Abstract

A 21st-century skill that must be taught from a young age is collaboration. This skill emphasizes social values, empathy, and shared responsibility in the context of early childhood education. It also includes group cooperation. The purpose of this study is to explain how a cultural project based on local knowledge from Riau Malay might encourage cooperation among young children in a kindergarten setting. The research employed a descriptive design and a qualitative methodology. Teachers and students at a kindergarten in Pekanbaru who used the cultural initiative in their lesson plans made up the research subjects. Participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation were used to gather data, which were subsequently subjected to data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing methodologies for analysis. The findings demonstrated that children's empathy, shared responsibility, and positive social connections may be fostered through local culture-based activities like folktale performances, traditional games, and the creation of regional musical instruments. Teachers served as facilitators, directing group dynamics and incorporating cultural values from the area into the educational process. These results attest to the effectiveness of the local wisdom-based cultural initiative in fostering early childhood teamwork and promoting the preservation of Riau Malay culture.

Abstract

Teachers play a crucial role in fostering disaster preparedness understanding among children, particularly within the context of the newly implemented Merdeka Curriculum. In early childhood education, learning is generally play-based since the main concept is learning through play. This approach enhances children’s learning experiences, imagination, and critical thinking skills. Disaster preparedness education, especially regarding floods, is essential for all levels of society, including young children. Floods not only pose risks of drowning and drifting but also threaten health due to contaminated water; therefore, children need to understand that floodwater is harmful and can cause illness. Through engaging learning activities, children are expected to understand how to protect themselves during flood events. The study results show that for the knowledge and attitude indicators, children achieved an average score of 89.73%, indicating good comprehension. The emergency planning indicator reached an average of 88.06%, while the warning system indicator obtained the lowest average of 85.84%. Meanwhile, the resource mobilization indicator achieved the highest average score of 95.84%. Overall, children’s level of understanding regarding flood disaster response attitudes reached 90%, categorized as very good.

Abstract

The problem in this study is how the procedure for developing comic strips with animal subthemes in the forest as a medium to instill character for children aged 5-6 years. This research aims to develop comic subthemes of animals in the forest for the numeracy ability of children aged 4-6 years. This study uses the type of Research and Development (RnD) research based on the Borg and Gall research model procedure modified by Sugiyono consisting of 10 steps, but the researcher only uses 7 steps, namely potential and problem, data collection, product design, design validation, product revision, trial, and product revision. The comic product of the animal subtheme in the forest was validated by 2 experts, namely material experts and media experts. From the two experts, they received a validation score of 89.73% which received a very valid category. This comic was field tested on eight children aged 5-6 years. The trial is divided into 2, namely individual trials and group trials. From the results of the field trial, a feasibility score of 91.7% and 80.55% was obtained in the feasible category. The implications of this research indicate that the forest animal-themed comic is effective as a medium for instilling character in children aged 5-6 years, as well as having the potential to improve their counting skills. With high feasibility scores from the field trials, the use of this comic can be integrated as an alternative, engaging, and educational learning tool in kindergartens, particularly for the development of children's cognitive and character aspects.

