Abstract

This study aims to analyze the needs of students and teachers regarding the development of QR Code-based content-differentiated learning methods in Civic Education (PPKn) at MAN Kota Tegal. The primary challenges in teaching PPKn include the tendency for material to be perceived as abstract and the diverse characteristics of students within the classroom. This study represents the preliminary stage of a Research and Development (R&D) project. The research method employed is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques involving semi-structured interviews with PPKn teachers, classroom observations, and the distribution of needs assessment questionnaires to 64 eleventh-grade students across two classes. The results reveal three main findings: (1) There is a diversity of student learning styles (visual, auditory, kinesthetic) that have not been optimally facilitated by current teaching methods, which remain dominated by lectures; (2) Students face difficulties in understanding conceptual and procedural PPKn material, yet they demonstrate a high interest in using mobile devices for learning; (3) Teachers require practical tools to implement content differentiation without significantly increasing their administrative burden. Furthermore, the availability of smartphones and internet access within the school environment is highly supportive. It is concluded that the development of QR Code-based content-differentiated learning methods is urgent and highly relevant for implementation at MAN Kota Tegal to bridge the gap in student learning needs.

Abstract

This study aims to develop interactive Shorof learning materials based on the Amtsilatu Tasrifiyah textbook using Canva to enhance students’ motivation and understanding of tashrif patterns. The study was conducted at SMP IT Terpadu Robbani Palembang, where Shorof learning still relies heavily on conventional lecture and memorization methods, resulting in low student engagement and difficulties in understanding word patterns (wazan). This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate) with quantitative and qualitative approaches. Data were collected through classroom observations, teacher interviews, student questionnaires, and pre-test and post-test assessments. The results indicate that the development of Canva-based interactive Shorof materials effectively improved students’ learning outcomes and engagement. Students’ average scores increased from 62.47 in the pre-test to 81.53 in the post-test, with N-Gain categorized as medium–high, indicating significant improvement in understanding tashrif patterns. Student responses also showed high engagement (90.52%). The interactive features, including visual slides, animations, audio, and navigation buttons, facilitated memorization, deepened understanding of wazan relationships, and reduced cognitive load from traditional memorization methods. Interactive and engaging learning experiences made Shorof learning more meaningful and enjoyable.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of using letter puzzle media to improve early reading literacy skills among first-grade elementary school students in a home-based tutoring environment. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of 10 students, one main tutor, and several parents. The findings indicate that the use of letter puzzles significantly enhanced students’ ability to recognize letters, form syllables, and read simple words. Students demonstrated high enthusiasm, active engagement, and increased self-confidence during the learning process. The tutor played a key role as a facilitator in creating a supportive learning environment, while the letter puzzle served as a multisensory stimulus that facilitated comprehension. These findings align with constructivist learning theory and Vygotsky's zone of proximal development, emphasizing active learning through appropriate media support. This study recommends the use of creative concrete media in early reading instruction, both in formal and non-formal educational settings.

Abstract

Rapid social changes due to the development of digital technology, particularly the use of social media, have a significant impact on adolescent mental health. Intense interaction in the digital world can lead to various psychological problems such as anxiety, stress, decreased self-esteem, difficulty managing emotions, and obstacles in developing a self-identity. In the field of education, Guidance and Counseling (BK) teachers play a crucial role in helping adolescents cope with these psychosocial pressures. This study aims to evaluate the role of BK teachers in addressing the impact of social change and social media pressures on adolescent mental health. This study used a literature review method by analyzing various domestic and international journal articles, academic books, and reports from official institutions related to the topics of adolescent mental health, social media, and guidance and counseling services. The results indicate that BK teachers play a crucial role through individual and group counseling services, as well as prevention programs that focus on strengthening emotional management, social adjustment, and developing adaptive strategies for dealing with stress. The study also shows that the effectiveness of the BK teacher's role is influenced by school policy support, resource availability, and parental involvement. Developing mental health literacy and digital literacy in guidance and counseling services is an important strategy to improve the psychological resilience and mental well-being of adolescents in the digital era.
