Abstract

The social-emotional development of early childhood depends on a confident character. On the other hand, the phenomenon that occurred at PGRI Tunas 83 Kindergarten showed that students experienced self-confidence issues, characterized by shyness, dependence on teachers, and fear of trying new activities. The purpose of this study was to demonstrate the effectiveness of the learning-by-doing method in increasing children's self-confidence through real-life activities and experiences. This study used a descriptive qualitative methodology. The research subjects consisted of 29 students, with 12 children with low self-confidence as the main subjects. Observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation were used to collect data. To calculate the percentage increase in children's development, the data analysis technique used the Miles and Huberman model, supported by simple descriptive statistical analysis. The study showed that learning-by-doing, such as planting activities, conducting science experiments, and making art with loose parts media, increased children's self-confidence. Quantitatively, there was a significant increase in which 10 of the twelve children (83.3%) in the focus group showed positive behavioral changes. The overall level of students' self-confidence increased from 58.6% to 93.1%. Active activities that engage both physically and mentally can help children become more independent and responsible. In short, a learning-by-doing approach allows children to build independence through real-life success.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of instilling the values of faith and noble character in students through Aqidah Akhlak learning at Islamic schools. However, in practice, learning is often still focused on theoretical delivery and lacks connection with students’ real-life experiences, resulting in less optimal internalization of values. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the strategies of Aqidah Akhlak teachers, the implementation of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach, as well as the obstacles and efforts in instilling values of faith and noble character at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Nururrodhiyah Jambi City. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, involving the headmaster, teachers, and students. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The results show that teachers implement strategies by linking learning materials with real-life contexts through discussions, real examples, and habituation of moral behavior. The CTL approach encourages students to be more active and facilitates deeper understanding and internalization of values. However, challenges such as limited time, lack of learning media variation, and suboptimal student participation still occur. To address these issues, teachers provide motivation, relate materials to students’ environment, and develop more contextual learning methods. It can be concluded that the CTL-based strategy effectively supports meaningful learning and strengthens the internalization of faith and moral values in students’ daily lives.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education plays a strategic role in shaping students' religious character through the internalization of Islamic values ​​in learning activities. One form of implementation is the habituation of Quranic recitation and morning dhikr in the school environment. This study aims to describe the implementation of the habituation of Quranic recitation and morning dhikr, as well as teaching practices at Fajar Ilahi Sei Beduk School, while also analyzing its contribution to the formation of students' religious character. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with field research methods. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation, documentation, and literature review. The theoretical basis of this research refers to the concept of Islamic religious education, habituation methods, and the virtues of Quranic recitation and dhikr in moral development. The results show that the habituation of Quranic recitation and morning dhikr is carried out routinely and contributes positively to improving students' Quranic reading skills, spiritual peace, and religious attitudes. However, obstacles still arise due to differences in student backgrounds and abilities.

Abstract

The massive advancement of digital technology has driven the need for a transformation of learning approaches at the elementary school level, especially through the use of technology-based media that are relevant to the characteristics and needs of students. In the context of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) learning, especially on the subject of Getting to Know Energy, the process of delivering material is still dominated by conventional approaches, so that the abstract concept of energy cannot be optimally represented to students. Such conditions contribute to the low level of active involvement and conceptual understanding of students in the learning process in the classroom. This research aims to develop animation-based learning media by utilizing the Renderforest platform on the material Getting to Know Energy in grade III elementary school, as well as measuring the feasibility level of the media produced. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) which includes the stages of needs analysis, design design, product development, and validation by relevant experts. The data collection instrument is in the form of a questionnaire with a Likert scale which is given to validators of media experts and material experts, then the data is analyzed using quantitative descriptive techniques in the form of a percentage of eligibility. The results of the study showed that the animation learning media developed obtained a feasibility percentage of 96% based on the assessment of media experts and 98.66% based on the assessment of material experts, both in the very feasible category. The findings indicate that the animated video media developed not only meets the visual and technical quality aspects, but is also in line with the learning objectives and developmental characteristics of elementary school students. Thus, Renderforest-based animation media can be recommended as an alternative to supporting learning media in science science subjects that are more contextual, interactive, and communicative.

