Pendas : Jurnah Ilmiah Pendidikan Dasar is a journal published twice a year, namely in June and December that aims to be a forum for scientific publications to pour ideas and studies complemented with the results of research related to primary school education. To achieve this, basic education journals will selectively disseminate ideas and studies complemented by quality research results related to basic education, develop an education center to the elementary-school that can produce innovative, creative and original work and tested in the field of education and learning elementary School to be disseminated and implemented for improving the quality of primary-to-national education at the national, regional and international levels.

This research aims: 1) To determine differences in students' ability to understand science concepts; 2) To find out how big the influence of the think talk write learning model is with the aid of the digestive board props; 3) To find out students' responses to the think talk write learning model with the help of class V teaching aids at SDN 23 Singkawang. The research method used is a quantitative research approach. The research design used in this research is Quasi Experimental design. The population in this study was all class V students. The research design was cluster sampling, totaling 27 people. Data collection techniques in this research used tests and non-tests. The test instrument is a concept understanding ability test, and the non-test uses a questionnaire. The data analysis technique uses a two-sample t test with a significance level of 5% (0.05) and the Effect Size test using Excel. The results of this research show that; 1) The difference in the ability to understand science concepts of students in the Ha category was accepted at 9.71%; 2) The influence of the Think Talk Write Model assisted by the digestive board is in the medium category with a total of 0.43; 3) There is a positive response from students in the very good category, a percentage of 83.56%. It can be concluded that there is an influence of the Think talk write model assisted by a digestive board on students' ability to understand science concepts.

This study aims to apply the interpolative coding and rice code algorithms for compressing MP3 audio files and to compare the effectiveness of these two algorithms in the compression process. Additionally, the study focuses on measuring the compression ratios of each algorithm to evaluate the efficiency of each method in reducing MP3 file sizes. As the use of applications for information management becomes increasingly common, a frequent issue arises: the need for significant storage space. Therefore, compression is required to reduce the size of these files. File compression is the process of transforming a set of data into a coded format to minimize storage requirements. There are several data compression algorithms, including Interpolative Coding and Rice Code. The multitude of compression algorithms creates uncertainty about which algorithms are most accurate for data compression. Thus, a comparison between algorithms, such as Interpolative Coding and Rice Code, is necessary. This comparison will help determine which algorithm is more accurate for compressing MP3 audio files, using parameters such as compression ratio and space saving of the Interpolative Coding and Rice Code algorithms.

The low civic knowledge of students in Civics learning is the background for conducting research to determine the application of the Value Clarification Technique (VCT) model to student civic knowledge. This research aims to: (1) to know the application of the VCT model to students' civic knowledge in Civics learning, to know the application of students' civic knowledge results in Civics learning, and to describe the effect of the VCT model on the civic knowledge of grade V students of UPT SDN 25 Mengkendek. The approach used in this research is quantitative with the type of Quasi Experimental type Non-equivalent Control Group Design. The population in this study amounted to 38 students. Data analysis techniques used are descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistics. The results of descriptive analysis showed that the application of the VCT model went very well. The results of inferential analysis using Independent Sample t-Test showed that the t.count value was greater than the t.table value with a predetermined significance level, so the alternative hypothesis was accepted and the null hypothesis was rejected. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that: (1) the learning process using the VCT model takes place very well, (2) the learning outcomes of students' civic knowlede show a very high influence on Civics learning, (3) and there is an effect of using the VCT model on the civic knowledge of grade V UPT SDN 25 Mengkendek Tana Toraja Regency.

This research aims to develop and determine the feasibility of an educational game-based learning media as an evaluation tool for multiplication material. The ADDIE model is used in this research design which has five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Testing was carried out by media and material validators to determine validity, while trials were carried out by student respondents to determine practicality. The media validation results got a score of 72% which is in the valid category, while the material validation got a score of 82,9% which is in the very valid category. Meanwhile, the results of student respondents gave an assessment of 85.6%, which shows that this game is very practical to use as a tool for evaluating multiplication material. With positive feasibility results from the three groups, this educational game is proven to have great potential to be used as a learning tool, in this case as an evaluation tool for multiplication material.

This class action research seeks to address the issue of inadequate learning outcomes among students in class VIII-B at SMPN 56 Surabaya, specifically in the context of social studies related to geographical conditions and their impact on natural diversity and community life. The study employed a Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model, which was integrated with Learner Worksheets (LKPD), involving 35 students as participants. Data were collected through various methods, including tests, observations, and documentation. Data analysis revealed a notable improvement in student performance following the first cycle, with learning outcomes reaching 66% and an average score of 72. This was further enhanced in the second cycle, where learning outcomes increased to 86% with an average score of 83. Furthermore, the observations revealed an increase in both student engagement and enthusiasm throughout the learning process. As a result, it can be inferred that the application of the PBL learning model in conjunction with LKPD constitutes an effective strategy for improving student learning outcomes in social studies.

Currently, numerous MP4 video files are widely distributed and often have relatively large sizes. To address storage issues, compression is needed to reduce file sizes. The aim of this research is to implement the Stout Codes algorithm for compressing MP4 video files, analyze the compression level achieved by this algorithm, and evaluate its performance in terms of compression ratio and video quality after compression. This study seeks to explore the effectiveness of Stout Codes in reducing MP4 file sizes while maintaining optimal video quality, providing insights into how this algorithm can be applied in video management and storage. Data compression is the process of transforming data into a more efficient code to save storage space. Various algorithms are used in the compression process, one of which is the Stout Codes algorithm, which is relatively uncommon. Stout Codes work by encoding video blocks into smaller binary forms without losing original information. Applying this algorithm to MP4 video files results in a Compression Ratio of 5.62%, meaning the file size before compression, which is 128 bits, can be reduced to 72 bits after compression. Thus, the Stout Codes algorithm offers an effective solution for reducing video file sizes while preserving data integrity, despite its less frequent use compared to other compression algorithms.

