Abstract

Preparing the current generation for education is very important. Implementation of the learning process is a way to achieve educational goals. Learning media can support the learning process and function as well as possible. Student Worksheets are one type of effective learning resource (LKPD). Designing LKPD with social and scientific issues (Socio-Scientific Issues) integrated into it is one way to inspire students to actively seek solutions to the challenges they face. LKPD produced with an emphasis on problem solving is LKPD that can be used in learning. When LKPD is combined with social studies topics, students become more involved, independent and cooperative, thereby helping them solve problems and sharpen their critical thinking skills. Through a study of various journal papers that are related to each other and published between 2018 and 2024, this research uses descriptive research in the form of literature review. Referenced papers are published in Indonesian and English and can be found in a number of media databases, including Google Scholar and Science Direct. SSI's integrated LKPD has an impact on the teaching and learning process, according to the findings of the article review, because it helps students become aware of the dangers of the environment around them. Considering that the Integrated Socio-Scientific Issues (SSI) LKPD can improve students' critical thinking, it can be said to be suitable for use in the classroom.  Keywords: Student Worksheet, Literature Review, Socio-Scientific Issue

Abstract

Green tea is an ingredient that contains a lot of secondary metabolites in it. Flavonoids, polyphenols, terpenoids and saponins are types of secondary metabolites that have health benefits, namely antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anticancer properties. One way to obtain these various compounds is by extraction using the maceration method, where the active compounds are dissolved using methanol, water, ethyl acetate or ethanol. This study aims to determine the type of solvent that is widely used in the maceration method for extracting green tea leaves. The data collection method used in preparing this journal review is literature study from various journals, books and research articles originating from Google Scholar. The results show that the solvent that is widely used in green tea leaf extraction is ethanol. Based on the results of the journal review, it can be concluded that the large amount of ethanol used in the maceration method of green tea leaf extract is based on ethanol's ability to penetrate cell walls and attract target compounds more quickly. Abstract

People need to keep learning new things because technological advances make it a necessity to remain current. In order for education in Indonesia to remain competitive, updates must be made to the curriculum. Currently, the Merdeka Curriculum is being implemented in Indonesia. The independent curriculum has six dimensions that become a reference, which is called the Pancasila learner profile. One of the six dimensions of the Pancasila student profile is having faith and devotion to God Almighty, which this dimension can be implemented by increasing ESQ. This study aims to determine the needs of ESQ nuanced e-handout learning media in schools. The subject in this research is a biology teacher at SMAN 2 Batang Anai and 40 Phase F students. The type of research is descriptive qualitative, with data retrieval techniques through interviews to biology teachers and filling out questionnaires by students. The results of the study found that teachers at the school had never implemented ESQ in learning. Teachers also argue that an additional learning media is needed that contains ESQ components on the material of the circulatory system. In addition, it was found that students agreed that the development of e-handout learning media with ESQ nuances needs to be done to support understanding and interest in learning, especially the circulatory system material. Therefore, it is obvious that the circulatory system material requires the development of E-Handout with ESQ nuances as a supplement in learning media in high school. Abstract

Diet is the most important behavior that can influence nutritional conditions. This can happen because the health level of a person and society can be influenced by the food and drink consumed based on its quality and quantity. Eating patterns that can cause hypertension are unhealthy foods such as snack habits, snack habits, instant food and fast food or foods that contain potassium. Foods that contain excessive fat can pose a risk of hypertension because they increase cholesterol levels in the blood. This study aims to determine the relationship between diet and the risk of hypertension among students, especially biology students at Ocean University. This research uses quantitative descriptive methods, using a quantitative approach using analytical observational research. The data analysis technique used in this research is two analyses, namely univariate analysis and bivariate analysis. The results of this study showed that there were 10 people with a percentage of 31.25% who were detected as normal (not at risk of developing hypertension) and there were 22 people with a percentage of 68.75% who were detected as having a risk of developing hypertension. This study also shows that there is a relationship between diet and the risk of hypertension with the value ∑X2 table (3.48)> ∑X2 calculated (2.6). So you need to pay attention to your diet to avoid the risk of hypertension. Keywords: Hypertension, Dietary Habit, Student

Abstract

The situation where there is a mismatch between the student's initial concept and the conception put forward by the expert results in students being very confident in the wrong concept or called a misconception. There are several circumstances that can lead to misconceptions. This study used Three-Tier Multiple Choice diagnostic examination with the help of Google Form to determine the misconceptions and contributing variables held by students of class XI at SMAN 16 Samarinda regarding the material of the excretory system. The researcher used a descriptive research design using a sample of class XI-2 which amounted to 33 students. Based on the results of data analysis, students' concept understanding of the excretory system material is divided into four categories, namely understanding the concept (60%), understanding the concept but not sure (3%), misconceptions (23%), and not understanding (14%). The majority of misconceptions were in the category of questions about urine formation and anatomy and physiology of parts of the excretory system. The average misconception is 23%, the level of student misconceptions is included in the low group. Factors causing misconceptions in students are due to themselves such as students' learning abilities and lack of interest in learning, while from outside themselves such as less conducive classroom conditions, lack of laboratory tools and materials, students who do not dare to ask questions and are not focused, students who still learn overnight, and limited learning time so that the explanation cannot be conveyed in full.  Keywords: Misconception, Test Diagnostic Three-Tier Multiple Choice, Google Form
