Abstract

Learning in Islamic boarding schools is often dominated by routine activities that are not always internalized meaningfully by students. This condition indicates the need for a learning model that is able to connect knowledge with real-life experiences in order to enhance meaningful learning. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Experiential Learning model and its role in improving meaningful learning among students at Manarul Qur’an Islamic Boarding School. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation involving teachers and students as research participants. The data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings reveal that the Experiential Learning model was implemented through stages of concrete experience, reflective observation, abstract conceptualization, and active experimentation integrated into students’ daily religious and social activities. The implementation of this model contributed to the enhancement of meaningful learning as indicated by students’ improved understanding of learning objectives, their ability to relate learning materials to real-life experiences, and the internalization of Islamic values in their attitudes and behaviors. Therefore, Experiential Learning can serve as an effective pedagogical approach in fostering contextual, reflective, and spiritually meaningful learning in Islamic boarding school education

Abstract

This research is motivated by the crucial role of teachers in optimizing students' Al-Qur'an memorization abilities, particularly Juz 30, at SMA Islam Al-Falah Jambi City. The primary focus of this study is to describe the strategies employed by Tahfidz teachers and to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors in the process of improving students' memorization skills. This study is a field research utilizing a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that: (1) Teacher strategies include pre-instructional steps such as providing motivation and reciting Asmaul Husna, followed by the implementation of Talaqqi, Bin Nazhar, and Takrir methods, and evaluation through the Tasmi’ system. (2) The quality of students' memorization is measured through quantitative and qualitative aspects. (3) Supporting factors include integrative school curriculum policies and the availability of audio murottal facilities. Meanwhile, the main inhibiting factors are low internal student motivation and limited instructional time allocation. This study concludes that the consistent application of the talaqqi and takrir methods is the key to maintaining the quality of students' Juz 30 memorization. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of educational leadership management in school cooperatives as an effort to support economics learning for students at Madrasah. Grounded in the concept of educational leadership that is visionary, adaptive, and values-based (Siswadi, 2025; Siswadi, 2024), the study employs a descriptive qualitative approach through a systematic literature review of school cooperative management in Islamic educational institutions. The findings indicate that educational leadership plays a central role in driving cooperative management effectiveness, creating a contextual economic learning environment that integrates theory and practice. Through cooperative activities directed by a values-based leadership approach (Siswadi, Jamil, & Afandi, 2026), Madrasah students are able to understand economic concepts such as production, distribution, consumption, supply, and demand in a more concrete manner. Furthermore, students’ involvement in cooperative management has been proven to enhance managerial skills, including planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling, as well as to develop adaptive, participatory, and responsible leadership abilities. School cooperatives also contribute to fostering character values such as discipline, honesty, and teamwork, while simultaneously promoting students’ entrepreneurial spirit. However, implementation still faces challenges including suboptimal leadership, low student participation, and limited curriculum integration. Overall, effective educational leadership in Madrasah school cooperatives is proven to support practice-based economics learning while developing 21st-century competencies relevant to students’ future careers.

Abstract

Women’s leadership in education has become an important issue in advancing gender equality. This study aims to examine the challenges, strengthening strategies, and impacts of women’s leadership through a literature review approach. The findings indicate that women still face various barriers, including gender bias, dual roles between domestic and professional responsibilities, limited access to networks and career support, as well as the influence of patriarchal culture and the glass cliff phenomenon. To address these challenges, strengthening strategies are needed, such as capacity building through training, strengthening professional networks, and implementing participatory and transformational leadership styles. Furthermore, women’s leadership has a positive impact in creating inclusive educational environments, fostering collaborative working relationships, developing student-centered policies, and promoting ethical and empathetic decision-making. Therefore, women’s leadership plays a strategic role in driving more humane, equitable, and sustainable educational transformation.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the mathematics learning process for fourth-grade students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al-Fitrah UMI, identify the types of learning difficulties experienced by students in long multiplication and long division materials, and analyze the factors causing these learning difficulties. This research employed a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The subjects of this study were the fourth-grade mathematics teacher and students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al-Fitrah UMI. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that mathematics learning in the fourth grade followed the Kurikulum Merdeka using lecture methods and practice exercises. The identified learning difficulties included a low understanding of long-form arithmetic operations, evidenced by the majority of students scoring below the Minimum Mastery Criterion (KKM) during assessments. Students faced obstacles in calculating large numbers and frequently felt confused by the steps of long division. The causal factors for these learning difficulties consisted of internal and external factors: 1) The teacher's teaching method, which tended to be monotonous, thereby decreasing student motivation and concentration; 2) Students' limited cognitive abilities in mastering basic arithmetic concepts; and 3) A lack of learning assistance from parents at home, which resulted in students having difficulty reviewing the material in-dependently. Abstract

