F-tests to determine simultaneous effects. The results show that technology-based academic supervision has a positive and significant effect on teacher performance, as indicated by positive regression coefficients and significant t and F test results at a significance level of 0.05. These findings indicate that technology-based academic supervision can enhance the effectiveness of teacher professional development and support sustainable improvement in teacher performance
