Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the mind mapping approach in learning fiqh based on the Middle East Curriculum at MBS A.R. Fachruddin Yogyakarta. Qualitative method with a phenomenological approach that aims to collect data about the phenomenon under study without generalisation. The results showed that mind mapping helps students understand complex fiqh concepts more systematically, improves memory, and encourages active involvement and critical thinking of students during the learning process. Implementation was carried out on 30 junior high school students in class IX and was carried out in three stages: planning, implementation, and evaluation, with study material on the Zakat Fitrah chapter in the book of Zaadul Mustaqni. There were several obstacles encountered during the implementation of the mind mapping approach, such as the teacher's adaptation to the new method, the narrow time in teaching preparation, the preparation of material that is easy to visualise and the students' different thinking abilities. This research confirms that the mind mapping approach can be a bridge between the traditional talaqqi method and the needs of more modern and participatory learning.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of interesting teaching materials in elementary schools to improve students' problem-solving skills in the classroom. The purpose of this research is to produce problem-based comic products in Science Subjects in grade IV, which later learning in the classroom will be much more meaningful and fun, and can also improve students' ability to solve problems in learning. This study uses a type of development research using the ADDIE model. The instruments used for data collection are in the form of validation questionnaires, response questionnaires and post-test pre-tests to students. The results of this study resulted in Problem-Based Comics products that met the criteria very well with an average score of 87% from the three experts, namely 87% in the category of very suitable for use, and the level of practicality of 96% was in the criteria of very practical and the level of effectiveness with an average of 73% in the effective category. Problem-based comic teaching materials are feasible, practical and effective to be used in science learning material in the form of physical substances in grade IV elementary school.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning model in improving reading comprehension skills of thirdgrade students at SD Negeri Sukomangli 01. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects were 14 students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and written tests in the form of pretests and posttests. The results showed a significant improvement in students' reading comprehension abilities. In the pretest of Cycle I, all students were in the moderate category (scores 40–59). After the implementation of CIRC in Cycle I, all students improved to the high category (scores 60–80). In Cycle II, 71.43% of students reached the very high category (scores >80), while the rest remained in the high category. The challenges encountered included differences in group member abilities, time limitations, and domination by certain students during group discussions. Nevertheless, the CIRC model proved effective in enhancing both academic performance and collaborative skills. Therefore, the CIRC learning model is recommended as an alternative strategy for teaching Bahasa Indonesia, particularly to improve reading comprehension at the elementary school level. Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of the use of google earth media to improve students' spatial thinking skills and to determine the effect of using google earth media to improve students' spatial thinking skills at SMAN 2 Padang Panjang. The research method used in this study is the Quasi Experiment Method with the research design of Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampling was done by Random Sampling technique. The samples in this study were X.1 class students as the experimental class given the Google Earth application learning media treatment and X.2 class as the control class given the Microsoft Power Point learning media treatment. Data collection uses multiple-choice pretest and posttest instruments that have been tested for validity, reliability, and observation. The results of this study are that there is an effect of Google Earth Learning Media on the spatial thinking ability of students in class X.1 SMA N 2 Padang Panjang, the average posttest of the experimental class is 84.59 and the control class is 70.73. Data analysis using the paired Sample T-Test test from the calculated data obtained a significance level (Sig.) of 0.001 because the significance is smaller than 0.005 (0.001 <0.005), then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted.