This study aims to analyze communication problems and business negotiation processes in the refund and return of goods on the Shopee marketplace platform. Using a qualitative approach through library research, this study examines various scientific journal sources related to business communication, communication barriers, business negotiation, and consumer protection in online transactions. The results show that communication barriers—such as slow customer service responses, automated reply systems, and lack of information transparency—significantly affect negotiation quality and consumer satisfaction. Consumer bargaining positions tend to be weak as they are entirely dependent on platform policies. This study concludes that improving business communication effectiveness is a fundamental factor in creating a fair negotiation process and increasing consumer trust in digital platforms.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the determinants of consumer purchasing decisions in the context of digital marketing. The rapid development of digital technology has influenced changes in consumer behavior, particularly in accessing information and making purchasing decisions. This research uses a quantitative approach with an associative method, involving 101 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression techniques. The results show that digital marketing, consumer trust, information quality, and online promotion simultaneously have a significant effect on purchasing decisions. Partially, each variable also has a positive and significant effect. These findings indicate that effective digital marketing strategies, supported by consumer trust, high-quality information, and attractive promotional activities, can increase consumer purchasing decisions.

Abstract

Teacher-centered learning tends to limit student engagement, while the use of innovative learning media remains suboptimal. This study aims to determine whether the application of a discovery learning model assisted by Powtoon media can improve student learning outcomes in reaction rate material. The research employed a nonequivalent control group design. The sample consisted of 60 students from SMA Negeri 1 Pagaran in the 2025/2026 academic year, selected through purposive sampling, including 30 students in the XI Science class (experimental group) and 30 students in the XI Applied class (control group). Data were collected using multiple-choice objective tests administered as pre-test and post-test to measure students’ learning outcomes. The results indicated a significant improvement in the experimental class after the implementation of discovery learning assisted by Powtoon media. Based on the N-Gain analysis, the experimental class achieved an average score of 0.79, categorized as high. Furthermore, the Independent Samples t-test on post-test data at a significance level of 0.05 showed a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.00. Using a right-tailed test, the significance value (1-tailed) was 0.000 (< 0.05), indicating a statistically significant difference. In conclusion, the application of the discovery learning model assisted by Powtoon media effectively improves student learning outcomes in reaction rate material. Moreover, the improvement in the experimental class is higher compared to the control class that applied conventional learning methods

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by Powtoon media on students’ learning interest and learning outcomes in reaction rate material. The study was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Raya using a quasi-experimental design, namely the Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design, involving an experimental class and a control class. The samples were selected through random sampling, with each class consisting of 36 students.The research instruments included a multiple-choice test to measure students’ chemistry learning outcomes and a questionnaire to assess students’ learning interest. All instruments were validated by expert validators prior to use. Data analysis showed that the average increase in students’ learning outcomes in the experimental class was 76.01%, higher than the control class at 58.55%. Similarly, students’ learning interest in the experimental class reached an average of 71.61%, compared to 54.33% in the control class.Hypothesis testing using the right-tailed t-test revealed a significance value of 0.000 < α (0.05) for both learning interest and learning outcomes. This indicates that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of the PBL model assisted by Powtoon media has a significant effect on improving students’ learning interest and learning outcomes compared to conventional learning on reaction rate material.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the need to improve the quality of learning evaluation in Mathematics and Natural Sciences (MIPA), particularly in achieving a balanced assessment across cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. The purpose of this study is to analyze the implementation of learning evaluation, including planning, execution, results, and follow-up actions at SMP Negeri 1 Situraja, Sumedang Regency. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive field research design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using inductive and deductive techniques. The findings reveal that the evaluation planning has been systematically developed and aligned with learning objectives. However, the implementation has not been fully optimal, as the assessment tends to focus more on the cognitive domain, while the affective and psychomotor aspects are not adequately measured and are not fully integrated into the final evaluation results. Despite these limitations, the overall learning outcomes indicate that most students have achieved the minimum competency standards. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a more comprehensive, balanced, and continuous evaluation system to better represent students' overall competencies and improve the quality of the learning process.