Based on the results of interviews and observations with class 2 teachers, it can be seen that teachers only use guidebooks such as textbooks and worksheets as learning resources when learning takes place. The teacher has media related to measuring length, for example a ruler. However, the ruler only has units of cm and mm. Therefore, teachers and students need innovative, creative and interesting learning media, one of which is developing Kilan Conversion Ruler media. The problems in this research are 1) How can the Kilan Conversion Ruler development media facilitate measuring and estimating length? 2) How is the suitability of the Kilan Conversion Ruler media able to facilitate measuring and estimating length? The aim of this research is to examine the feasibility of the Kilan Conversion Ruler media to facilitate measuring and estimating length and to examine the feasibility of the Kilan Conversion Ruler media to facilitate measuring and estimating length. The type of research used uses R&D (Research & Development) and the research and development stages use ADDIE. This research was conducted at SD Negeri Pagerharjo 01 Pati Regency. The results of the validity assessment of the Kilan Conversion Ruler media were declared valid. This is proven by the results of media expert validation of 89% and material validation of 86%. The percentage result obtained from the student figure the "agree" category. Meanwhile, the test results for one sample stated that the average tcount value was 13.5 > ttable 1.745. So there is a significant difference between student achievement in the control class and the experimental class. So that the results obtained, the Kilan Conversion Ruler media to facilitate measuring and estimating length for grade 2 elementary school students was developed effectively and is suitable for use in learning.

This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of students who thought that learning Fine Arts was just learning to draw and sing. This research aims to describe the improvement in learning outcomes for the fine art of making piggy banks from used goods using the project based learning (PjBL) model in class IV of SDN 16 Padang Besi, Padang City. This type of research is classroom action research (PTK) with a qualitative and quantitative approach. Implemented in 2 cycles, each cycle consists of 2 meetings. The subjects of this research were 27 students. The research results show: First, the teaching module aspect obtained an average of 83.33% (B) increasing in cycle II to 91.66% (SB). Second, the results of the implementation of cycle I in the teacher aspect obtained an average percentage of 87.50% (B), increasing in cycle II to 93.75% (SB). Third, the results of the implementation of cycle I in the student aspect obtained an average of 8361% (B), increasing in cycle II to 90.62% (SB). Fourth, student learning outcomes in cycle I obtained an average of 73.98% (C), increasing in cycle II to 83.61% (B). It can be concluded that the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model can improve learning outcomes for the fine art of making piggy banks from used goods for class IV students at SDN 16 Padang Besi, Padang City.

This research aims to determine the influence of the outdoor study-based project based learning model on improving students' critical thinking skills in elementary school science learning. The type of research used is quantitative research using a quasi-experimental design method (quasi-experiment) with a pretest-posttest control group design. The population in this study was all class V of SDN 85 Singkawang. The type of sampling in this research is Probability Sampling, which is a sampling technique which provides equal opportunities for the entire population selected to be the sample. The samples taken in this research were class VA as an experimental class with 30 students and class VB as a control class with 30 students. The data collection technique uses a test technique in the form of essay questions containing indicators of science critical thinking abilities and a non-test technique in the form of observing the implementation of the project based learning model based on outdoor study. The data analysis technique uses a two-sample t test, N-Gain and Percentage to observe model implementation. The results of the research stated (1) The Project Based Learning learning model based on Outdoor Study had a moderate effect on students' critical thinking abilities in class V science learning at SDN 85 Singkawang (2) There was a moderate increase in students' critical thinking abilities after implementing the Outdoor Based Project Based Learning model Study in class V science learning at SDN 85 Singkawang (3) Implementation of the Project Based Learning learning model based on Outdoor Study was carried out well in class V science learning at SDN 85 Singkawang

This research aims to: 1) To find out students' attitudes towards learning science and science in the Independent Curriculum, students in the independent curriculum for class V at SDN 13 Singkawang, 2) To find out what are the strengths and weaknesses in students' attitudes towards learning science and science in the independent curriculum for class V at SDN 13 Singkawang. . The type of research used is quantitative research with a quantitative descriptive research design. This research was conducted at SDN 13 Singkawang. The subjects in this research were 23 class V students, the principal and class V teachers. The data collection techniques and instruments in this research were interview questionnaires and documentation. The results of the research show that: 1) students' attitudes towards learning science and science in the independent curriculum for class V at SDN 13 Singkawang are in the positive category, 2) the weaknesses and strengths in students' attitudes towards learning science and science in the independent curriculum for class V at SDN 13 Singkawang are that there are students who still listen teachers, listen and don't make a fuss, but there are still some students who have difficulty understanding some of the material, this is caused by several factors, namely internal and external factors. The shortcomings in the attitude of learning social sciences using the independent curriculum are the shortcomings such as teachers' unpreparedness in changing the curriculum, lack of training related to the independent curriculum, lack of infrastructure and facilities, and a less than optimal learning system, while the advantages in students' attitudes towards learning social sciences using the independent curriculum are that teachers' creativity during the learning process increases and teachers are of course free to choose the teaching tools they want.
