Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Plyometric Exercise on increasing sprint speed in fifth-grade students at Sdn Bontoramba, Pallangga District, Gowa Regency. The study used a quantitative approach with a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The research sample consisted of 33 fifth-grade students. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, pretest, providing treatment in the form of plyometric exercises (zig-zag run), and posttest. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Shapiro-Wilk normality test, and Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test with the help of SPSS 27. The results showed that the average pretest score of 65.48 increased to 79.85 in the posttest. All students experienced an increase in results without any decrease in scores. The results of the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test showed a significance value <0.001, which means there is a significant effect of plyometric exercise on increasing students' sprint speed. Thus, plyometric exercise is proven to be effective as a physical education learning method to improve sprint speed abilities in elementary school students.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has increased gadget use among elementary school students, which may influence their reading interest. This study aimed to analyze the impact of gadget use on students’ reading interest based on academic ability levels. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. The subjects consisted of homeroom teachers, Indonesian language teachers, and students categorized into high, medium, and low academic levels. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and questionnaires as supporting data. The data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results show that most students use gadgets daily with relatively high duration, primarily for entertainment purposes. High-achieving students tend to have controlled gadget use and high reading interest. Meanwhile, medium-level students show high gadget use and low reading interest, while low-level students demonstrate varied reading interest despite high gadget use. These findings indicate that the impact of gadget use on reading interest is not absolute but depends on students’ usage patterns and self-control.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the speaking skills of elementary school students in Indonesian language learning. The problem addressed in this study was the low level of students’ speaking skills, particularly in terms of confidence, fluency, and vocabulary mastery. Many students tend to feel nervous, shy, and lack confidence when speaking in front of the class, which affects their ability to express ideas effectively. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach involving 5 students and 1 teacher as research subjects. Data were collected through open-ended questionnaires using Google Forms and interviews to obtain in-depth information regarding students’ speaking skills. The results show that most students are still passive in speaking activities, have low confidence, and experience difficulties in organizing sentences and expressing ideas clearly. In addition, the learning process is still dominated by teacher-centered methods, which limit students’ opportunities to practice speaking. It is concluded that students’ speaking skills are still relatively low and need to be improved through the implementation of interactive and student-centered learning methods.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the improvement in science literacy skills of fifth-grade elementary school students through the application of Interactive Digital Storybooks based on Augmented Reality (AR) through deep learning. This research is based on the background of low literacy skills among students, which are influenced by conventional learning methods that lack context and are not yet optimal. The research method used is descriptive quantitative through a one group pretest-posttest design, namely one group of students is given a pretest, then given treatment in the form of the application of interactive digital storybook media based on AR through a deep learning approach, and then given a posttest. The subjects of this study were fifth grade students of SD. Data collection techniques were carried out through science literacy skill tests and questionnaires on student responses to the application of learning media. Data analysis was carried out based on quantitative descriptive by comparing the results of the pretest with the posttest and calculating the percentage increase in science literacy skills. The results of the study proved that there was an increase in students' science literacy skills after the application of the learning media, as evidenced by the posttest scores being higher than the pretest scores. In addition, the students' responses to the use of the media were in the very good category. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the media.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the characteristics of Sungai muluk Village and to evaluate the menagement of Village Funds in supporting rural development in Muara papalik Subdistrict, Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency. A descriptive qualitative approach was applied using APBDes data from 2020-2024, observation, and information from village offcials. The result show that the village population is largely composed of individuals in productive age groups, with agriculture as the primary livelihood. The Village Fund allocation increased annually, although the percentage growth varied. The funds were utilizes for infrastructure development and community empowerment programs, including red ginger powder production, livestock fattening, watermelon agro-tourism, and corn-based food security initiatives. However, several planned activities were not fully implemented, indication the need for improved planning and supervision. Overall, the village Fund has supported the progress of Sungai Muluk Village toward better development and greater self-realiance.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the application of the TGT model assisted by the snake and ladder game on the ability to write explanatory texts of class IX students of UPT SPF SMP Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan. The study population was 351 students with samples taken randomly, namely the experimental class IX-9 totaling 34 students and the control class IX-11 totaling 30 students. This study used an experimental method with a two-group post-test design, where the test was only conducted once after the treatment was given. The results showed that the ability to write explanatory texts of students in the experimental class using the TGT model assisted by the snake and ladder game obtained an average score of 81.09 included in the good category. Meanwhile, the control class using the direct learning model obtained an average score of 67.13 included in the sufficient category. Based on the results of the hypothesis test using the t test, the t count value was 5.39. This value was then compared with the t table at a significance level of 5% with degrees of freedom (df) 62, which was 2.00. Because the calculated t value is greater than the t table (5.39 > 2.00), the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that the TGT model assisted by the snakes and ladders game is more effective than the direct learning model in improving the ability to write explanatory texts.

