Abstract

This study aims to investigates the determinants of responsible tourism behavior among Millennial and Generation Z visitors to Cetho Temple, a cultural and spiritual heritage site in Indonesia. Employing a mixed-methods approach, data were collected from 400 survey respondents and through in-depth interviews with tourists, destination managers, and local stakeholders. Quantitative analysis using SmartPLS 4 reveals that technology (T = 4.842; p < 0.001) and governance & policy (T = 3.657; p < 0.001) significantly influence responsible tourism practices. Social factors exert a marginal yet notable impact (p = 0.045), highlighting the role of peer and community influence. In contrast, educational, economic, environmental, and behavioral intent variables were not statistically significant. Qualitative insights corroborate these findings: Millennials tend to acquire responsible tourism values through formal education, while Gen Z relies more on social media. Despite its potential, technology remains underutilized by destination managers. The study recommends strengthening digital transformation and educational initiatives that integrate diverse sustainable tourism models, such as wellness, heritage, and community-based tourism, to foster long-term sustainability and responsible visitor behavior at heritage sites like Cetho Temple.

Abstract

This study was conducted in response to the still-found cases of elementary school students experiencing limited balanced nutritional intake due to inadequate daily packed meals and the habit of eating random snacks, which negatively impact physical condition and learning concentration in the classroom. The Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG) emerges as a school-based nutritional intervention expected to systematically address these issues. This study aims to analyze the role of MBG in improving nutritional status and food preference levels among beneficiary students. The study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design, conducted through in-depth interviews with the school principal and classroom teachers, as well as document review comprising school health records and daily food distribution reports. The results revealed various positive changes observed in students, including stable weight gain of approximately 1–2 kg based on routine school records, fresher and more energetic facial appearance, reduced complaints of hunger and dizziness before dismissal time, and improved attendance rates due to students falling ill with fever or flu less frequently. The scheduled group dining atmosphere supervised by teachers made students more disciplined and enthusiastic in enjoying the daily menu consisting of rice, vegetables, protein side dishes such as chicken or egg, and fresh fruits, so that consumption of nutritious food became more routine and the level of preference toward various types of food increased significantly. The study concludes the MBG program plays a meaningful role in improving nutritional status both behavior.

Abstract

The growth of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) increasingly requires the utilisation of information technology capable of providing accurate and relevant data to support strategic decision-making. In this context, the implementation of an Accounting Information System (AIS) must be evaluated to ascertain its contribution to managerial performance. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of AIS implementation in supporting strategic decisions at the MSME Toko Besi Bima Raya Group by employing the DeLone and McLean Information Systems Success Model as an analytical framework. A qualitative approach with a case study design was adopted. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the owner, store managers, cashiers, and operational staff, complemented by direct observation and examination of financial records. The data were analysed thematically based on six construct of the model: system quality, information quality, service quality, use, user satisfaction, and net benefits. The findings indicate that the system effectively supports daily operations through its ease of use and alignment with business requirements. The information generated is regarded as accurate, timely, and comprehensive in facilitating inventory management, cash flow monitoring, and sales evaluation. However, the service dimension requires further improvement, particularly regarding technical assistance and advanced feature development. The high frequency of system utilisation contributes to user satisfaction and results in improved stock control efficiency and enhanced quality of strategic decisions. It is concluded that AIS effectiveness depends on the integration of system quality, information quality, service support, and user experience, thereby necessitating continuous evaluation to sustain MSME performance.

Abstract

Micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) play an important role in supporting the local economy, especially in areas far from major urban centers. However, comprehensive studies linking visitors' perceptions of weekend MSME activities with regional perspectives are still limited. This study aims to analyze visitors' perceptions of MSME activities on weekends and the regional conditions of the Padan Liu Burung area, Malinau Regency, as a supporting space for these activities. Data were collected through questionnaires and semi-structured interviews with 42 respondents in January 2026, then analyzed using descriptive statistics on a 1–5 Likert scale and thematic analysis triangulated with survey findings. The results show that perceptions of MSME activities are in the high category (M = 4.149; SD = 0.512), especially in terms of liveliness and social interaction. Perceptions of regional conditions were also high (M = 3.868; SD = 0.583), but lower than the activity dimension, particularly in terms of cleanliness, supporting facilities, stall layout, and parking management. These findings indicate that the area has developed as a dynamic temporary public space but still faces challenges in spatial governance. Theoretically, this study proposes that the sustainability of temporary public spaces based on MSMEs requires a balance between experiential value and spatial governance, so that high social vitality needs to be balanced with adaptive infrastructure and spatial management capacity. These findings contribute to economic geography and regional planning studies in understanding the spatiotemporal dynamics of community-based local economic activities.

Abstract

This research analyzes the performativity of muslimah style as a dramaturgical strategy applied by muslim female students in gaining social-esteem on social media. The research uses a qualitative approach with a dramaturgical perspective to understand how muslimah identity is displayed and managed in digital space. Data was obtained through in-depth interviews with eight muslimah students from various universities in Indonesia who are active in uploading muslimah style content on social media and represented in the digital space, accompanied by observation of the informants digital content. The results show that performativity of muslimah style is not only an expression of religious identity, but also a conscious strategy for managing impressions through front stage and back stage practices. Female students consciously curate visual displays, captions, and interactions with audiences to build an image of muslim women who are both religious and stylish. Digital feedback such as likes, comments, and the number of followers serve as a form of social evaluation that contributes to the formation of social esteem. These findings indicate that the performativity of muslimah style practice in the digital space is a strategic and complex managed performance, as well as an adaptive response to pressure from the fashion market, religious norms, and the logic of digital platforms.

