Abstract

Early adulthood is a crucial developmental stage characterized by complex academic, social, and personal demands that can impact students’ psychological well-being. This study aims to determine the relationship between peer social support and students’s psychological well-being. The study used a quantitative approach with a correlational design with a population of 2.856 students from the Faculty of Education, Universitas Negeri Padang (FIP UNP), entering in 2023 and 2024. The study sample consisted of 351 students selected using the Slovin formula with proportional random sampling technique. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed descriptively using Microsoft Excel and correlational analysis with SPSS. The result showed that peer social support and students’ psychological well-being were in the high category. The correlation analysis showed a positive and significant relationship between the two variables (r=0,291; p>0,05). This finding confirms that the higher the peer social support, the higher the students’ psychological well-being. Therefore, strengthening peer support programs in higher education needs to be optimized to support students’ mental health.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of the Listen-Read-Discuss (LRD) strategy on improving Arabic reading skills among seventh-grade students of MTs Ma’had Al-Zaytun. The study was motivated by students’ low reading proficiency, often caused by teacher-centered and less interactive teaching methods. To address this issue, the LRD strategy was implemented to encourage more active student participation. This study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. A total of 52 students were selected as participants and divided equally into experimental and control groups, with the experimental group receiving instruction through the LRD strategy, while the control group received conventional teaching. Data were collected using pre-test and post-test instruments that had been validated and tested for reliability. The independent t-test results showed a significanca value of 0.000, indicating a significant difference between the experimental and control groups. The findings confirm that the LRD strategy effectively improves students’ Arabic reading skills. Therefore, this strategy is recommended for Arabic language learning as it promotes a more active, participatory, and interactive classroom environment.

Abstract

This study explores the implementation of the Adiwiyata Program at Mulya Asri Elementary School in Cikupa, Tangerang Regency, using the CIPP evaluation model (Context, Input, Process, Product). The research focuses on how school policies, stakeholder involvement, and the availability of facilities contribute to fostering an environmentally conscious culture. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through field observations, in-depth interviews, and document analysis, involving the principal, teachers, students, and school janitors. The findings reveal that, contextually, the school upholds a clear vision and mission aligned with environmental awareness. In terms of input, supporting facilities are available though not yet evenly distributed, while the active engagement of teachers, students, and staff is evident. The process dimension shows that environmental activities are conducted regularly, systematically, and integrated into learning. As for product, the program positively shapes students’ eco-friendly behavior and enhances the school’s institutional image. Overall, the Adiwiyata Program runs effectively, though continuous innovation and equitable facilities are needed for stronger sustainability.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the curriculum management based on pesantren (Islamic boarding school) at Nurul Abror Al-Robbaniyin Islamic Boarding School in Alasbuluh and Bustanul Makmur Islamic Boarding School in Kebunrejo, Banyuwangi. The main focus is on how the integration between formal and diniyah (religious) education curricula is carried out, and the challenges that affect its effectiveness. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation studies. The results show that both pesantren have applied a curriculum integration model by synchronizing the time and content of national and religious education. However, several major obstacles were identified, including the absence of an integrated curriculum document, limited competent human resources, lack of coordination between educational units, students' excessive academic load, and the absence of standardized evaluation and monitoring systems. Moreover, the centralized leadership structure under the kyai (Islamic scholar) figure presents a challenge to implementing a modern, participatory management system. These findings highlight the importance of developing a more structured, collaborative, and adaptive curriculum management system to support the sustainable integration of pesantren and national education systems.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the improvement in science learning outcomes for fifth grade student at Kristen Pupliora Elementary school. On the subject of the human respiratory system using an experimental learning model. This research is classroom action research. The research location used in this Kristen Pupliora elementary school. The subject in this research were sixteen fifth grade students at Kristen Pupliora elementary school. The results of the research show that use of experimental methods in fifth grade students at Kristen Pupliora elementary school shows a significant increase in learning outcomes which is marked by achieving learning completeness in science subjects. This can be seen from the percentage of completion in the pre-cycle of 6%, then in cycle it wa 12%, and in cycle it increased to 94%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of student learning outcomes through the inquiry learning model with the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach in the IPAS subject on light and its properties in Grade V students of SD Inpres Oesapa. This research employed a descriptive quantitative and qualitative method with 26 students (13 males, 13 females) as the subjects. Data were collected through observation and tests. The results showed that in the first cycle only 6 students (23.07%) achieved mastery, while 20 students (76.92%) did not, due to lack of concentration, collaboration, and problem-solving ability. In the second cycle, there was a significant improvement, with 24 students (92.30%) achieving mastery. Students demonstrated activeness, concentration, engagement in learning, as well as collaboration and problem-solving skills. Only 2 students (7.69%) had not yet achieved mastery and were given enrichment by the teacher. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that the implementation of the inquiry learning model with the TaRL approach can improve student learning outcomes in the IPAS subject, particularly on light and its properties. The TaRL approach helps students better understand the material, increase concentration, and enhance problem-solving abilities.