Abstract

The main problem in this study is the lack of short story writing skills in class V students at Muhammadiyah 3 Makassar Elementary School in Makassar City. So the researcher uses Bolding media (scoling ball). This research aims to find out the effectiveness of the use of bolding media on the short story writing skills of students in class V of Muhammadiyah Elementary School 3 Makassar City. This research uses experimental quantitative methods with One Group Pretest and Posttest Design designs. The population of this study is the entire students of class V of SD Muhamammadiyah 3 Makassar which is 15 people, the sample draw used in this study is using total sampling, which means that the entire population is used as a research sample. The data collection techniques used are through Pretest and Posttest, data is collected through short story writing skills tests. Next, the entire data obtained was analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of google earth learning media on the spatial thinking ability of SMAN 5 Bukittinggi students. The research method used in this research is experimental method. Sampling was done by purposive sampling technique. The samples in this study were XI F7 students as the experimental class given the treatment of google earth application learning media and XI F6 class as the control class given the treatment of learning media in the form of maps. Data collection using pretest and posttest instruments in the form of multiple choice that has been tested for validity and reliability, as well as observation. The results of this study are the influence of google earth learning media on the spatial thinking ability of students in class XI F7 SMAN 5 Bukittinggi. The average posttest of the experimental class was 85.64 and the control class was 74.08. Data analysis using the Paired Sample T-test test from the calculated data obtained a significance level (Sig.) of 0.001 because the significance is smaller than 0.005 (0.001 &lt;0.005), then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted

Abstract

The curriculum is designed, compiled, and developed based on the philosophical thinking of education, one of which is progressivism. The philosophical basis in curriculum development has a strategic and systematic role so that the curriculum developed is in line with national education goals. This study aims to describe the implementation of Indonesian language teaching and learning activities based on the Independent Curriculum reviewed from the perspective of the philosophy of progressivism education at SMP Negeri 1 Tangen, Sragen, Central Java. This study applies a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, documentation, and literature studies as an effort to triangulate comprehensive data. This study proves that Indonesian language learning at SMP Negeri 1 Tangen has implemented the principles of progressivism, including student-centered learning, contextual and meaningful learning, differentiated learning, and the creation of a democratic learning environment. In addition, the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) also reflects the integration of progressivism values. These findings indicate that the Independent Curriculum and the philosophy of progressivism support each other in creating humanistic, adaptive, and participatory learning.

Abstract

In Central Lampung Regency, Islamic boarding schools (pondok pesantren) have undergone rapid transformation by integrating multimedia as an essential part of education, da'wah, and the development of students' independence. The objective of this study is to explore the utilization of multimedia in enhancing the quality of education in Islamic boarding schools in the digital era and to examine the role of multimedia in supporting the effectiveness of da'wah in these institutions. This research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The findings indicate that the transformation of pesantren through multimedia has significantly contributed to shaping independent, competitive students who are well-prepared to face challenges in the digital era while maintaining the core Islamic values that underpin education in pesantren.

Abstract

Emotional management skills play an important role in forming positive social interactions and supporting the development of students' character from an early age. This study aims to examines the relationship between emotional management and social interactions of fourth-grade students at SDN Cipinang Cempedak 07. With a quantitative approach and correlational method, data were obtained from 63 students through questionnaires and observations. The results of the analysis showed a very strong and significant correlation (r = 0.818; p < 0.001), indicating that the ability to manage emotions is closely related to the quality of students' social interactions, so it is important to be integrated into learning in elementary schools

Abstract

This study focuses on evaluating the utilization of School Operational Assistance (BOS) funds at SMP Negeri 6 Pekanbaru, specifically assessing the alignment between the previously prepared School Activity and Budget Plan (RKAS) and actual expenditures. The background of this research stems from the importance of accountability and transparency in school financial management to support the improvement of education quality. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, involving a review of documents such as the RKAS for the last fiscal year, budget realization reports, and meeting minutes related to budget planning and evaluation. Additionally, semi-structured interviews were conducted with six key informants: the School Principal, BOS Treasurer, teachers, and school committee representatives, to gain a more in-depth and contextual understanding. Research findings reveal that, in general, BOS fund utilization has followed RKAS guidelines, particularly in supporting learning activities, digital literacy, student potential development, and school facility maintenance. Nevertheless, implementation on the ground still faces several challenges, including discrepancies between initial budget planning and actual realization, suboptimal oversight, delays in fund disbursement, and a fairly complex administrative burden. Despite these challenges, the school demonstrates a commitment to transparent and accountable fund management. Therefore, continuous improvement efforts in planning, implementation, and evaluation are crucial to ensure more effective BOS fund utilization and a positive impact on education quality.
