Abstract

The success of the learning process is significantly influenced by the students' enthusiasm in what they are studying. Students' focus and excitement for studying may be increased by using interactive and captivating learning resources. Animated video is one such medium as it makes the content easier to understand and shows it graphically. Thus, the purpose of this study was to ascertain how well animated video content affected fifth-grade science students' attention. In this work, an experimental method was combined with a quantitative approach. A control class and an experimental class, each with 24 pupils, made up the sample. A learning interest questionnaire was employed for data collection, and it was given as a pretest and posttest. Independent sample t-tests, homogeneity tests, and normality tests were used to examine the data. According to the findings, the experimental class's average posttest score was 43.04167, which was higher than the control group's average score of 38.54167. The significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) obtained from the hypothesis test was 0.009 < 0.05. Therefore, it can be said that using animated video content increases fifth-grade kids' interest in studying science. Keywords: animated video, interest in learning, science.

Abstract

Nhabila Putri. 2026. Evaluation of the Implementation of the Education Management Information System (EMIS): A Multi-Case Study at Attaqwa Panaikang Private Islamic Elementary School in Makassar City and Karama Private Islamic Elementary School in Bulukumba Regency (supervised by Muhammad Ardiansyah and Ansar). This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the Education Management Information System (EMIS) as a school management information system at Attaqwa Panaikang Private Islamic Elementary School in Makassar City and Karama Private Islamic Elementary School in Bulukumba Regency, as well as to analyze the supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a multi-case study design. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation, with data validity tested through triangulation of sources, techniques, and time. Data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman model through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The implementation evaluation is conducted using the CIPP model (Context, Input, Process, Product). The results show that the implementation of EMIS in both madrasahs has been carried out well in supporting administrative processes and data reporting. Attaqwa Panaikang demonstrates more optimal implementation due to adequate infrastructure, competent operators, and a structured work system, thereby improving efficiency and data accuracy. Meanwhile, Karama continues to implement EMIS despite facing challenges such as limited internet access, equipment, and human resource training. Supporting factors include the commitment of the principal, compliance with policies, and collaboration between teachers and operators, while inhibiting factors include limited infrastructure, uneven information technology competence, and operator workload. Overall, EMIS improves administrative order, but its utilization remains limited to administrative aspects and has not been fully optimized as a basis for data-driven decision making.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine students’ creative thinking levels before and after the implementation of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model assisted by infographic media, and to examine the improvement of creative thinking skills in thermodynamics learning among class XI students at SMA Negeri 13 Takalar. This research employed an experimental method using a One Group Pre-Test Post-Test Design. The population consisted of all class XI students at SMA Negeri 13 Takalar, while the sample included one class of 26 students selected through purposive sampling. The research instruments were a creative thinking test administered as a pretest and posttest, and an observation sheet used to monitor students’ activities during the learning process. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and the N-Gain test to measure the improvement in students’ creative thinking skills. The findings revealed that students’ creative thinking levels before the implementation of the PjBL model assisted by infographic media were categorized as low, with an average score of 39.07. After the implementation of the learning model, the average posttest score increased to 75.35, indicating a creative category. Furthermore, the N-Gain analysis produced an average score of 0.56, categorized as moderate, showing that the learning model effectively improved students’ creative thinking skills. Therefore, the results of this study can serve as a reference for teachers and future researchers in applying PjBL assisted by infographic media. This approach also encouraged active participation, collaboration, and better understanding of thermodynamics concepts during classroom learning activities among students at school.

Abstract

This article evaluates the effect of Canva-based interactive learning media on the science learning achievement of fourth-grade students at Muhammadiyah Ngluwar Elementary School, Magelang. The problem is based on suboptimal student achievement due to a lack of media innovation in the classroom. Using a quasi-experimental approach with a nonequivalent control group design, this study involved 56 respondents distributed into two classes. Data evaluation techniques were conducted through a series of statistical tests, including normality tests, homogeneity tests, independent sample t-tests, and N-Gain and effect size calculations. Empirical findings demonstrated an advantage for the experimental class, with an average score of 82.50 compared to the control class, with a score of 67.86. A significance level of 0.000 supported the hypothesis. Although competency growth through N-Gain was moderate, the effect size of 1.192 indicated a high influence of this media. Overall, the use of Canva as an interactive media has proven effective in improving students’ academic achievement in science.

