Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine and analyze the effect of own-source revenue and transfer revenue on capital expenditure in South Tangerang City. The data used is time series data regarding local own-source revenue and transfer revenue on capital expenditure in South Tangerang City 2012-2021. Data analysis methods include Multiple Regression Analysis, t test, and coefficient of determination analysis. From the Multiple Regression Analysis, the regression equation Y=1.03819 + 0.521X2-0.612X3 is obtained. The constant of 1.03819 means that the increase in capital expenditure allocation is 1.03819 percent if there is no increase in local revenue and transfer revenue. The regression coefficient of the local own-source revenue variable shows a positive influence on capital expenditure of 0.521. From the t-test results, it can be explained that local own-source revenue has a significant effect on capital expenditure, where the t-count> t-table value is obtained (2.701> 2.306). The regression coefficient of the local own-source revenue variable shows a negative effect on capital expenditure of 0.612. From the t-test results, it can be explained that transfer revenues have a significant effect on capital expenditures in South Tangerang City, where the t-count value is obtained < t-table (1.259 < 2.306). From the coefficient of determination analysis, it is known that local revenue and transfer revenue affect capital expenditure by 47.4%, while the remaining 52.6% is influenced by other variables outside this research model. Increased capital expenditure has an important role because it has a long-term benefit period to provide services to the public because infrastructure development and the provision of various facilities are carried out to increase investment attractiveness. Industrial infrastructure development has a real impact on the increase in local revenue. So that if the Regional Government wants to improve public services and people's welfare by increasing capital expenditure, then the Regional Government must strive to explore as much local revenue as possible.

Abstract

Recently, diphtheria outbreaks occur in many countries. According to the latest data from the World Health Organization, the number of registered cases and incidence of diphtheria in 2021 will be 8,638 cases worldwide. Diphtheria is generally an acute respiratory infection with most infections being asymptomatic or having a relatively slight clinical course. However, many sufferers are afflicted by breathing obstruction. In this study, we developed and analyzed the diphtheria spread model by considering transmission by contact with an exposed and infected individual, progression for vaccinated exposed individuals becoming infected, quarantine for both exposed and infected people, and hand-washing behavior. Besides that, we proved the stability analysis around the equilibrium points and did the numerical simulations of models. The results of this study show that the model system has two steady states, namely disease-free equilibrium and endemic equilibrium. The disease-free equilibrium is stable if the basic reproduction number is less than one, either is unstable. The endemic equilibrium exists and is stable if the basic reproduction number is greater than one. The numerical simulations show that there is a significant effect of vaccination, quarantine, and hand-washing behavior for infected numbers, respectively. Vaccination, quarantine, and hand-washing behavior could significantly reduce the basic reproductive and the infected number. Whereas vaccination for exposed people could increase the basic reproductive and the infected number.

Abstract

Maze is a place that has many paths with tortuous paths that are misleading and full of dead ends and can be viewed as a grid graph. A non-perfect maze is a maze that has a cycle. This research produces an algorithm that can form a non-perfect maze with a size of m×n which has two types of bias. The first bias is the composition of the percentage of horizontal and vertical partitions. The second bias is the percentage of the number of cycles. The algorithm created in this study was generated by modifying Prim’s algorithm and the use of Fisher-Yates algorithm which is used in random selection in Prim’s algorithm. The non-perfect maze algorithm begins with the calculation of the parameter values of the two types of bias and continues with forming a perfect maze and ends with forming a non-perfect maze. The algorithm that has been designed can form a non-perfect maze with a complexity of O(|E|^2), where E is the set of edges of an m×n grid graph. Flash-based application development is also carried out in order to implement algorithms to obtain a non-perfect maze. The non-perfect maze is produced in a two-dimensional visual form in the form of an image along with its corresponding grid graph. The application is capable of displaying up to the first 20 solutions of the biased maze.