Abstract

Kemampuan literasi membaca pada anak usia 5-6 tahun di TK Kartika 1-21 Pekanbaru pada awalnya dalam kriteria BB (Belum Berkembang) sejumlah 13 anak di kelas kontrol dan 14 anak di kelas eksperimen. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa mayoritas anak-anak pada tahap awal penelitian belum mencapai tingkat perkembangan kemampuan literasi membaca. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh anak TK Kartika 1-21 Pekanbaru dengan usia 5-6 tahun, sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan 2 kelas yaitu B3 dengan jumlah anak yaitu 15 anak dan B4 dengan jumlah anak yaitu 15 anak dengan menggunakan purposive sampling. Tujuan yang ingin dicapai dalam penelitian ini sebagai berikut : (1) Untuk mengetahui pengetahuan kemampuan literasi membaca anak usia 5-6 tahun sebelum diberikan perlakuan melalui media pembelajaran mekatronik cerita rakyat melayu.(2) Untuk mengetahui pengetahuan kemampuan literasi membaca anak usia 5-6 tahun sesudah diberikan perlakuan melalui media pembelajaran mekatronik cerita rakyat melayu. (3) Untuk mengetahui pengaruh media pembelajaran mekatronik cerita rakyat melayu terhadap kemampuan literasi membaca anak usia 5-6 tahun. Pengaruh yang diberikan perlakuan media pembelajaran mekatronik cerita rakyat melayu terhadap kemampuan literasi membaca pada anak usia 5-6 tahun di TK Kartika 1-21 Pekanbaru adalah sebesar 42,13 %. Kata Kunci: Literasi, Membaca, Anak Usia Dini Abstract The reading literacy ability of children aged 5-6 years at Kindergarten Kartika 1-21 Pekanbaru was initially in the BB (Not Developed) criteria, numbering 13 children in the control class and 14 children in the experimental class. This indicates that the majority of children in the early stages of the research have not yet reached the level of development of reading literacy skills. The objectives to be achieved in this research are as follows: (1) To determine the knowledge of reading literacy skills of children aged 5-6 years before being given treatment through the media mechatronic learning of Malay folklore. (2) To determine the knowledge of reading literacy skills of children aged 5-6 years after being given treatment through mechatronic learning media of Malay folklore. (3) To determine the effect of Malay folklore mechatronic learning media on the reading literacy skills of children aged 5-6 years. The influence that Malay folklore mechatronic learning media has on the reading literacy skills of children aged 5-6 years at Kindergarten Kartika 1-21 Pekanbaru is 42.13%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh kurangnya pemahaman anak mengenai mengenal huruf dan ketersediaan media pembelajaran yang kurang menarik bagi anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal huruf bagi anak usia 5-6 tahun di TK Negeri Pembina 3 Pekanbaru. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian RND. Langkah-langkah yang dilakukan adalah potensi dan masalah, pengumpulan data, desain produk, validasi desain produk, revisi produk, dan uji coba produk. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan observasi, angket, LKA, dan dokumentasi. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket untuk validasi roller alphabet dari ahli media, ahli materi, dan pendidik. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian pengembangan media roller alphabet pada hasil validasi ahli media sebesar 93,75% “sangat baik”, validasi ahli materi 93,75% “sangat baik” dan validasi pendidik diperoleh hasil persentase 95,64% “sangat baik”. Hasil penilaian pretest memperoleh hasil persentase sebesar 47,22% dan hasil posttest terdapat peningkatan memperoleh hasil persentase sebesar 88,89%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa media roller alphabet layak dan efektif digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran dalam meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal huruf pada anak usia 5-6 tahun di TK Negeri Pembina 3 Pekanbaru.

Abstract

Moderately retarded children have a low ability to take care of themselves, namely toilet training, especially brushing their teeth properly. This is due to the cognitive barriers they have. In addition, the lack of learning media used is also one of the contributing factors. This study aims to overcome the low ability of self-brushing teeth in moderate mental retardation children in SLB YPBB Karimun by developing an educational book product for self-brushing teeth. The research subjects were TKLB moderate mental retardation students who were in SLB YPBB Karimun. The selection of research subjects is based on the results of the ability of self-help brushing teeth, which is still low but can still be directed. The type of research used is Research and Development / R&D (Research and Development). This research uses a Mental retardation research design supported by a quantitative approach. Based on the validity test of several experts, the results were obtained; media experts with an average value of 3.0 with the criteria "worthy". Material experts with an average score of 3.5 with the criteria "very feasible". Test results from user responses, namely teachers 3.6 with the category "Very Feasible". This study shows that the Educational Book of Self-Brushing Teeth has been declared feasible to use in the learning process to train the ability of self-brushing teeth in moderate TKLB students at SLB YPBB Karimun.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi efektivitas penanaman moral keagamaan pada anak usia dini melalui pendekatan berbasis animasi kisah Nabi Muhammad SAW menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Penelitian dilaksanakan di KB Tunas Harapan PKK Talun Ngebel dengan melibatkan anak-anak usia dini sebagai subjek penelitian. Pendekatan kualitatif ini menggabungkan teknik observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam, dan analisis konten terhadap respon dan pemahaman moral anak-anak setelah terlibat dalam aktivitas berbasis animasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman nilai moral dan keagamaan serta respons positif anak-anak terhadap metode pembelajaran interaktif ini. Implikasi dari penelitian ini menyoroti pentingnya pendekatan kualitatif dalam melacak perubahan perilaku dan pemahaman anak selama proses pembelajaran. Penelitian lanjutan dengan fokus pada efek jangka panjang dari penanaman nilai moral keagamaan melalui animasi sangat disarankan untuk mendalami dampaknya dalam pendidikan anak usia dini.

