Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh latihan reaction time terhadap kemampuan receive dalam permainan bola voli. Bola voli merupakan olahraga yang membutuhkan kecepatan gerak, koordinasi tubuh, konsentrasi, dan kemampuan merespons bola secara cepat. Salah satu faktor yang mendukung keberhasilan receive adalah kemampuan reaction time pemain. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi literatur. Data diperoleh dari pemain dan praktisi bola voli yang memahami pelaksanaan latihan reaction time dalam pembinaan bola voli. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa latihan reaction time memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan receive pemain. Pemain yang memiliki waktu reaksi baik mampu lebih cepat mengantisipasi arah datangnya bola, menyesuaikan posisi tubuh, dan mengontrol bola dengan lebih akurat. Bentuk latihan yang efektif meliputi drill stimulus visual, latihan tangkap bola reaksi, dan latihan passing dari berbagai arah secara mendadak. Selain itu, faktor koordinasi gerak, konsentrasi, pengalaman bermain, dan teknik dasar juga memengaruhi kemampuan receive pemain. Oleh karena itu, latihan reaction time perlu diterapkan secara rutin dan terstruktur dalam program latihan bola voli untuk meningkatkan kualitas receive pemain.

Abstract

Project-Based Learning (PBL) is a learner-centered approach to learning that has the potential to support deep learning through active, collaborative, and contextual learning experiences. However, research on the implementation of PBL in supporting deep learning, as well as teachers’ understanding of the relationship between these two concepts in English language learning, remains limited. This study aims to examine the implementation of Project-Based Learning in supporting Deep Learning and to explore teachers’ understanding of the relationship between PBL and Deep Learning. The study employed a qualitative approach using a case study design at Mutiara Terpadu High School in Palabuhanratu. Data were collected through classroom observations, semi-structured interviews, and document analysis, and were subsequently analyzed using thematic analysis. The research findings indicate that the implementation of PBL supports deep learning through discussions, pair work, group projects, presentations, peer assessment, reflection, and individual assignments, which foster meaningful learning, mindful learning, joyful learning, collaboration, critical thinking, problem-solving, knowledge transfer, reflection, and deep conceptual understanding. In addition, teachers have a comprehensive understanding of the relationship between PBL and Deep Learning, emphasizing the importance of student-centered learning, meaningful learning experiences, the development of higher-order thinking skills, as well as continuous facilitation and reflection. Thus, the implementation of Project-Based Learning contributes to creating meaningful and authentic English language learning that supports the development of Deep Learning.

Abstract

In the age range of 4-6 years, children begin to develop social skills through interaction in the school environment. Social studies (IPS) learning in early childhood education is not presented explicitly as an independent subject but is integrated into various learning activities, one of which is role-play. This study aims to determine how social studies learning is implemented in the role-play center and to identify the branches of social science that emerge within it. A descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach was used. Data were collected through structured observation, structured interviews, field notes, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, with credibility established through prolonged engagement, persistence, source and technique triangulation, member checks, negative case analysis, and referential material. The subjects were the school principal, teachers, and children of Group B at Pembina Cibeber State Kindergarten, Cilegon City, Banten. The results show that social studies learning has been implemented in an integrated manner through three stages: planning, implementation, and evaluation, although its application is not yet evenly distributed across all learning themes. All branches of social studies-history, geography, economics, sociology, and anthropology-emerged contextually through role-play activities such as buying and selling, introducing locations and historical figures, cooperation, conflict resolution, and the introduction of local culture and traditions.