Abstract

Language development in early childhood constitutes one of the most fundamental aspects of child development, as it serves as the primary medium for self-expression and social interaction. This study aims to describe the implementation of storytelling activities during circle time and to analyze their contribution to the language development of early childhood at RA Muslimat Al Utsmani Gejlig Kajen. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were gathered through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The validity of data was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The subjects consisted of 15 children aged 4–5 years. The results show that storytelling activities conducted within the circle time framework effectively enhanced children's language competencies, particularly in the domains of listening comprehension and oral expression. Approximately 66% of children demonstrated the ability to follow the story's narrative, respond to the teacher's questions, and retell stories using their own words. Meanwhile, 20% required additional prompting, and 14% still experienced challenges in maintaining concentration and speaking confidently. These findings affirm that interactive storytelling within a circle time setting creates a conducive and enjoyable learning environment that stimulates children's active participation and enriches vocabulary. It is recommended that future research employ experimental or quasi-experimental designs to further validate the effectiveness of this approach.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the improvement ofstudents’ conceptual understanding on socialinteraction and social institution materials through theGiving Question and Getting Answer (GQGA) methodin class VIIA of SMP IT Najaahaan Bayongbong, identify the implementation of the method in increasingstudents’ activeness and participation, examine theobstacles faced in implementing the method, andanalyze the teacher’s efforts to overcome theseobstacles. This research used a Classroom ActionResearch (CAR) method with a descriptive qualitativeapproach. Data collection techniques were carried outthrough observation, interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed using the Miles andHuberman analysis technique, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the implementation of the GivingQuestion and Getting Answer method was able toimprove students’ conceptual understanding of socialinteraction and social institution materials. Studentsbecame more active in asking and answeringquestions, participating in discussions, and explainingthe material they had learned. In addition, this methodalso increased students’ confidence and participationduring the learning process. The obstacles found in implementing this method included students’ lack ofself-confidence, limited learning time, and differencesin students’ abilities in understanding the material. To overcome these obstacles, the teacher providedmotivation, additional guidance, formed study groups, and managed learning time more effectively. Based onthe results of the study, it can be concluded that theGiving Question and Getting Answer method iseffective in social studies learning to improve students’ conceptual understanding, activeness, andparticipation in class VIIA of SMP IT NajaahaanBayongbong.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of group counseling using the Behavior Contract technique in improving the discipline of eighth-grade students at MTs Negeri 2 Pontianak. The study employed an experimental method with a pre-experimental design, specifically a one-group pretest–posttest design. The sample was selected using a purposive sampling technique, consisting of seven students who exhibited the lowest levels of discipline based on records of tardiness and rule violations among eighth-grade students.The results indicated that the mean pretest score of students’ discipline was 42, which was categorized as low, while the posttest mean score increased to 65, categorized as high. Statistical analysis using the paired-samples t-test revealed a significance value of 0.004 (p < 0.05), indicating a statistically significant difference between students’ discipline levels before and after the intervention.These findings suggest that the application of the Behavior Contract technique is effective in improving students’ discipline, particularly in terms of attendance and compliance with school dress regulations. Therefore, it can be concluded that group counseling using the Behavior Contract technique is effective in enhancing the discipline of eighth-grade students at MTs Negeri 2 Pontianak.

Abstract

This study employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) to examine the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in supporting self-regulated learning (SRL) among senior high school students in online mathematics learning. Using the PRISMA 2020 guidelines, 45 initial articles were identified and screened into 16 empirical studies that met the inclusion criteria. The findings showed that AI technologies, such as adaptive learning systems, Intelligent Tutoring Systems (ITS), generative AI, and learning analytics, positively supported students’ SRL through personalized feedback, adaptive scaffolding, and real-time monitoring. AI also facilitated socially shared regulation of learning (SSRL) in collaborative online learning. However, excessive dependence on generative AI may reduce students’ learning autonomy if not supported by proper pedagogical supervision. Overall, AI has strong potential to support adaptive, collaborative, and student-centered online mathematics learning. These findings provide practical implications for mathematics teachers in Indonesia to integrate AI as a pedagogical support tool that encourages students’ learning independence and collaborative engagement.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of integrating pesantren values into Vocational High School (SMK) education, which tends to be oriented towards work skills and industry needs. In this context, the leadership of the Kiai plays a strategic role in maintaining the balance between vocational education and the development of students' religious character. This study aims to analyze the leadership of the Kiai as a transformational leader in the integration of pesantren values in SMK education at Pondok Pesantren Bustanul Hikmah. The research uses a qualitative approach. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation involving Kiai, school principals, teachers, and students. Data analysis was carried out through data condensation, data display, and drawing conclusions. The research results indicate that the leadership of Kiai reflects dimensions of transformational leadership, namely idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration. The integration of pesantren values is carried out through learning, habituation, and school culture. The exemplary role of Kiai, religious programs, openness to innovation and deliberation, as well as a structured coaching system are important factors in the internalization of pesantren values. This study concludes that the transformational leadership of Kiai plays a significant role in shaping pesantren-based vocational education that can balance students' vocational competence and religious character.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the application of the Radec learning model assisted by media games in the form of a wordwall application on the learning outcomes of students in the subject of social studies in grade V at the SPF Unit of Elementary School Inpres Bertingkat Kaluku Bodoa. The background of this study is based on the low learning outcomes of students due to the lack of use of learning media and not varied. This study used a pre-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research sample consisted of 28 students who applied the SPF Unit of Elementary School Inpres Bertingkat Kaluku Bodoa. Data were collected through pretests and posttests, and analyzed using the n-Gain test using SPSS. The results showed a significant improvement in student learning outcomes. The average posttest score increased from 55.96 to 85.03. The n-Gain test showed a Gain value of g > 0.70 for 10 students and 0.30 ≤ g < 0.70 for 18 students, indicating that the implementation of the Radec learning model, supported by games in the form of a wordwall application, significantly improved student learning outcomes. The conclusion of this study confirms that the implementation of the Radec learning model, supported by games in the form of a wordwall application, can improve student learning outcomes in science. The implication of this research is the need for innovative, technology-based learning media to enhance the effectiveness of learning in elementary schools.
