Abstract

This study aims to compare the social studies learning outcomes of fifth-grade students in Cluster 1, Bontoala Subdistrict, Makassar City, who were taught using the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model with audiovisual media assistance, with those taught using the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model with audiovisual media assistance. This research is a quantitative study with a quasi-experimental design. The sample consists of two classes: an experimental class of 30 students taught using the PBL model and a control class of 29 students taught using the PjBL model. The data analysis method used in this study is an independent sample t-test to examine the mean difference between the two groups. The results show a significant difference in students' learning outcomes between the two groups, with a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.003 (p < 0.05). These findings indicate that the PBL model with audiovisual media assistance is more effective in enhancing student motivation and learning outcomes in social studies compared to the PjBL model with audiovisual media assistance.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low level of achievement in mathematics learning of students based on the results of the odd semester Final Assessment (PAS) for the 2023-2024 school year, where 50% of students did not reach the minimum score (KKM). This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between learning concentration and mathematics achievement of fourth-graders at SDN 1 Singkawang. The research method used is correlational research with a quantitative approach. The object of this research is 77 fourth-graders at SDN 1 Singkawang. Data collection was carried out using student learning concentration questionnaires and documentation of student mathematics report scores for the 2023/2024 school year. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, testing the requirements of the analysis using normality tests with the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test formula and linearity tests. Hypothesis testing was carried out using the Pearson Product Moment correlation test. The results of the analysis showed that there was a significant relationship between learning concentration and mathematics achievement of fourth-graders at SDN 1 Singkawang, which was indicated by a correlation value of 0.51, which means it has a sufficient criterion based on the level of correlation, so that the relationship is not too strong. Learning concentration is one of the factors that influences students' mathematics achievement, with a contribution of 25.63%. This is indicated by the value of the coefficient of determination (KD) of 25.63%, which means that the magnitude of the relationship between learning concentration and students' mathematics achievement is 25.63%.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness and influence of SIPERMAN learning media in increasing students' reading interest in class V science and science learning at SDN Pandeanlamper 01 Semarang. The background to this research is that 69.5% of class VB students at SDN Pandeanlamper 01 still have low interest in reading. The method in this research is quantitative. The subjects in this research were class VB students at SDN Pandeanlamper 01 Semarang. The research instruments used were interviews, documentation, questionnaires and tests. The research design used was One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The data analysis technique in this research is inferential statistics. The data results were analyzed using N.Gain and t test. The N.Gain results show a value of 0.65, in the "Medium" category. Meanwhile, the t test begins by testing the normality of the data first. The results show a significance value of more than 0.005. Then the Paired Sample T-test was carried out. Paired Sample Statistics shows that the average pretest value is 43.33, while the average posttest value is 80.00. Then from the Paired Sample Test, the significance value (2-tailed) is 0.000. So 0.000 < 0.05, meaning H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Because H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, it means there is an average difference between the pretest and posttest results. So there is an influence of using SIPERMAN learning media in increasing students' reading interest. Before implementing SIPERMAN learning media, 69.5% of students' interest in reading was still low. After implementing the SIPERMAN learning media, students' reading interest increased by 94.1%. The results of this research are that SIPERMAN learning media is effective and can influence students' reading interest in class V science and science learning at SDN Pandeanlamper 01 Semarang.