Abstract

The increasing competition in the beverage industry requires businesses to implement effective marketing strategies to influence consumers' purchasing decisions. Packaging and promotion are considered important factors that can affect consumers' buying decisions. This study aims to analyze the effect of packaging and promotion on purchasing decisions for Sirup Cap Mawar in Gampong Raya Tambo, Bireuen Regency. This research employed a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design. The sample consisted of 96 respondents selected using accidental sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression, t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination (R²). The results indicate that packaging has a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions (t = 3.655; p < 0.05), while promotion has a positive and significant effect with a more dominant influence (t = 12.662; p < 0.05). Simultaneously, packaging and promotion significantly affect purchasing decisions (F = 226.924; p < 0.05). The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.830 indicates that 83.0% of the variation in purchasing decisions is explained by packaging and promotion, while the remaining 17.0% is influenced by other factors. Therefore, improving packaging quality and implementing effective promotional strategies can increase consumers' purchasing decisions for Sirup Cap Mawar.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the limited use of innovative learning media in Social Studies instruction on the topic of buying and selling for fourth-grade elementary school students. Classroom learning was still dominated by conventional teaching methods, resulting in low student engagement and unsatisfactory learning outcomes. This study aimed to develop an interactive e-book as a learning medium, determine its feasibility, examine students' responses, and evaluate its effectiveness in improving learning outcomes. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which consists of the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages. The research participants included material experts, media experts, language experts, a fourth-grade teacher, and fourth-grade students at SDN 274 Cempaka Arum. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, tests, and documentation. Qualitative and quantitative descriptive analyses were conducted, while the effectiveness of the developed media was analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test and N-Gain analysis. The results indicated that the interactive e-book was feasible for classroom use, with validation scores of 68.75% from the material expert, 90.74% from the media expert, and 86.11% from the language expert. Students also gave highly positive responses to the developed media. Furthermore, the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test showed a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant improvement in students' learning outcomes. The average N-Gain score of 0.9020 was categorized as high. Therefore, the interactive e-book is considered feasible and effective for supporting Social Studies learning on the topic of buying and selling in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe employees' perceptions of the implementation of digital-based organizational communication at the Education and Culture Office of Padang Pariaman Regency. Digital-based organizational communication plays an important role in supporting information delivery, work coordination, communication responsiveness, and the effectiveness of organizational performance. This research employed a descriptive quantitative approach. The population consisted of 115 employees, with a sample of 89 respondents selected using the Proportional Stratified Random Sampling technique. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire that had met the requirements of validity and reliability. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics by calculating the mean score and respondents' achievement level.The results indicated that the implementation of digital-based organizational communication at the Education and Culture Office of Padang Pariaman Regency was generally categorized as effective, with an overall mean score of 4.19. Based on the research indicators, information clarity obtained a mean score of 4.16 (effective), communication responsiveness scored 4.06 (effective), work coordination scored 4.24 (very effective), and digital media utilization scored 4.31 (very effective). These findings indicate that digital-based organizational communication has supported effective information dissemination, strengthened work coordination, and optimized the use of digital media in employees' daily activities. Therefore, continuous improvement in information clarity and communication responsiveness is recommended to further enhance organizational communication effectiveness.

