Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Think-Pair-Share (TPS) learning model on student learning outcomes in the "Fundamentals of Office Management and Business Services" subject for Grade X students at SMK Negeri 1 Teluk Mengkudu. The study was motivated by low student motivation and learning outcomes with many students scoring below the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM) of 75 resulting in a 62.5% non-mastery rate attributed to the dominance of conventional (lecture-based) teaching methods. A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design (Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design) was employed. The study population comprised all 64 Grade X Office Management students from the 2025/2026 academic year, selected via a saturated sampling technique and divided into two groups: Class X ADP 1 served as the experimental group (32 students) taught using the Think-Pair-Share model, while Class X ADP 2 served as the control group (32 students) taught using the lecture method. Data collection utilized multiple-choice learning outcome tests (pretest and posttest). Data analysis was conducted using simple linear regression and t-tests. The results showed an increase in the experimental group's average score from 62.75 (pretest) to 81.5 (posttest). Regression analysis yielded the equation Y = 70.72 + 0.1718X with a coefficient of determination (R-squared) of 0.436, indicating that the Think-Pair-Share model contributed 43.6% to student learning outcomes. Hypothesis testing revealed a calculated t-value of 4.818, which exceeded the t-table value of 1.697 at a significance level of alpha = 0.05 (p = 0.000 < 0.05). Thus, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected, demonstrating that the application of the Think-Pair-Share learning model has a positive and significant effect on student learning outcomes in the "Fundamentals of Office Management and Business Services" subject for Grade X students at SMK Negeri 1 Teluk Mengkudu.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of the Deep Learning model on the economics learning outcomes of Grade X students at SMA Pembangunan Nasional Pagar Merbau (PEMNAS) during the 2025/2026 academic year. The study employs a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental design, specifically the Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population consists of all Grade X students at the school, comprising two classes with a total of 60 students. A total sampling technique was used, designating Class X-1 (30 students) as the experimental group applying the Deep Learning model and Class X-2 (30 students) as the control group applying the conventional learning model. Data were collected using economics learning outcome instruments specifically pre-tests and post-tests that met validity and reliability requirements. Data analysis techniques included simple linear regression analysis, the t-test (partial test), and the calculation of the coefficient of determination (R²). The results indicate that the average post-test score in the experimental class (78.27) showed a significantly greater increase compared to the average pre-test score (60.80), with a gain of 17.47 points; meanwhile, the control class saw an increase from an average pre-test score of 61.60 to an average post-test score of 71.73, a gain of 10.13 points. Simple linear regression analysis yielded the equation Y = 48.79 + 0.485X. Hypothesis testing via the t-test resulted in a calculated t-value of 4.693 (or 5.76 in manual calculation), which exceeds the t-table value of 1.701 at a significance level of α = 0.05 and degrees of freedom (df) of 28 (p = 0.000 < 0.05). These findings indicate that the null hypothesis (H₀) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Hₐ) is accepted. Furthermore, the coefficient of determination (R-squared) value of 0.440 indicates that the implementation of the Deep Learning instructional model contributes 44% to the improvement of students' economics learning outcomes, while the remaining 56% is influenced by other internal and external factors. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Deep Learning instructional model has a positive and significant effect on the economics learning outcomes of Grade X students at SMA Pembangunan Nasional Pagar Merbau (PEMNAS).

Abstract

Fatigue is a common physiological response that occurs after physical exercise and can reduce performance as well as hinder the body's recovery process. One method frequently used to accelerate recovery is active recovery, which involves performing low-intensity physical activity after the main exercise session. This study aimed to determine the effect of active recovery on reducing post-exercise fatigue. The research employed an experimental design involving a single group that received an active recovery treatment after completing physical exercise. Fatigue levels were measured using recovery heart rate and the Rating of Perceived Exertion (RPE) scale. The results showed that active recovery significantly reduced fatigue levels compared to the condition before treatment. Active recovery helped improve blood circulation, accelerate lactate removal, and enhance the recovery of muscle function after exercise. Therefore, active recovery can be used as an effective recovery strategy to reduce fatigue and support improvements in physical performance.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The age of 6–8 years is a rapid growth phase marked by neuromuscular coordination acceleration and intensive nerve myelination. At this phase, mastery of fundamental movement skills (FMS) encompassing locomotor, non-locomotor, and manipulative skills lays the foundation for lifelong sports ability and active lifestyle. However, existing research mostly measures motor achievement quantitatively and neglects the subjective experiential dimension of children themselves. This study aims to explore and interpret the essential structure of FMS learning experiences from the perspective of 6–8-year-old children at SDN 064976 Medan through a transcendental phenomenological qualitative approach (Moustakas, 1994). The study involved eight participants (Grade 1–2 students) purposively selected based on rapid growth criteria, communication ability, and parental consent. Data were collected through activity-based semi-structured interviews, participatory observation, and drawing-telling technique. Data analysis followed Moustakas procedures: epoche, horizontalization, meaning clustering, theme formation, and textural-structural descriptions toward essence synthesis. Findings produced four essential themes: (1) The Newly Discovered Body - children experience surprise over new abilities accompanied by awareness of physical change; (2) Movement as Structured Free Play - the need for spontaneity negotiates with formal instruction, creating flow experience when activities are packaged as games; (3) Social Interaction Drives Enthusiasm - peer imitation, competition, and cooperation become the motor of movement motivation; and (4) Obstacles and Injuries as Signs of Effort - falling and fatigue are positively interpreted as evidence of genuine effort. The essence of FMS learning experience is a journey of discovering a new physical identity mediated by the joy of play, social interaction, and negotiation between the limitations and potential of the changing body.