Abstract

The implementation of Hajj services is a form of public service that requires an effective and efficient information system. However, in practice, several challenges are still encountered in delivering information to prospective Hajj pilgrims, such as limited access, lack of information updates, and low digital literacy among some communities. This study aims to analyze the optimization of information media in improving services for prospective Hajj pilgrims at the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Sukabumi Regency. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that the use of digital-based information media such as websites and social media has improved the effectiveness and efficiency of services. Nevertheless, challenges remain, including limited digital literacy, internet accessibility issues, and irregular information updates. Therefore, optimization strategies are needed, such as enhancing human resource competencies, developing integrated information systems, and combining digital and conventional media to improve service quality for prospective Hajj pilgrims.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model and to improve student learning outcomes in the Science and Social Sciences (IPAS) subject for third-grade students at SDN Merjosari 3, Malang City. This research utilized the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method, conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of four stages: planning, acting, observing, and reflecting The subjects of this study were 28 third-grade students. Data collection techniques included observation, learning outcome tests, interviews, and documentation. The results indicated that the implementation of the PjBL model significantly improved student learning outcomes. This was evidenced by the increase in student learning mastery from 64.3% in the pre-cycle to 71.43% in Cycle I, further rising to 82.29% in Cycle II. This improvement demonstrates that the PjBL model effectively enhances student engagement and understanding during the learning process. Consequently, the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model serves as an effective instructional alternative to improve learning outcomes in IPAS for third-grade students at SDN Merjosari 3, Malang City

Abstract

This study seeks to evaluate how effective Digital Storytelling (DST) is in boosting speaking skills among elementary school students. It employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of recent scientific articles pulled from academic databases over the past five years. The article selection adhered to the PRISMA protocol to keep the analyzed data reliable and solid. Findings reveal that DST markedly enhances students' confidence, speaking fluency, and vocabulary grasp. Multimedia components like images, audio, and video in the storytelling make it easier for kids to picture their ideas compared to old-school approaches. On top of that, DST fosters an engaging and fun learning atmosphere, spurring students to join in actively. All in all, Digital Storytelling stands out as a fresh, powerful tool for tackling speaking challenges in elementary kids during this digital age.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the forms of politeness and impoliteness in netizen comments on TikTok regarding the Free Nutritious Meals program. The digital communication phenomenon on TikTok often gives rise to polarized opinions that impact people's choice of language style in the public sphere. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the data in this study consist of excerpts of comments containing evaluative content regarding the policy. The analysis was conducted by applying Leech's politeness principle theory, which includes the maxims of wisdom, generosity, praise, humility, agreement, and sympathy. The results show that although some comments fulfill the principles of politeness as a form of support for the program, there are still many violations of politeness, dominated by the maxims of agreement and praise. This impoliteness often manifests in the form of sarcasm, sharp criticism, and the use of informal diction that tends to be provocative. Factors causing this low politeness are influenced by user anonymity, differences in political views, and skepticism towards the program's implementation mechanisms in the field. This study concludes that TikTok's comment space on public policy issues still requires more in-depth digital literacy education to create a healthier and more civilized discussion climate.

Abstract

The professional development of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers continues to encounter obstacles in the integration of pedagogical competencies with critical reflection, which leads to learning that is less adaptive to the dynamics of modern education and is partial. The necessity of a conceptual paradigm that can systematically connect the dimensions of knowledge and reflective practice is suggested by this condition. It is the objective of this research to establish a conceptual framework for the professional development of PAI instructors that is founded on reflective practice and Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK). Using library research, the research employs a qualitative approach that involves the analysis and synthesis of pertinent literature. According to the research findings, the integration of reflective practice and PCK results in a professional development model that is holistic, dynamic, and cyclical. PCK serves as the cognitivepedagogical foundation, while reflection functions as an evaluative mechanism for continuous improvement. Teachers can cultivate learning that is more contextual, adaptive, and meaningful through the implementation of this model. The theoretical contributions of this research enrich the study of teacher professionalism, while also having practical implications for policymakers, educational institutions, and teachers in the development of more sustainable and effective professional development strategies.
