Abstract

Legends, as part of folklore, have great potential in character education because they are rich in moral values and local wisdom. However, the symbolic meanings in Nusantara legends have not been widely utilized in learning. This study aims to examine the semiotic meanings in five water-themed legends from Astri Damayanti’s Kumpulan Legenda Nusantara and to evaluate their potential as teaching materials for character education in elementary schools. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach using Charles Sanders Peirce’s semiotic theory (icon, index, symbol). The findings show that these legends contain strong symbolism related to honesty, responsibility, empathy, and loyalty. The stories also have good readability for students, with simple language and clear narrative structures. Based on these results, this study recommends the integration of folklore into the curriculum as a medium for character education based on local wisdom.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) Mengidentifikasi terdapat atau tidaknya perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa setelah diterapkan media monopili terhadap Pembelajaran IPAS Kelas IV MI Ushuluddin Singkawang; (2) Mengidentifikasi seberapa besar pengaruh model Problem Based Learning berbasis media monopoli Terhadap Pemecahan Masalah Pada Pembelajaran IPAS Kelas IV MI Ushuluddin Singkawang; (3) Mengidentifikasi respon siswa terhadap penerapan model Problem Based Learning pada pembelajaran IPAS kelas IV MI Ushuluddin. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis quasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian posttest-only control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini seluruh siswa kelas IV Mi Ushuluddin Singkawang yang berjumlah 128 siswa dan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 64 siswa di kelas IVC dan IVD. Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian menggunakan teknik probability sampling dengan jenis simple random sampling. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji t dua sampel, effect size, dan persentase angket respon siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) terdapat perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa setelah di terapkan media monopoli terhadap pembelajaran IPAS, hal ini ditunjukkan dari hasil thitung 6,048 dan ttabel 2,040 (2) terdapat pengaruh model Problem Based Learning berbasis media monopoli terhadap pemecahan masalah pada Pembelajaran IPAS Kelas IV, hal ini dibuktikan dari hasil uji effect size menunjukan bahwa nilai sebesar 1,4 > 0,8 sehingga masuk dalam kategori tinggi. (3) respon siswa menunjukkan respon yang positif, dibuktikan dengan hasil perhitungan persentase yang mendapatkan hasil 93% dengan kategori sangat baik.

Abstract

Low student interest in learning is still a serious challenge in education which has an impact on suboptimal student learning achievement. Traditional learning methods are often unable to generate student interest in learning. The Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach as a learning innovation that focuses on students' abilities has the potential to increase interest in learning. This research aims to conduct a literature review of various relevant literature to examine the TaRL approach in increasing students' interest in learning. This research method is a systematic literature review (SLR) by applying the PRISMA protocol with article search using Publish or Perish software on the Google Scholar database indexed by SINTA for the period 2020-2025. From the initial 500 articles, the selection resulted in 10 relevant articles to be analyzed. The results showed that the TaRL approach proved effective in increasing students' interest in learning at various levels of education and subjects. The research showed an increase in learning interest in each learning cycle with the category of learning interest increasing from poor/low conditions to good/high to very good/very high in each learning cycle. Successful implementation is influenced by the quality of diagnostic assessments, learning activity design, teacher competence and social-emotional support. The main challenges include limited resources, time, as well as teachers' skills in developing diagnostic assessments. The TaRL approach shows high flexibility as it can be integrated with both learning models, approaches and media. Therefore, it is relevant to be applied in various learning contexts.

Abstract

This research is based on the understanding of the concept of science students Class V MIN 10 Bandar Lampung which is still relatively low. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is a significant influence on the learning model of Science, Environment, Technology, and Society (SETS) assisted by Augmented Reality (AR) media has an effect on the concept of understanding science students Class V MIN 10 Bandarlampung. The type of research used is quantitative research with quasi Experiment design and using Nonequivalent Control Group Design approach. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling. data collection techniques used are pretest and posttest. The population in this study is all students of Class V MIN 10 Bandar Lampung. The samples in this study are 42 students consisting of 21 students of class VD as an experimental class and 21 students of class VE as a control class. While data analysis techniques using normality test using shapiro wilk test, homogeneity test using fisher test or F test,and hypothesis test in the form of independent sample t-test. The results showed that the test results of the independent sample t-test known significance value (2-tailed) in the analysis of the Test Test independent Sample T-test of 0.000 through the test criteria if the value of significance (2-tailed) < 0.05 then rejected and if the value of significance (2-tailed) > 0.05 then accepted. It turns out that the significance value is 0.000 < 0.05 so is rejected and is accepted. Thus, the hypothesis of this study is accepted, that there is an influence of Learning model Science, Environment, Technology, and Society (SETS) assisted by Augmented Reality (AR) media on the understanding of the concept of science students Class V MIN 10 Bandar Lampung.

Abstract

ABSTRAK ADI NUGROHO, NIM 2499010096. Analisis Kesulitan Belajar Matematika Materi Bangun Ruang pada Siswa Kelas 5 SDN 2 Tegalrejo. Jurnal. Pembimbing 1: Prof. Dr. Woro Sumarni, M.Si. dan Pembimbing 2: Dr. Bambang Subali, M.Pd. Semarang: Program Studi Pendidikan Dasar S2, Fakultas Sekolah Pascasarjana, Universitas Negeri Semarang, 2024. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesulitan belajar matematika materi bangun ruang pada siswa kelas 5 di SDN 2 Tegalrejo. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif. Teknik Pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas 5. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada materi bangun ruang pada siswa kelas 5, siswa belum memiliki pengalaman yang konkret dalam memvisualisasikan bentuk-bentuk bangun ruang. Kesulitan ini diperparah dengan metode pembelajaran yang kurang tepat seperti menggunakan ceramah dan buku LKS. Kesalahan ini sering terjadi karena siswa tidak memahami rumus yang digunakan dan kurang teliti dalam melakukan perhitungan. Kurangnya latihan soal dan pemahaman konsep dasar matematika juga menjadi faktor penyebab kesulitan ini. Hal ini menyebabkan siswa tidak memahami manfaat mempelajari materi bangun ruang. Faktor internal yang mempengaruhi kesulitan belajar siswa dalam materi bangun ruang karena kurangnya minat dan motivasi belajar siswa. Sedangkan faktor eksternal yang memengaruhi kesulitan belajar siswa antara lain metode pembelajaran yang kurang tepat, kurangnya alat peraga dan media pembelajaran, serta peran orang tua yang kurang maksimal. Abstract