Abstract

Elementary school curricula must be flexible and adaptable to changes over time due to the quick development of social dynamics and technology. The Merdeka Curriculum has been designed to enhance flexibility, creativity, and 21st-century competencies; however, its implementation still faces various challenges. This literature study analyzes the alignment of the elementary school curriculum with social and technological developments by utilizing data from relevant scientific journals and research articles. The findings indicate that, although the curriculum has been designed to be adaptive, its implementation remains limited by factors such as teachers’ competencies, facilities, and support from the educational environment. Therefore, continuous adjustments are necessary to improve the curriculum’s alignment with ongoing social and technological changes. These adjustments can be achieved through improving teacher competencies, developing educational facilities, and strengthening collaboration between schools and the community, so that the elementary school curriculum becomes more effective in enhancing students’ knowledge and skills.

Abstract

The low level of students’ understanding of the Human Digestive System material in IPAS learning motivated this study. The use of Augmented Reality (AR) as a learning medium was selected as an alternative to help students understand concepts in a more concrete and engaging way. This study aims to improve students’ understanding through the implementation of AR in learning the human digestive system at the elementary school level. This research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR), conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of this study were 22 fifth-grade students. Data were collected through pre-tests, post-tests, observations, and documentation.The results showed an improvement in students’ understanding after the implementation of AR. The average score increased from 39,95 in the pre-test to 66,13 in Cycle I and further improved to 88,09 in Cycle II. These findings indicate that the use of AR media is effective in enhancing students’ understanding of the human digestive system in IPAS learning at the elementary school level.Keywords: Augmented Reality, Learning Outcomes, Human Digestive System, IPAS (Integrated Science), Elementary School. ABSTRAKRendahnya tingkat pemahaman siswa terhadap materi Sistem Pencernaan Manusia pada pembelajaran IPAS melatarbelakangi penelitian ini. Pemanfaatan media pembelajaran Augmented Reality (AR) dipilih sebagai alternatif untuk membantu siswa memahami konsep yang lebih konkret dan menarik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa melalui penerapan AR pada materi sistem pencernaan pada manusia di sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, masing-masing meliputi tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan Tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V yang berjumlah 22 Siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui pretest, post-test, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman siswa setelah penggunaan AR. Nilai rata-rata siswa sebelum tindakan sebesar 39,95 meningkat pada siklus I menjadi 66,13 dan kembali meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 84,09. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan media AR efektif dalam membantu siswa memahami materi sistem pencernaan manusia pada pembelajaran IPAS di sekolah dasar. Abstract

The Industrial Revolution 4.0 demands vocational students to possess adaptive technical and soft skills. This study aims to determine the effect of the managerial competence of the Head of the Expertise Program on the success of Field Work Practice (PKL) for students of Automation and Office Management (OTKP) at SMK 2 PGRI Karawang. This research uses a quantitative approach with an explanatory survey method. The study population consisted of 160 students from class XI OTKP, with a sample of 62 students determined through the Slovin formula. Data were collected using questionnaires with a 4-point Likert scale, observations, and documentation. The analytical techniques applied included descriptive statistics, classical assumption tests, and simple linear regression. The findings indicate that the managerial competence of the Head of the Expertise Program, which includes dimensions such as integrity, communication, and decision-making, has a significant influence on the success of PKL. Effective management ensures industrial placement suitability, intensive mentoring, and the achievement of student work competencies. Thus, improving managerial competence is essential to optimizing the link and match between vocational education and industrial needs.

Abstract

Introduction: The incomplete foundation of reading, writing, and arithmetic (reading, writing, and arithmetic) in public junior high schools in East Kalimantan is crucial for school management to develop strategies to address this issue, while maintaining budget efficiency. The purpose of this research is to use the TOC approach as a solution. Method: The research employed a phenomenological approach, a systematic literature review procedure, and relevant keywords. Results: The research indicates that the incomplete foundation of reading, writing, and arithmetic can be addressed through the use of the TOC strategy. Discussion: The TOC stages of the education financing strategy are: identify, exploit, subordinate, elevate, and repeat. Currently, the foundation of reading, writing, and arithmetic is crucial, as previous studies have shown.
