Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategies of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) teachers in teaching fardhu kifayah at Madrasah Aliyah Swasta (MAS) Al Manar Hamparan Perak. The subject of fardhu kifayah is crucial in fostering religious awareness, social responsibility, and the implementation of Islamic values in community life. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observations, in-depth interviews with IRE teachers and students, as well as documentation related to the learning process. The data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing.The results show that the IRE teacher strategies in MAS Al Manar Hamparan Perak include: (1) contextual learning strategies, by linking fardhu kifayah materials with students’ social realities; (2) direct practicum strategies, such as simulating funeral rites, to strengthen practical skills; (3) collaborative strategies, through group work and discussions to cultivate collective responsibility; and (4) habituation strategies, by assigning practical tasks outside the classroom so students can internalize fardhu kifayah values in real life. The discussion emphasizes that the success of teacher strategies is determined by creativity, the use of approaches that suit students’ characteristics, and support from the school environment. The implication of this study is the need for developing Islamic Religious Education strategies based on real-life practice, so that students not only understand fardhu kifayah theoretically but are also able to implement it in their social life.

Abstract

Instilling social attitudes from an early age is crucial in shaping students' character, especially at the elementary school level. Islamic Religious Education (PAI), as a core subject, plays a strategic role in instilling social values such as empathy, mutual cooperation, tolerance, and responsibility. This study aims to describe how the implementation of project-based PAI learning (PBL) can foster social attitudes in elementary school students. The approach used was descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation of students and teachers at a public elementary school. The results showed that project-based activities such as creating posters of Islamic values, social actions in the school environment, and group discussions about the stories of the prophets, were able to improve social interaction, teamwork, and a sense of caring among students. Supporting factors for the success of this learning included the role of the teacher as an active facilitator and student involvement in the process. Meanwhile, obstacles faced included limited time and variations in student character. Thus, project-based PAI learning has proven effective in instilling social attitudes in elementary school students and is worthy of being developed more widely at various levels of elementary education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Maros Class 1B Religious Court’s decision regarding the payment of outstanding maintenance (nafkah terutang) from a husband to his wife, viewed from the perspective of maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah. The decision in Case No. 374/Pdt.G/2024/PA.Mrs stipulated the husband’s obligation to pay iddah maintenance, mut‘ah, and outstanding maintenance. However, the decision has not been carried out by the defendant, and the plaintiff has not filed an application for execution. The research adopts a descriptive qualitative approach, employing interviews, documentation, and juridical analysis. The findings indicate that factors supporting the implementation of the decision include the clarity of the ruling, the realistic amount of maintenance awarded, and the availability of legal aid services. On the other hand, the main obstacles consist of the plaintiff’s limited legal knowledge, the defendant’s uncooperative attitude, and various administrative and psychological barriers.From the perspective of maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah, the decision substantively reflects the protection of wealth (ḥifẓ al-māl), life (ḥifẓ al-nafs), and honor (ḥifẓ al-‘irḍ). Nevertheless, its non-implementation demonstrates that the objectives of maqāṣid have not been fully achieved. Therefore, reforms in the enforcement system are necessary to ensure that substantive justice can be realized for those entitled to it. Keywords: Decision, Maintenance Owed, Maqashid Al-Syariah

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the deep learning approach in cultural arts learning, particularly dance material, within the Merdeka Curriculum for Grade X students at SMA Negeri 1 Tumijajar. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method. Primary data sources consisted of the cultural arts teacher and students of class X.1, while secondary data included learning materials, lesson plans (RPM), attendance records, students’ score lists, and documentation of learning activities. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data validity was ensured through technique triangulation. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the implementation of dance learning integrates three principles of deep learning, namely mindful learning, meaningful learning, and joyful learning. The application of mindful learning is reflected in students’ engagement and concentration during the learning process, as well as their ability to reflect on the feedback provided by the teacher. The principle of meaningful learning is demonstrated through students’ ability to understand dance concepts and connect them with practical movement performance in a continuous manner. Meanwhile, joyful learning is manifested through the use of varied instructional media and the provision of teacher appreciation, creating a conducive learning atmosphere that enhances students’ self-confidence and encourages active participation. Despite challenges such as limited instructional time and differences in students’ movement abilities, the deep learning approach is considered effective in supporting dance learning and is aligned with the characteristics and principles of the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

Low motivation to learn is one of the main problems in the world of education, which affects the quality of learning. This research aims to examine the use of game-based learning as an innovation to increase student learning motivation. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with literature studies from various relevant sources. The research results show that game-based learning is able to create an interactive, fun and challenging learning atmosphere, so that it can increase students' motivation, involvement and understanding of the subject matter. With proper implementation, game-based learning can be an effective strategy in responding to the challenges of 21st century education.