Abstract

Proses pemilihan siswa berprestasi di MTs Mathla'ul Anwar Kedondong, Lampung masih dilakukan secara manual menggunakan buku induk, sehingga memerlukan waktu lama, rentan kesalahan manusia, dan berpotensi menimbulkan subjektivitas dalam penilaian. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang dan membangun Sistem Pendukung Keputusan (SPK) berbasis web untuk membantu pihak sekolah menentukan siswa berprestasi secara objektif dan transparan menggunakan metode Profile Matching. Metode ini bekerja dengan membandingkan profil aktual siswa dengan profil ideal sekolah melalui perhitungan nilai kesenjangan (gap) pada 12 kriteria penilaian yang mencakup aspek kecerdasan, kedisiplinan, dan sikap. Desain sistem menggunakan UML yang meliputi Use Case Diagram, Activity Diagram, dan Class Diagram. Sistem dikembangkan berbasis web menggunakan PHP dan MySQL. Pengujian dilakukan menggunakan Black Box Testing. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem mampu melakukan perhitungan otomatis mulai dari pemetaan gap, pembobotan, pengelompokan Core Factor dan Secondary Factor, hingga menghasilkan perangkingan siswa berdasarkan nilai akhir tertinggi. Implementasi sistem terbukti meningkatkan efisiensi proses seleksi, mengurangi kesalahan perhitungan manual, serta menghasilkan keputusan yang akurat, objektif, dan dapat dipertanggungjawabkan secara ilmiah.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of using Liveworksheet-based Electronic Student Worksheets (E-LKPD) on fifth-grade students' conceptual understanding in Science and Social Studies (IPAS) learning at public elementary schools in Bengkulu City. This research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with the Matching Only Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The population of this study consisted of fifth-grade students from public elementary schools in Bengkulu City accredited with grade B and implementing the Merdeka Curriculum. The research samples were fifth-grade students of SDN 35 Bengkulu City as the experimental group and fifth-grade students of SDN 99 Bengkulu City as the control group, selected through the Cluster Random Sampling technique. The research instrument used to measure conceptual understanding was an essay test based on the SOLO Taxonomy, administered in the form of pretests and posttests. The data were analyzed quantitatively using descriptive statistics and prerequisite tests. The average posttest score obtained by the control group was 71.09, while the experimental group achieved an average score of 79.29. Hypothesis testing was conducted using an independent samples t-test. The results showed that the significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) was 0.022, which was lower than 0.05 at the 5% significance level. This indicates a significant difference in the mean scores between the experimental and control groups due to the different treatments applied. The experimental group, which used Liveworksheet-based E-LKPD, demonstrated better conceptual understanding than the control group. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of Liveworksheet-based E-LKPD has a significant effect on students' conceptual understanding in IPAS learning among fifth-grade students at public elementary schools in Bengkulu City.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze early reading difficulties among second-grade elementary school students and to identify the contributing factors and the strategies teachers use to address them. This study employs a qualitative approach using the case study method, conducted at SD Negeri Cukir 1 in Jombang. The research subjects consisted of classroom teachers and students experiencing reading difficulties. Data collection techniques included interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis utilized an interactive model comprising data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results indicate that students’ reading difficulties include an inability to recognize letters, errors in word pronunciation, difficulty combining syllables, low reading fluency, and a lack of comprehension of the text’s content. The factors contributing to reading difficulties include internal factors, such as low interest and motivation to learn, as well as external factors, such as a lack of variety in teaching methods and insufficient support from the family environment. Efforts made by teachers to address these difficulties include the use of varied teaching methods, providing intensive reading guidance, and utilizing engaging learning materials. Thus, adaptive teaching strategies and optimal environmental support are necessary to improve the early reading skills of elementary school students.

Abstract

Novels, as literary works, function not only as a medium of entertainment but also as representations of various life values constructed through a system of signs. A semiotic approach allows for the interpretation of the meanings contained in these signs, allowing for a deeper understanding of the moral, social, and cultural values conveyed by the author. This study aims to describe the semiotic interpretation of moral, social, and cultural values in Tere Liye's novel Si Putih. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a semiotic approach. The data source is Tere Liye's novel Si Putih, while the research data consist of words, phrases, sentences, dialogue, narratives, and character actions that represent signs containing moral, social, and cultural values. Data collection techniques were conducted through literature review, reading techniques, and note-taking techniques. While data analysis was conducted through the processes of identification, classification, interpretation, and drawing conclusions based on the concepts of signifier and signified. The results show that moral values are represented through signs depicting sacrifice, courage, honesty in admitting mistakes, concern for the environment, and sincerity in separation. Social values are reflected in empathy, social awareness, loyalty, reciprocity, mutual respect, courtesy, discipline, curiosity, and a spirit of mutual assistance, all of which are manifested through interactions between characters. Cultural values are evident in traditions of hospitality, the habit of helping each other, respecting guests, the use of technology in community life, and conflict resolution through cultural values. Semiotic analysis shows that the signs constructed by the author function as a medium for conveying meaning that deeply represents life values. Thus, the novel *Si Putih* presents not only an adventure story but also serves as a medium for reflection on character formation and the preservation of moral, social, and cultural values in community life.