Music education plays an important role in supporting the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor development of elementary school students. This study aims to analyze the contribution of music education to the development of students' thinking skills and to identify other aspects of development that can be supported through musical activities. This research employs a literature review method with a qualitative approach, drawing from journals, books, and relevant policy documents. The findings indicate that music education not only enhances artistic skills but also plays a role in shaping character, strengthening emotional intelligence, and developing critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Music can influence mood, improve concentration, and strengthen memory and motor coordination. Art education, as emphasized by Ki Hajar Dewantara (in Bastom, 1993: 20), is an important element in the formation of a child's personality. Therefore, music education in elementary schools should be designed to be enjoyable, contextual, and appropriate for the students' developmental stage to create meaningful and comprehensive learning.])

Abstract

Individual behavior is the result of a long process since childhood, one of which is influenced by parenting. Parenting is the way parents educate, guide, and interact with children that shapes their personality and communication ethics in the future. Authoritarian parenting, characterized by strict control, one-way communication, and lack of freedom for children to express themselves, can have a negative impact on children's psychosocial development, including communication ethics. This study aims to determine the effect of authoritarian parenting on students' communication ethics at Istiqlal Deli Tua Private High School. The method used is quantitative with simple linear regression. The sample consisted of 32 students of class XI who were selected using purposive sampling technique. The analysis results show a constant value of 178.602, a regression coefficient of -0.819, and a significance of 0.023 < 0.05. This indicates that the higher the applied authoritarian parenting, the lower the students' communication ethics. This finding confirms the importance of open and supportive parenting in shaping ethical and effective communication skills

Abstract

The objective of this research was to determine the validity, reliability, difficulty level, discriminating power, and distractor effectiveness of 15 multiple-choice mathematics questions on whole numbers for Grade IV students at SDN 104218 Sidomulyo. This research employed a quantitative descriptive method. The population consisted of 42 students, while the sample included 23 students. The research instrument was a set of 15 multiple-choice mathematics questions on whole numbers for Grade IV. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS Software and Microsoft Excel. The research findings indicate that 5 questions (33.3%) were valid, while 10 questions (66.7%) were invalid. The test instrument scored < 0.6, making it unreliable. All 15 questions had a moderate difficulty level. The discriminating power of the test items varied, with 4 questions classified as very poor, 6 questions as poor, 3 questions as fair, and 2 questions as good. Regarding the effectiveness of the distractors, only a few items required revision, and only one option was rejected or replaced.

Abstract

The problem underlying this study is the low level of critical thinking skills, collaboration skills, and learning outcomes of students in Civic Education. This condition is caused by one-way learning processes, the lack of critical thinking activities, and the presentation of material that is overly theoretical, making students easily bored. To overcome these issues, this research applied the BERPIKIR learning model, which emphasizes the development of students’ activity, skills, and learning outcomes. This study employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles with four meetings. The research subjects were 25 fourth-grade students of SDN Alalak Utara 2. Data were collected through observation, written evaluation, and documentation, and analyzed using both qualitative and quantitative descriptive approaches. The indicators observed included teacher activity, student activity, critical thinking skills, collaboration skills, and learning outcomes. The results showed significant improvements across all aspects measured. Critical thinking skills from 49% to 83%, collaboration skills from 39% to 82%, and learning outcomes from 48% to 80%. These findings demonstrate that the BERPIKIR learning model is effective in improving the quality of Civic Education learning. Therefore, the BERPIKIR model is recommended as an alternative innovative learning strategy for teachers, principals, and future researchers to create more interactive and meaningful learning processes, ultimately supporting the improvement of education quality in primary schools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Problem Based Instruction (PBI) dalam meningkatkan keterampilan mengalihwahakan teks anekdot ke bentuk komik strip siswa Fase E, Selama ini pembelajaran mengalihwahanakan masih didominasi metode konvensional seperti ceramah yang membuat siswa pasif, kurang termotivasi, dan kesulitan memahami struktur teks anekdot. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode true experimental design menggunakan desain posttest-only control design. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 239 siswa kelas X fase E SMA Negeri 1 Tandun tahun ajaran 2024/2025 yang tersebar dalam 7 kelas, sampel penelitian ini adalah purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan mengalihwahanakan teks anekdot ke bentuk komik strip siswa tanpa menggunakan model Problem Based Instruction memperoleh nilai rata-rata 68,03 dengan kualifikasi lebih dari cukup, sedangkan siswa yang menggunakan model Problem Based Instruction memperoleh rata-rata 89,80 dengan kualifikasi baik sekali. Hasil uji-t menunjukkan adanya perbedaan signifikan (p < 0,05) sehingga H1 diterima dan H0 ditolak, yang berarti model Problem Based Instruction berpengaruh dalam pembelajaran mengalihwahanakan teks anekdot ke bentuk komik strip.