Abstract

The use of the Canva application in learning in grade 3 at SDN Samadikun Kota Cirebon has proven to improve students' digital literacy. Although there were initial challenges in using devices such as Chromebooks, students began to access, evaluate, manage, and create digital content more effectively. Canva also encourages students' creativity in designing posters that align with the Indonesian language lesson materials. Additionally, collaborative activities within groups enhance communication and digital collaboration among students. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with triangulation techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The purpose of this study is to analyze how the Canva application supports the improvement of students' digital literacy in the context of poster-making lessons.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze Canva media's use in developing fifth-grade elementary school students' critical thinking skills. Critical thinking skills are one of the important competencies in the Independent Curriculum, but many students still have not shown these abilities optimally in the learning process. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation of the learning process that utilizes Canva media. The subjects of the study were fifth-grade students at SDI Al Azhar 2 in Jakarta City. The results of the study showed that Canva media was able to attract students' attention, make it easier to understand the material, and encourage students to be more active in expressing opinions and compiling arguments. Canva also provides a wide exploration space for students to express ideas visually and creatively. Based on these findings, Canva media is worthy of being used as an alternative learning medium that supports the development of critical thinking skills of elementary school students.

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of Powtoon-based digital media on fourth-grade students' learning interest in the Solar System topic at SD Negeri Retraen. The research employed a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group. Participants were divided into two groups: the experimental group, which used Powtoon animation media, and the control group, which received conventional instruction. Learning interest was measured through a Likert-scale questionnaire covering attention, curiosity, participation, and enthusiasm. Data were analyzed using an independent sample t-test. The results indicated that the experimental group achieved significantly higher post-test scores in learning interest compared to the control group, as evidenced by a p-value below 0.05. These findings suggest that integrating Powtoon animation media into thematic instruction effectively enhances student engagement, particularly in abstract science topics such as the Solar System. The dynamic visualization provided by Powtoon helps students comprehend complex material more concretely, fostering a more interactive and enjoyable learning experience. This study recommends the broader adoption of digital animation tools in elementary education to improve instructional quality and increase student participation.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the results of learning science using a problem-based learning model assisted by a diorama of class IV needs, chapter 6, how to get all our needs, material me and my needs. Learning outcomes are changes in behavior and overall abilities possessed by students after learning, in the form of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor abilities. Problem-based learning is a learning model that prioritizes how active students are in always thinking critically and always skilled when faced with solving a problem. The action hypothesis in this study is an increase in the results of learning science of class IV students of SD 2 Singocandi. This classroom action research was conducted in class IV of SD 2 Singocandi with 34 students as research subjects. This study lasted for two cycles, each cycle consisting of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The independent variable is the problem-based learning model, while the dependent variable is learning outcomes. The instruments of this study were observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used were qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques.

Abstract

Teacher performance is a key factor in educational success, yet issues such as tardiness, poor preparation, and low engagement in school activities remain common. This study aims to examine the influence of motivation, rewards, and principal leadership on teacher performance at SD Global Prestasi School. A quantitative approach using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was employed, involving 60 teacher respondents. The results show that motivation (p = 0.009; coefficient = 0.421) and rewards (p = 0.011; coefficient = 0.370) have a positive and significant influence on teacher performance. Conversely, principal leadership does not show a significant effect (p = 0.248; coefficient = 0.204). An R-square value of 0.489 indicates that the three variables explain 48.9% of the variance in teacher performance, while a Q-square value of 0.360 demonstrates good predictive relevance. These findings suggest that improving teacher performance should focus on enhancing motivation and providing appropriate rewards.