Abstract

This research is moltivated by children whol have difficulty distinguishing volwels and colnsolnants. This study aims tol improlve ability tol reading skills in children aged 5-6 years at TK Negeri Pembina 3 Pekanbaru. The type olf research used is experimlental research with a olne grolup pretest-polsttest design. The polpulatioln olf the study was children in grolup b whol were aged 5-6 years at TK Negeri Pemlbina 3 Pekanbaru, toltaling 6 classes olf 80l children. The samlpling technique was purpolsive samlpling with a toltal olf 20l children aged 5-6 years. Data colllectioln techniques using early reading ability olbservatioln sheets and LKA. The data analysis technique used is a quantitative approlach. The results olf the pretest study olbtained a percentage olf 46% and the results olf the polsttest sholwed an increase in the percentage olf 81l%. Based oln the results olf the study, it can be colncluded that there is an effect olf the use olf rolller bolx mledia oln ability tol reading skills in children aged 5-6 years at TK Negeri Pemlbina 3 Pekanbaru, which is 77.78%.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the competencies of prospective early childhood teachers in integrating Technological Knowledge (TK), Pedagogical Knowledge (PK), Content Knowledge (CK), Technological Pedagogical Knowledge (TPK), Technological Content Knowledge (TCK), Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK), and Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK). This study uses a descriptive method and data is collected through a structured questionnaire. The sample consisted of 20 students from the Early Childhood Teacher Education Study Program, class of 2021. The results of the study show that high performance in TPACK with the "Very Good" category connects strong mastery of Technological Knowledge (TK), Pedagogical Knowledge (PK), and Content Knowledge (CK) which means that the student is not only proficient in using technology but also in teaching and understanding content very effectively. The "Good" category often shows increased pedagogical and content knowledge and the ability to apply technology better. Meanwhile, students with "Average" performance generally have a basic understanding of all components but still have difficulty integrating them effectively. The “Medium” category appears in the components of Pedagogical Knowledge (PK), Content Knowledge (CK), Technological Pedagogical Knowledge (TPK), Technological Content Knowledge (TCK), and Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK). In this case, additional support is needed to improve the skills of prospective teacher students in combining technology, pedagogy, and content.

Abstract

This research aims to develop GEduk BaBe (Educative Game Based on Betawi Culture) to improve the ability to recognize geometric shapes for children aged 5-6 years. The type of research used is research and development. The steps taken are : are analysis which aims to identify the needs to develop GEduk BaBe, the design stage which is preparing the initial product design for GEduk BaBe, the development stage which is integrating the technology that will be used by producing media products that are validated by experts, the implementation stage which is conducting a trial of the GEduk BaBe product to ensure it functions properly (practically) or not and finally the evaluation stage to determine the effectiveness of the GEduk BaBe media. Data collection techniques using observation, questionnaires and LKA. The instrument used was a questionnaire for validation of GEduk BaBe from media experts, material experts and educators. The data analysis technique used is quantitative descriptive analysis technique. In the research, media expert validation was obtained at 90.63% "Very Appropriate", material expert validation was 93.75% "Very Appropriate", and educator validation obtained a percentage result of 86.88% "Very Appropriate". The results of the pretest assessment obtained a percentage result of 36.20% and the results of the posttest assessment showed an increase in the percentage result of 79.43%. From the research results, it was concluded that GEduk BaBe (Educative Game Based on Betawi Culture) is suitable for use as a learning medium in improving the ability to recognize geometric shapes in children aged 5-6 years at RA Ar-Ridwan, South Jakarta.
