Abstract

Special Education Teachers (SET) face unique complexities in carrying out their professional duties, particularly in implementing professional ethics that align with the needs of students with special needs (SSN) in Special Schools (SLB). Regulations such as Law Number 14 of 2005 concerning Teachers and Lecturers, as well as the Regulation of the Minister of National Education Number 16 of 2007, have not fully addressed the challenges encountered in the field. This study aims to examine the implementation of professional ethics among SET teachers during the learning process, identify the challenges faced in meeting professional ethical standards, and analyze efforts to develop teacher professionalism as a response to these challenges. This study employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of published scientific articles between 2015 and 2026, sourcedaccessed through Google Scholar databases and other credible sources. The findings indicate that although SET teachers possess a deep understanding ofstudents with special needs and professional codes of ethics, their implementation in practice remains suboptimal. The phenomenon of burnout poses a significant threat to the practitioner integrity by teachers in special schools. This study concludes that there is a need for systems that enhance teacher welfare, continuous competency-based inclusive training, and more contextual regulatory updates to ensure that professional ethics among SET teachers can be implemented consistently and with high quality.

Abstract

Entrepreneurial interest among adolescents is an important factor in fostering young entrepreneurs. However, many adolescents still have limited practical experience and confidence to start a business. This study aimed to analyze the effect of local rattan handicraft training on the entrepreneurial interest of adolescents in Rumbai District, Pekanbaru City. The study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a one-group pretest–posttest design. The sample consisted of 30 adolescents aged 15–24 years selected through total sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire measuring entrepreneurial interest before and after the training. The instrument was tested for validity and reliability, while data analysis included descriptive statistics, the Shapiro–Wilk normality test, paired sample t-test, and simple linear regression. The results showed that the average entrepreneurial interest score increased from 80.56 before the training to 105.26 after the training, with a mean increase of 24.70 points. The paired sample t-test indicated a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores (p < 0.001). Furthermore, simple linear regression analysis revealed that the quality of local rattan handicraft training had a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial interest (β = 1.009; p < 0.001). These findings indicate that practice-based training utilizing local economic potential effectively enhances adolescents' entrepreneurial interest. Therefore, local rattan handicraft training can serve as an alternative strategy to empower adolescents by improving their entrepreneurial skills, self-confidence, and readiness to establish independent businesses.
