Abstract

This study aims to identify student errors in solving literacy and numeracy-based mathematics problems at the secondary school level through a literature review of relevant articles. The method employed is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) involving stages of searching, selection, extraction, and data synthesis. Consequently, 11 articles from the 2022-2026 period were filtered for analysis. The results of the study indicate that student errors predominantly center on the mathematical modeling process. Therefore, instructional strategy interventions that emphasize critical thinking processes and systematic modeling serve as a fundamental solution to improving students' numeracy achievements. The innovation of this research lies in its comprehensive synthesis through a systematic literature review approach that objectively maps students' hierarchical error patterns. This produces functional literacy-based pedagogical strategies that are more specific in mitigating epistemological barriers compared to conventional, theoretical learning approaches

Abstract

This study discusses the implementation of the Social Rehabilitation Assistance Program (ATENSI) by the Ministry of Social Affairs in fulfilling the rights of orphaned children in Merigi Sakti District, Central Bengkulu Regency. The background of this study highlights the high number of orphaned children who require state protection through targeted social programs. This research aims to analyze how the Social Rehabilitation Assistance Program is implemented in fulfilling children's rights to survival, development, protection, and participation. The theoretical framework focuses on policy implementation concepts, including stages of socialization, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and the legal basis of Minister of Social Affairs Regulation Number 7 of 2021. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach through interviews, observations, and documentation involving informants from program implementers, local government, and beneficiaries. The results show that the program implementation has been carried out through socialization processes, data verification, distribution of assistance, and periodic monitoring. The program provides tangible benefits in meeting educational, health, and basic needs of the beneficiary children. However, the study also identifies limitations in data validation, target distribution, and coordination among implementers. Overall, the Social Rehabilitation Assistance Program serves as an important instrument in the social protection of orphaned children, but it requires improvements in planning, evaluation, and expansion of coverage to ensure more optimal and equitable fulfillment of children's rights.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low level of conceptual understanding and suboptimal collaboration among fourth-grade students at Pagersari 02 Public Elementary School, which was attributed to the lack of variety in teaching models and learning media. The study aimed to determine the differences and effects of the Team Games Tournament (TGT) learning model supplemented with the Yabutin video on students’ conceptual understanding and collaboration. The research method employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group design. The research sample consisted of Class IVB as the experimental group and Class IVA as the control group, selected through purposive sampling. Data collection utilized a concept comprehension test and a questionnaire to measure collaboration. Data analysis techniques included the independent samples t-test and regression analysis. The results of the data analysis indicate that (1) There is a difference in conceptual understanding and collaboration. This is evidenced by the results of the independent samples t-test. (2) The results of the simple linear regression test indicate that the application of the TGT model supported by video has a significant effect on conceptual understanding and collaboration. The experimental class achieved significantly higher posttest scores compared to the control class. In conclusion, the use of the video-assisted TGT model by Yabutin enhances students’ conceptual understanding and collaboration skills.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of gamification learning methods on fifth-grade elementary school students' learning motivation in Civics Education (PKN) at Kassi-Kassi Elementary School. This study used a quantitative method with a pre-experimental design (one group pretest-posttest), where the experiment was conducted in one class with the same subject. Data were collected through learning motivation questionnaires administered before (pretest) and after (posttest) the implementation of the gamification method, supported by observation and documentation. The results showed an increase in student learning motivation after the implementation of gamification, as indicated by an increase in the average motivation score on the posttest compared to the pretest. Thus, it can be concluded that the gamification learning method has a positive influence on fifth-grade students' learning motivation in Civics.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the improvement of students' science process skills through the implementation of guided inquiry-based E-LKM on the material of mirror image formation. The research method used is pre-experimental with a one group pretest-posttest design. The subjects were 32 students of class VIII A MTSN 4 Surabaya City. The instruments used included a science process skills test, an observation sheet of learning implementation, and a student response questionnaire. Data were analyzed using N-Gain, the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, and a paired sample t-test. The results showed that the average pretest score of 41.33 increased to 80.31 in the posttest with an N-Gain value of 0.66 in the moderate category. The results of the statistical test showed a p value , which means there was a significant increase. Improvements also occurred in all indicators of science process skills, with high categories in the indicators of formulating problems and identifying variables. The implementation of learning was in the very good category and student responses showed positive results. Thus, guided inquiry-based E-LKM is effective in improving students' science process skills on the material of mirror image formation.

