Natural: Jurnal Ilmiah Pendidikan IPA offers an interdisciplinary forum for the publication of original peer-reviewed, contributed and invited research articles of the highest quality that address different topics of science education with implications for improving and enhancing science education practices and theories. The topics involves biology, chemistry, physics, as well as some applications pedagogy and teacher development. The journal provides an invigorating and informative variety of research papers that expand and deepen our theoretical understanding. It also provides practice and policy based implications in the relevant contexts of science education.
Published biannualy, the journal employs a rigorous peer review process. We do not accept manuscripts which are not easily understandable in English or do not address our major focus.

Science learning is related to life and phenomena that occur in the surrounding environment. The learning process will be more meaningful if science is associated with the culture that develops around the community environment and can also be called using an ethnoscience approach. However, science learning in general still does not integrate the culture of both the school environment and the environment of the students. This culture can be learned by learners starting from daily activities such as in the process of making food products, one of which is in the fermentation process in the manufacture of tempeh. This study aims to identify ethnoscience in the fermentation process that can be implemented in learning. Research method used in the form of literature review method. Data collection is done by observation, interview, and analysis of articles or journals. Data analysis techniques are carried out by analyzing the results of observations, interviews, and scientific articles. The results of this literature study prove that ethnoscience-based science learning is important to be implemented in order to foster the critical thinking skills of learners.

This study aims to determine the increase in digital literacy and the response of prospective elementary school teacher students to the implementation of the Blended Project Based Learning model. This research is a quasi-experimental research (pre-experiment) with a one group shoot case study design. This study consisted of one experimental class that received a treatment, which was given learning with the Blended Project Based Learning model to improve digital literacy, then at the end of the lesson its effectiveness was analyzed by analyzing the increase (N-Gain) of digital literacy, as well as the responses of prospective elementary school teacher students at the University of PGRI Semarang towards the ongoing learning process. It is concluded that the implementation of the Blended Project Based Learning model can improve students' digital literacy at high criteria. Students also responded that the implementation of the Blended Project Based Learning model had been going very well during the learning process. Pandemi COVID-19 menuntut peserta didik untuk menjadi pelajar yang mandiri. Namun, sebagian besar peserta didik masih mengalami ketergantungan terhadap guru dalam belajar, sehingga keterampilan proses sains peserta didik masih rendah. Pada masa pandemi COVID-19 dibutuhkan bahan ajar berupa modul daring yang dapat membantu ketrampilan proses sains pada pembelajaran IPA secara mandiri. Peserta didik dapat belajar secara mandiri tanpa atau dengan bimbingan guru. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mendeskripsikan modul yang sesuai dalam meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains peserta didik kelas VIII pada pembelajaran daring. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan model Borg dan Gall yang dibatasi pada tahap research and information collecting. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu analisis kualitatif dengan pengumpuan data melalui hasil kajian literatur terkait modul, keterampilan proses sains, dan Tri Nga. Tahap research and information collecting memberikan hasil bahwa Modul Usaha dan Pesawat Sederhana Berbasis Ngerti, Ngrasa, Nglakoni (Tri Nga) sesuai digunakan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains siswa kelas VIII.

Abstract. Comprehension is a person's ability to understand something and interpret concepts that have been known or obtained previously. Google Classroom is a learning application created by Google to help educators and students do distance learning. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of google classroom in improving students' understanding of science learning at SD Muhammadiyah MBS Prambanan. The research method used was quasy experimental with a pretest-posttest only control group research design. Sampling was done by saturated sampling technique. The first sample is all students of class IV C totaling 16 students as the control class, and the second sample is all students of class IV D totaling 16 students as the experimental class. The results of the analysis show that there is no significant difference to online learning using google classroom with direct learning (conventional). This is shown from the results of the independent sample test where the sig. (2-tailed) 0.121> 0.05, which means that Ho is accepted and H1 is rejected. Whereas in the paired sample test, the sig value was obtained. (2-tailed) of 0,000 then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, which means that there is a mean difference between the pretest and posttest in the experimental class and the control class. Based on these results it can be concluded that google classroom is effective in improving students' understanding of science learning at SD Muhammadiyah MBS Prambanan.

This article is structured to determine the effectiveness of Problem Based Learning and Problem Solving learning models on students' critical thinking skills. Data collection is done by collecting books and journals and then reading and reviewing them. After all the data was collected, testing and comparison of the effectiveness of the two learning models were carried out. The data analysis technique was carried out qualitatively by quoting the appropriate opinion. The results showed that the problem-based learning model is a very good model used in physics learning to improve students' critical thinking skills. This can be seen from the many learning theories that support the Problem Based Learning model and have succeeded in increasing critical thinking skills. Meanwhile, the Problem Solving learning model has not been fully implemented optimally, because learning activities are still teacher centered. The successful application of the social system that has been implemented has not accommodated the improvement of critical thinking skills. The learning Media used today is sophisticated because it utilizes information technology. However, simple teaching aids still remain relevant in science learning. The purpose of this study is to determine the validity of the props that have been made, namely props "boat raft" in the application of Archimedes law. Testing the validity of the props also made use of virtual laboratory simulation "Archimedes law" on the site of Virtual Lab, home of learning. The research method used in this study is design-research by utilizing small-scale Class Trials. Data processing in determining validity using Aiken's coefficient V. The validity of props according to two science teachers is more effective in virtual laboratory simulation of "Archimedes law". Interest and motivation of students while learning the majority respond interesting and easy in the use of raft boat props. The students ' responses to the media props test the effectiveness of the raft boat props in terms of design aspects, aspects of quality and aspects of effectiveness. The results obtained indicate that the virtual laboratory simulation “Archimedes law” has the potential to increase motivation and interest in learning in students.

Bengkulu Province is one of the areas in Indonesia that often experiences landslides, especially during the rainy season. Therefore it is necessary to have landslide disaster mitigation education for students. The purpose of this study was to design integrated natural science learning for landslide relief. The method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data collection through teacher interviews, syllabus analysis, and literature study. Then the data obtained were analyzed to obtain a learning design. The results of this study are science learning designs that are integrated with landslide disaster mitigation. The concept of IPA that can be inserted is motion, namely Newton's law, where landslides occur due to movement in the ground. The learning process can be carried out using the STEM approach with the PJBL (Project Based Learning) model. So that this learning design will be contextual because it relates to everyday life. This learning design will later make working in groups in designing simple student technology as a response to landslide disasters. It is hoped that after learning students will more easily understand the concept of science because it is integrated with landslide disasters which are close to their lives and can apply it in everyday life.