Abstract

This study aims to illustrate how students' religious character can be formed through positive behavioral habits in elementary schools. The approach used was qualitative with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation, interviews, and document analysis. The research findings indicate that positive routines such as making prayer a habit before and after learning, instilling honesty, mutual respect, and concern for others, have a significant influence on building students' religious character. Schools play a crucial role as formal educational institutions in instilling religious values ​​through daily activities integrated into the teaching and learning process and social interactions among school members.

Abstract

The commitment of student organization members is influenced by the communication patterns they employ. The Chitraswara Rasika Cabinet Student Choir of Bina Bangsa University faces challenges in maintaining the active participation of its members. This research used descriptive qualitative methods with Herbert Blumer's symbolic interactionism theory. The results indicate that two-way communication, emotional involvement, and organizational symbols strengthen affective and normative commitment. The main obstacles are sudden information and minimal feedback. It is recommended that organizations establish more transparent and participatory communication to maintain member commitment.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to determine whether there is an effect of using educational comic media on the reading and writing literacy skills of second-grade students at SD Negeri Kleco 01 Surakarta. This study employs a quantitative approach with a Pre-Experimental method, using the One Group Pre-test Post-test design. The population of this research consists of all second-grade students of SD Negeri Kleco 01 Surakarta in the 2024/2025 academic year, totaling 112 students. The sample includes 28 students from class II A of the same school in the 2024/2025 academic year, selected using a Non-Probability Sampling technique. Data collection was conducted through tests, interviews, observations, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used were the normality test and hypothesis testing with the Paired Sample T-test. Based on the research results and data analysis at SD Negeri Kleco 01 Surakarta, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference in students’ reading and writing literacy skills when using educational comic media. This finding is supported by the results of the Paired Sample T-test, where the sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 < α (0.05), indicating a significant difference in learning outcomes before and after the treatment. The average pre-test score was 48.85, while the average post-test score increased to 88.42. These results demonstrate that students who learned using educational comics achieved better performance compared to before using the media. Therefore, this study shows that the use of educational comic media has a significant effect on improving reading and writing literacy skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji dampak dari papan pintar matematika (Papinka) terhadap kemampuan menghitung siswa, khususnya dalam materi penjumlahan, dengan mempertimbangkan kemampuan awal siswa kelas 1 di SDN Cengklik Surakarta. Media papan pintar matematika merupakan alat yang dirancang dalam bentuk papan untuk mencapaikan informasi dan merangsang minat serta pemikiran siswa dalam proses pembelajaran terutama dalam bidang matematika. Penelitian ini menerapkan metode kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimental awal yang disebut one group pretest posttest desain. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari seluruh siswa di kelas 1B dan 1C di SDN Cengklik Surakarta titik proses pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling titik instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini mencangkup tes untuk hasil belajar, yaitu pretest dan post test. Analisis data menunjukkan adanya peningkatan dalam nilai rata-rata hasil belajar setelah penggunaan media papan pintar matematika titik hasil uji statistik menggunakan ankova menunjukkan nilai probabilitas sebesar 0,001 < 0,05, diperoleh hasil bahwa penggunaan media papan pintar matematika memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan diperoleh nilai rata-rata posttest tercatat sebesar 86.51, mengalami kenaikan sebesar 13.92 poin dari nilai rata-rata pretest sebelumnya, yaitu 72.59. Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara hasil belajar pretest dan posttest .
