Abstract

This study is motivated by structural gaps in the preservation and accessibility of keroncong music, particularly the lack of systematic digital documentation and the declining awareness among younger generations. The study aims to develop and validate a web-based digital library system (Croeng.id) that enhances information retrievability, user engagement, and cultural understanding. The method employed is Research and Development (R&D) using a modified 3D model (Define, Design, Develop), implemented through iterative development and continuous validation. Data were collected through alpha testing (internal evaluation) and beta testing involving experts and general users. System evaluation refers to ISO 9241-11:2018 standards, focusing on three key indicators: effectiveness, efficiency, and user satisfaction. Quantitative analysis shows a feasibility level of 88.0%, exceeding the ≥80% threshold, indicating that the system is highly feasible. Qualitative findings further reveal improvements in accessibility, speed of information retrieval, and depth of understanding of keroncong music. These results confirm that a culture-based digital system functions not only as a repository but also as an interactive learning medium. Therefore, this development represents a strategic cultural intervention contributing to sustainable preservation and the strengthening of music education in the digital era.

Abstract

Science education, known as IPA in elementary schools, plays a crucial role in honing critical thinking skills along with various other transformative competencies needed in the demanding world of the 21st century. However, there are various obstacles faced in science learning, so that students' achievement in science learning in the learning components that include thinking (cognitive), emotional response (affective), and practical skills (psychomotor) are also affected. The Team Games Tournament (TGT) model has become an alternative to encourage improvement in elementary school students' science learning outcomes. Through a descriptive qualitative approach based on a literature study, this article examines ten recent studies that examine the role of TGT in the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains of elementary school science learning. The results of the analysis show that the consistent application of TGT improves students' understanding of science concepts (cognitive), motivation (affective), and cooperation (psychomotor) among students. Thus, the TGT model is recommended as the main model in designing science learning at the elementary level, as well as a foundation for further research and development of innovative models.

Abstract

Abu Dzar Al Ghifary Chaer. The Use of the Learning Resource Book “Mudah dan Praktis Belajar Sharaf” in Enhancing Students’ Arabic Language Proficiency at Pondok Pesantren Darul Aman Gombara Makassar (Supervised by Prof. Dr. Hj. Nurlaelah, M.Hum and Dr. H. M. Ishaq Shamad, MA). Sharaf instruction plays a significant role in strengthening students’ Arabic morphological competence within the Islamic boarding school environment. However, Sharaf materials are often perceived as complex and abstract due to the similarity of tashrīf patterns and the systematic demands of word-form transformation. Therefore, the availability of structured and practical learning resources is essential to support effective instruction. Educators are required to select and utilize appropriate learning resources to facilitate comprehension and enhance student engagement in the learning process. This study aims to analyze the process of using the book Mudah dan Praktis Belajar Sharaf as a learning resource in Sharaf instruction at Pondok Pesantren Darul Aman Gombara Makassar. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques included data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the book was systematically integrated into both institutional policy and classroom instructional practices. It functioned as the primary reference for presenting tashrīf tables, gradual exercises, and reinforcement of morphological patterns. Teachers also implemented supporting strategies such as song-based memorization methods, quizzes, guided exercises, and group presentations to strengthen students’ understanding. The effectiveness of this learning resource was reflected in increased student participation, improved comprehension of tashrīf patterns, and more structured learning activities. Although several challenges were identified, including limited vocabulary mastery, heterogeneous student abilities, and limited instructional time, overall the use of the book Mudah dan Praktis Belajar Sharaf was considered effective in supporting Sharaf instruction at Pondok Pesantren Darul Aman Gombara Makassar.

Abstract

The growth of social media has shaped the emotional construction and happiness standards of younger generations, including university students. In academic settings, narratives centered on positive thinking, patience (sabar), and surrender to God (tawakkal) are frequently offered as responses to psychological pressure. However, an excessive interpretation of these narratives risks giving rise to the phenomenon of toxic positivity the tendency to impose a positive outlook to the point of dismissing the validity of negative emotions. This study aims to: (1) analyze the dominant forms of toxic positivity narratives among FAI Class of 2023 students; (2) examine their educational impact; and (3) formulate a response from the perspective of Islamic Education. The study employs a qualitative case study approach, utilizing in-depth interviews with purposively selected participants. Data were analyzed thematically and reflectively to identify emerging patterns of meaning. The findings reveal that toxic positivity manifests through religious language particularly sabar and tawakkal interpreted in performative and overly simplistic ways. The value of sabar is reduced to emotional suppression, tawakkal is understood as passive resignation, and academic communication tends to lack emotional validation. The Islamic Education perspective affirms that emotional regulation does not mean the denial of feelings, but rather their proportional and reflective management. Accordingly, a reinterpretation of sabar, a reaffirmation of tawakkal as the integration of personal effort (ikhtiar) and surrender to God, and the cultivation of an empathetic culture within academic environments are all urgently needed. This study contributes to the broader field of Islamic education by integrating spiritual and psychological dimensions in a balanced manner.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the speech forms of the Mandailing language used in the Makkobar tradition during wedding ceremonies in Ranah Batahan District and to analyze the functions of the speech acts realized in customary interactions. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach. The data consisted of oral utterances collected through non-participant observation, audio recording, and field notes, with traditional leaders and Makkobar participants as data sources. The analysis was grounded in speech act theory, covering locutionary, illocutionary, and perlocutionary acts. The findings reveal that Makkobar discourse is predominantly characterized by informative locutionary acts and various illocutionary functions, including assertive, directive, commissive, expressive, and declarative acts. Word choice, intonation, and politeness strategies are influenced by social status, age, customary roles, and kinship relations. Furthermore, the study identifies the impact of linguistic acculturation with Minangkabau and Indonesian, resulting in variations in speech patterns without diminishing Mandailing politeness values. The Makkobar tradition plays a crucial role as a medium for preserving language, social norms, and the cultural identity of the Mandailing community in a diaspora context.

Abstract

This study was motivated by problems found in the field, namely the low learning outcomes of students, particularly in the Pancasila material, where many students still do not know the symbols of Pancasila, the meaning of Pancasila, and how to apply its values in daily life. These problems were identified from the results of initial observations conducted prior to the research. This research employed a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The population of this study consisted of all students at Lab School SD Unismuh Makassar, while the sample included 19 fifth-grade students, comprising 13 males and 6 females. The instruments used in this study were an observation sheet and test items. The data analysis techniques applied were descriptive data analysis and inferential data analysis. The results of the study showed that the average pretest score was 55, while the posttest score increased to 76.31. Based on the paired samples test for hypothesis testing, the results indicated a t-value of −6.577 and a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.000, which is lower than the significance level of 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05). Therefore, the null hypothesis (H₀) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H₁) was accepted.Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the game-based learning model assisted by an e-crossword puzzle has a significant effect on students’ learning outcomes in the Pancasila material for fifth-grade students at Lab School SD Unismuh Makassar.