Abstract

Academic examinations often trigger significant academic anxiety, especially among twelfth grade students who are preparing to take the SNBT examination. This condition is further intensified by the pressure of complex subject matter, intense competition,  high expectations for academic achievement, and the implementation of TKA examinations. Low self-efficacy is considered one of the main internal factors that contribute to the increase in academic anxiety experienced by students. Therefore, the goal of this study is to analyze the relationship between self-efficacy and academic anxiety among twelfth grade students who are preparing to face their SNBT examinations. The research method used in this study was a quantitative correlational approach. The population of this study consisted of 424 twelfth grade students from SMA Negeri 5 Medan. The research sample included 191 students who were selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using Likert scale instruments consisting  of an academic anxiety scale and a self-efficacy scale, both of which had been tested for their validity and reliability. Data analysis was conducted using the Pearson Product Moment Correlation technique with the assistance of IBM SPSS Statistics version 26 software. The results showed a correlation coefficient value of r=-0,441 with a significance level of 0,000 (p<0,05). These result indicate that there is a significant negative relationship between self-efficacy and academic anxiety. Based on the R Square value of 0,194, self-efficacy contributed 19,4% to academic anxiety, while the remaining 80,6% was influenced by the other variables outside this study. Overall, most students were categorized at a moderate level for both self-efficacy and academic anxiety.

Abstract

This study aims to design an Augmented Reality (AR)-based catalog as a visual branding strategy for Dukuh Demping Tourism Village, Karanganyar. Despite its strong potential in ritual-based cultural tourism, Dukuh Demping has not yet been optimally developed due to the lack of integrated promotional media. In the post-pandemic context, there is a growing need for interactive and accessible digital-based promotion. This research adopts a practice-based research approach within visual communication design. Data were collected through participatory observation and in-depth interviews with key stakeholders, including the local tourism awareness group (Pokdarwis) and community members. The design process follows the Alberta Teachers reflective cycle (planning, action, observing, reflecting) and is integrated with visual branding principles by Marty Neumeier. The result of this study is an AR catalog titled Lirikan Demping, which integrates printed media with interactive digital content accessible via Instagram without requiring additional applications. The catalog features 3D visualizations, bilingual layout, and QR-based access to cultural performances, creating an experiential branding approach that enhances user engagement. Additionally, Grono Ireng videos also produced and posted in official YouTube channel of Tinthir Pokdarwis as branding strategy that carries virtual tourism messages. In conclusion, the integration of physical and digital media offers an effective and accessible visual branding strategy for tourism villages. However, the sustainability of AR technology remains a limitation, particularly due to dependency on third-party platforms. Future development should consider more sustainable alternatives such as WebAR.

Abstract

Digital media enables sports fans to challenge official club narratives; however, studies exploring the use of the biological body as a medium for satire remain limited. This research aims to examine how the body transforms into a visual metric of a club's failure and how this practice triggers contested authorship between fans and professional athletes in the digital space, focusing on the viral case of the Instagram account @theunitedstrand. This study employs a qualitative netnographic approach utilizing visual and comment interaction analysis. The concepts of textual poaching by Henry Jenkins and affective publics by Zizi Papacharissi are used as theoretical lenses. The study reveals three key findings: (1) fans engage in textual poaching by reappropriating official match result narratives into a satirical bodily performance, turning their hair into a "living scoreboard"; (2) interactions in the comment section form affective publics bound by shared suffering and dark humor; and (3) this phenomenon creates contested authorship, as evidenced by the resistant reactions of professional players competing for narrative authority. It is concluded that social media empowers fans to commodify their personal suffering into a dominant narrative that effectively disrupts the traditional sports hierarchy.

Abstract

The informal economy is a common economic activity in Indonesia. Participation in the informal economy is predominantly carried out by women, particularly those belonging to the urban poor. This study aims to fill the research gap regarding the adaptation of women entrepreneurs to digital payments by using Naila Kabeer's Gender and Poverty Theory as an analytical tool that generally highlights the process of poverty that is closely related to gender relations and positions women as an adjustment variable in the poverty trap. This study uses a qualitative research approach with a case study research type. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews with two informants who are also micro and small business owners in Bidara Cina with two different characteristics: business owners who provide cashless transactions and business owners who do not provide cashless transactions. The results show that women entrepreneurs have the burden of reproductive responsibilities as well as being business owners, which places women in a subordinate position as well as an adjustment variable in the family economy. The burden of domestic work and care affects the running of businesses carried out by women entrepreneurs. The condition of women as entrepreneurs is also increasingly vulnerable due to limited access and control over resources, knowledge, and service systems in the digital economy, which makes it difficult for women micro and small business owners. Digital economic policies also cause shocks due to the unpreparedness of women entrepreneurs to adapt due to various multidimensional problems that further strengthen the unequal position of women in the economy, especially in the digital economy.