Abstract

Mathematical understanding is one of the supporting factors for students' success in mathematics. Skemp divides understanding into two types, namely instrumental understanding and relational understanding. This research purpose was to describe the mathematical understanding of seventh grade D students in solving set problems based on Skemp's theory of understanding in terms of rational personality types. The type of research used was descriptive qualitative. This research was conducted at Junior High School Darul Aman Mataram of 2021/2022 academic year. Selection of subjects using a purposive sampling technique. The subjects in this study were two students with rational personality types. Data were obtained using a mathematical understanding test and interviews. The study's results showed that students with rational personality types tend to have a relational understanding because they can explain reasons or interpret problem-solving procedures according to the set concept correctly. In addition, students are able to understand the purpose of the given set of problems, can apply ideas according to the logic of thinking in solving problems, can write problem solving procedures coherently according to Skemp's theory even though they tend to be brief, can solve mathematical understanding problems accompanied by appropriate answer arguments, can change mathematical sentences in the given problem in the form of words, images, or certain mathematical symbols. Furthermore, this type can achieve all of the indicators of instrumental understanding and can fulfill the six indicators of relational understanding, except for the ability to correlate several set concepts. Based on these results, it is expected that rational personality type students can determine detailed planning in solving problems, and improve understanding of mathematical concepts such as being more careful in the use of solution strategies so that students are accustomed to applying various solution strategies.

Abstract

An analytical study is performed to obtain the phase description of a network of Leaky Integrate-and-Fire (LIF) neurons. We start by discussing the behaviour of single LIF neuron in the presence of a constant current and then derive the corresponding phase oscillator model for some parameters setup. In the case of two identical LIF neurons where the interactions are ruled by the weak pulse input, we determine the analytical expression for the phase response curve. Next, we extend the phase reduction principles to a generic case of N networks of identical LIF neurons. The final model of so-called phase oscillators is widely used to study synchronization in many natural systems. Through numerical simulations, we find an agreement between the LIF neurons and the phase oscillators model.

Abstract

Higher-order thinking skills are skills that are an important aspect of teaching and learning mathematics. Mathematics and culture have a very close relationship, so the development and application of mathematical concepts in the learning process must be based on situations of daily life or local culture. In 2021, Researchers have developed a textbook of Logic and Set containing ethnomathematics oriented toward higher-order thinking skills. The textbook meets the 'Very Good' category on the validity test after being assessed by five experts. This year, the research focuses on the implementation and evaluation of the textbook in Logic and Set courses. The purpose of this research was to describe the feasibility level of the textbook. ADDIE's design research was used in this development research. The trial subjects in this research were 140 students in the Department of Mathematics Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Mataram who were taking the Logic and Set courses in the 2021/2022 academic year. Data collection techniques in this research were practicality questionnaires and higher-order thinking skills tests. The results of the data analysis for the practicality assessment of the textbook showed an average score of 81.44, which met the practical classification. Then the average value of the students in the final value of the Logic and Set courses is 81.90. In addition, the percentage of students who achieved a score of 75 was 76% or 106 students. Therefore, it can be concluded that the textbook meets the effective criteria.

Abstract

Mathematics education and teaching should not only include routine tasks; but tasks that need practice and memorization are mathematically more prosperous and more difficult because they promote problem-solving, investigation, and the discovery of the actual value of mathematical assertions. Therefore, the teacher must be able to select, create, and modify assignments under the established goals. This study attempts to examine opportunities and challenges that teachers encounter while adopting problem-based tasks. The subjects involved in this study were three secondary school mathematics teachers that are acceptable, in East Java, Indonesia. The teachers involved have more than five years of teaching experience and have good academic qualifications. The data collection consisted of observing three classes of secondary school during the implementation of a problem-based task related to the topic of rectangles and algebra. The study begins with the introduction and giving of several examples of problem-based tasks in secondary school mathematics designed to foster advanced learners' critical thinking and creativity. The findings show that teachers gain new knowledge about problem-based assignments and pedagogical insights on how they explain them to students. The results also provide an overview of the challenges for teachers to design and implement problem-based tasks.

Abstract

Tile is a product that is in great demand by many people. This has become a trigger for producers to improve their management. The company's tile production management is still experiencing problems, namely frequent miscalculations in determining the agreement that must be issued in making tile production from customer requests. One of the efforts made is to predict the production that can be done to get the optimal amount obtained, to get a big profit. In this study, to obtain a prediction of the amount of tile production, computerized calculations were carried out using the Tsukamoto fuzzy logic method. This method uses the concept of rules from the C 4.5 decision tree in the building to make it easier to determine the rules that are built without having to consult an expert because C 4.5 will study existing datasets to serve as a reference in forming these rules according to conditions that often occur. The modeling results produce relevant rules after being compared with the actual results. The results of the comparison of predictions with actual production have an error percentage of 29.34%, with a truth of 70.66% (based on the calculation of the Average Forecasting Error Rate (AFER)). Therefore when implemented in the Tsukamoto Fuzzy Inference System it can produce predictions of tile production that are quite optimum. It is said to be quite optimum because all customer requests are met, either generated by the production prediction itself or the prediction results are added up with inventory data, and all predictions are close to actual production.