Abstract

Sejak usia dini, literasi dan numerasi merupakan fondasi penting bagi perkembangan kognitif dan kesiapan belajar anak. Keterampilan ini mencakup lebih dari sekadar membaca, menulis, dan berhitung (kalis); keterampilan ini juga mencakup pemahaman konsep, pola, dan pemikiran logis. Namun, dalam praktiknya, keterampilan ini seringkali dipersempit menjadi penguasaan kalis, sehingga menciptakan ketidaksesuaian antara tuntutan akademis dan tahapan perkembangan anak yang masih dalam fase bermain dan eksplorasi. Studi ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak tuntutan kalis terhadap perkembangan literasi dan numerasi anak usia dini. Dengan menggunakan riset pustaka, data sekunder dari literatur ilmiah yang relevan dianalisis melalui analisis isi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tuntutan kalis memiliki dampak yang kompleks. Meskipun pengenalan dini dapat meningkatkan kesiapan sekolah, tekanan berlebihan yang tidak sesuai dengan tahapan perkembangan anak dapat menyebabkan tekanan psikologis, stres akademis, dan penurunan minat belajar. Lebih lanjut, penekanan berlebihan pada kalis dapat menghambat perkembangan sosial-emosional dan mengurangi kesempatan untuk bermain kreatif. Oleh karena itu, pendekatan yang seimbang diperlukan untuk memastikan bahwa pengajaran tetap sesuai dengan perkembangan dan mendukung proses pembelajaran yang menyenangkan.

Abstract

This research aims to develop an interactive e-book on fantasy story texts based on Project-Based Learning (PjBL) assisted by digital comics for Grade VII students of SMP Negeri 7 Padang, and to describe the validity and practicality levels. The research employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Product validation was conducted by material and media experts, while practicality was measured through teacher and student response questionnaires. The results of material expert validation showed a percentage of 87.67% (Very Valid), and student practicality results reached 88.33% (Very Practical). The findings indicate that the developed interactive e-book meets quality standards and is suitable for implementation in fantasy story text learning. The integration of PjBL and digital comics has proven capable of increasing student learning motivation and active engagement in understanding fantasy story text material.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and formulate a learning strategy for Islamic education based on Wahyu Memandu Ilmu (WMI) as an effort to integrate the values ​​of revelation and the development of science in the era of globalization and digitalization. The method used is library research by reviewing various relevant literature, including books, scientific journal articles, and academic documents related to the concept of scientific integration, the epistemology of Islamic education, and learning strategies. The results of the study indicate that the WMI paradigm places revelation as the primary source in the development of science as well as a guideline in the learning process, thereby overcoming the dichotomy between religious knowledge and general knowledge. The WMI-based learning strategy emphasizes the integration of intellectual, spiritual, and moral dimensions through a holistic approach, and is implemented through adaptive and contextual learning methods such as the scientific approach, problem-based learning, and project-based learning. However, its implementation still faces various challenges, including limited understanding of educators, suboptimal development of an integrative curriculum, and minimal systemic support. Therefore, efforts are needed to strengthen educator capacity and reconstruct a curriculum based on scientific integration. Thus, the WMI-based Islamic education learning strategy has significant relevance in developing Islamic education that is holistic, integrative, and oriented towards the formation of perfect human beings.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the learning process and artistic outcomes from working with soft materials (clay) in the handicrafts lessons for Class VIII 1 at SMP Negeri 5 Padang Panjang under the Merdeka Curriculum. This study employs a qualitative method, whereby the researcher conducted fieldwork by collecting data through observation, interviews, literature review, and documentation. This handicrafts lesson was conducted over 8 sessions. Each session consisted of several stages: (1) Preparation, namely the preparation of the lesson plan and materials; (2) Introduction, namely taking attendance and saying a prayer; (3) Main activity, namely a lecture, question and answer session, and group practice making wall decorations from clay; (4) Conclusion, namely evaluation and setting homework. The research results show that students were able to produce six wall decoration pieces with diverse themes, such as floral landscapes and the underwater world. It is hoped that this research will provide theoretical and practical contributions to craft teachers.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of science learning in developing critical thinking skills of elementary school students. The problem addressed in this research is the low level of students’ critical thinking skills caused by teacher-centered learning and lack of meaningful learning experiences. This study employed a qualitative descriptive approach with subjects consisting of fifth-grade students and teachers at an elementary school. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that student-centered, contextual, and activity-based science learning significantly improves students’ critical thinking skills. This improvement is reflected in the increase of pretest and posttest scores with a moderate N-Gain category, as well as enhanced student participation in questioning, analyzing, and concluding. The use of experiments, cooperative learning, and contextual approaches based on local potential contributes to meaningful learning experiences and strengthens students’ understanding. Therefore, innovative and interactive science learning plays a crucial role in fostering critical thinking skills in elementary education.
